Great video! Both my parents born and raised there. My grandmother still lives there. She’s 95. I love to go and visit. Have been there at least 20 times. Sucks we couldn’t go this year due to travel restrictions.
The snake is a juvenile Large Whip Snake (Dolichophis caspius). The lizards are Greek Algyroides (Algyroides moreoticus) and a Ionian Wall Lizard (Podarcis ionicus). The turtles are Hermann's Tortoise (Testudo hermanni) and Loggerhead Sea Turtle (Caretta caretta).
I saw a giant millipeed in a restaurant garden one afternoon in Katelios, Kefalonia. The waiter said that they are poisonous and should not be bothered.
I have been going there for nearly thirty years on holiday, have seen most of these creatures except the scorpion.😳 Beautiful film thank you.🌺
Thank you 😊 this is probably my favourite vid to make out of all the ones I've done!

My father was born and raised here, and is now buried there too. I wish I could move there from the US.
I wish I could afford to live there regardless of heavy rain on my pension from the lousy UK
It's a lovely place, I hope you make it there sometime
Such a laid back way of life there but unfortunately quite expensive place to live
Amazing. !!
Thank you spiros!
Is the snake at 3.34 a Montpelier snake? I saw some as I was in Kefalonia the past four days.
Neil Uk Not sure Neil, ive tried to find out the type of snake but many look alike!
