Why I Left Christianity pt. 2 (it’s not what you think)

  • This video is a follow-up to the other video on my channel called why I left Christianity. Because of the amount of comments and dialogue that cropped up on that video I have decided to do a second, follow up to the original. Here I describe my upbringing and why I ultimately decided to leave the faith that I knew as my entire world. I hope at least this creates dialogue, and at most help somebody who is in a state of confusion like I was. Much love to all of you ❤️✨

It is possible to be so dedicated to the Christian faith that you eventually grow out of it. Not that you give up everything necessarily, but just that you grow into a deeper and more mature worldview.

This is a challenge to Christians and also to most people in western culture (Europe, North America, areas in south America, the Middle east, Japan etc.) There are people dying from hunger, lack of medical care, lack of potable water, exposure to the elements, military actions. This is happening every second of every day. Here we are cooking or eating out with elaborate foods often times throwing away the excess. We live in homes with one or more bathrooms for every person, game rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, dens, offices, walk in closets, guest rooms expensive kitchens . We go on vacations, have a continuous delivery of Amazon gifts to ourselves. We drive vehicles that are twenty times our weigh. You get the idea. Most of us give something to charity some more than others but rarely to an extent that we deny ourselves much of anything. Yet in church in other organizations, Twitter, TH-cam, the business world, government , the media the situation hardly gets mentioned and never as a moral imperative. Just my opinion.

I led worship for 11 years. I taught Sunday school. I even stood behind the pulpit and taught. Even through all that, I was never that "100% on fire Christian". I went to church on Sundays and Wednesdays, and I tried to be a good Christian the other 5 days of the week. I was and still not am the perfect Christian. I feel more disconnected from God and Christianity now, because I've been questioning several things that the Bible says and I've been doubting my salvation for the last 3-4 years. I'm not saying I've gone full apostate or atheist, but I know I'm not full Christian either. Unfortunately, Christians are some of the biggest hypocrites in the world. They'll pray for you on Sunday, then cuss you out on Tuesday for something that happened several years ago. This whole process has even made me have thoughts of taking my life because I just can't live the perfect and sinless life that the Bible tells us to, and I also don't want to sin and have to keep continuing to come back because grace and forgiveness is offered. I'm extremely confused and questioning several things right now, and I'm really depressed and discouraged about it. I just don't know what to do. I know I don't want to spend eternity in hell, but I also know that I just can't live the sinless and holy life that Christians are expected to live because I'm not perfect.

People ask "What are you?" meaning Baptist, Methodist, etc. Many come out and suppose religion and ask, "What Church do you go to?" And it is fine to say, "I used to go to Mouth Bethel, now I go to Mount Moriah" sometimes it is b/c more friends go to Mount Moriah.

It could not fathom, that if this me that I am is all the me I will be, why is this me so awful? If I can be no better than What I am? Why not climb my ladder of potential. The bible does not teach that there is any potential in you at all. It says you need a savior. And again, the question begs: a savior from what? It's a warm feeling to think a powerful all everything God has your back. It truly is... However. I have left the life behind. I realized I did not need saving.

Thank you for sharing these two videos on why you left Christianity, it is certainly an interesting perspective. I would say that it's impossible, after knowing of the existence of God, that you could ever lose faith. I do agree that it may be typical for Christians to lack genuine self-awareness that one may associate with enlightenment. But, that shallow awareness also represents nearly all of the population, not just the Christian population. Therefore, the "Christian faith" should not be limited by the people representing it. The text, in my opinion, points towards Jesus Christ, who is the true cornerstone of Christianity. The part that is foundational for me as someone who has recently started identifying as "Christian", is that Jesus is a person. Jesus is someone who you can spend time with and build a relationship with. This, to me, is what Christianity is all about; spending time with Jesus, receiving insight that only God can provide, and being led by His spirit. As far as what the Body of Christ, or the other Christians can offer you, it is of course different at every church. It is a rare, and beautiful blessing when the church becomes an extension of one's family. If you don't have a church gathering that can be as welcoming as family, and you desire to have that, then it's likely that Jesus is dying to talk to you, perhaps even about relocation.
A lot of people don't have spiritual perception, but His people all know his voice, and there are ways to grow and develop the spiritual perception that Christian pastors typically do not ever teach, which is my only grievance of the church so far. But teaching others to gain spiritual perception may not be the job of the pastor, it's the job of the Holy Spirit. In my own experience, deep relaxation therapy not long after good exercise is how I began to experience Spiritual visions, and visions of Jesus, and God, the creator of the Universe. I led these relaxation practices with listening to my emotions, rather than my thoughts, which allowed me to gain a better understanding of my subconscious mind. I had the curiosity of God too, because I overdosed on fentanyl, twice, and I felt like there was probably someone, much greater than myself, who had my back. Western life, I feel, has gotten too easy for people to see God be real in their everyday lives. It took a lot of pain, then what should have been death, and for God to supernaturally reverse it ALL for me to know without a shadow of a doubt that God is who He says He is.

I also resonate very much with your observation of being most open to hearing God after exercise during a meditative state. Keep sharing your thoughts- if not here, with those you trust. You have a keen sense of what truly matters. And in a noisy world, this is invaluable. 🤌

@@ezekielgentle This is so true. I daresay most churches are fake and bad... or at the very least asleep. I had/have a tangible relationship with Christ as a real being. Growing up the Holy Spirit was something I felt every single day without fail. He is the definition of real, realer than you or I. Life had a definitive flow to it.
But moving to the southern united states I encountered this fake, soulless, southern baptist bible belt Christianity everywhere - all performative, all operative, man-enforced, structural, money-hungry. Many people that claimed they were "Christian" used the label to describe their ingroup, not what their heart actually knew/related to in Christ. Lots of worldly, hypocritical, braindead, unawakened behavior. It was as if nobody actually believed. I worked for 3-4 "Christian" companies (who I've since forgiven, Jesus bless them) that underpaid me and made me feel like dirt. My heart broke and my trust eroded. This ignited an existential crisis where I apostatized - was I crazy the whole time? But it was all fueled by the collective gaslighting - God as an idea or fun thought we orchestrate on sundays, not as GOD ALMIGHTY THE REAL LIVING CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE.
This is the big issue with the bible. It waters down God to a concept, words on a page, stories. All head knowledge, canon. But God is with you despite whether or not you leave your bible at home. He's so much bigger than we give Him credit for, credit He rightfully deserves. Many churches are about autistically studying the bible instead of relating to God in a literal sense. Above all else, God wants your heart, your desire. Your relationship. And the result of such a relationship is ultimate peace in the soul. Something more valuable than diamonds, and something ONLY obtainable via God in your life. This is why idols and medicating behavior of any kind makes you feel dead inside, your heart is relying on or paying attention to something other than God.
This is why "Christian" movies are so cheap and dumb. Most of the people making them are, in all likelihood, not literal believers. They're just "Christian". You need to find the true believers with the Holy Spirit. It's incredible. I was at a worship night recently with people who actually had the Holy Spirit, and someone prophesied about my life (read my mind basically) who I had never talked to in my life. It's all very real. Later I felt more connected and loved than I ever had in my life, and had delightful conversation/brotherhood. The Holy Spirit was definitely there.
A good tell is how much doubt someone has. If someone claims they're "Christian" but then trusts in anything other than God for provision, or is overcome with immense fear all the time about life, they're in all likelihood not on healthy terms. I hear "you're the man you gotta be the provider" all the time, but truly God is in control, has a plan, and gets to provide. If that's not what you believe, then you're *by definition* not a believer. A lot of people here idolize men as the mystical provider when in reality it's God who is in control of the opportunities. Because of this, people in the south brace for God to fail them, saying "come what may". Which, ironically, is actually pretty blasphemous when you think about it. How pathetic is a god who you have to account for their failures to provide for you or take care of you? It makes no sense. The doubt is incredible. I never want my heart to be conditioned that way.
Anyone who says they're a "Christian" and doesn't have tangible conviction is about as dead in the water and phony as you can get. I realized this recently about the area I'm living in and am, not at all coincidentally, planning to relocate, just like OP's post said. I'm tired of people voicing doubts about God. I am yearning for a church body to call family. Meanwhile, God has opened up a job opportunity there right on time, and I've met a few people there, right on time. Turns out when you trust God implicitly with life, things start to flow again, because He's mighty.

Interesting video and it makes sense. I think some people have different ideas of what it is to be a believer. I used to go to a Pentecostal church. You quickly realize if you are to take following the rules literally even trying your best you will constantly be making mistakes. Get ready to repent like a mad person. I studied Calvinism. Some aspects of that are repulsive. I now have a free grace worldview. This is based on one time faith. It also coincides with Paul’s teachings about not being under the law. I sympathize with people with other points of view, more now, including atheist and unreached people groups. I think being a Christian means many different things to different people. I think the free grace theology makes more sense

Nah the Bible makes previsions for cases such as yours. "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us." 1 John 2:19.
Once a person experiences the supernatural, internal transformation wrought by the Holly Ghost, the person becomes a new creature with new desires 2 Corinthians 5. This transformation is IRREVERSIBLE. So once experienced, there's no way back. Like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. The change is irreversible. BUT if this transformation never takes place, you can do all the christian things: sing the songs, read the bible cover to cover, go to church 2/7, go to bible study, go to seminary and the whole nine yards, yet you are not a christian. You can enter a garage and stay there the rest of your life but that doesn't make you a car. Sooo, don't fool yourself. You were never a christian. You did the christian "stuff" no question about that. But the internal, supernatural new birth never took place. And that's why you "left" christianity.

Hey Ezekiel, I believe I watched and commented part 1 earlier today. I agree that scriptural interpretation is subjective for thousands of denominations however, Jesus Christ founded one Church. What is the foundation? What came first? The New Testament or the Church? Jesus said to Peter, “you are Peter and on this rock, I will build my Church.” (Matthew 16:18) When the 12 disciples went to preach the gospel they preached sacred tradition by word of mouth. The New Testament did not yet exist. The Roman Catholic Church has 72 books canonized books of the Bible. Around the time of Protestantism, 6 books were taken out because they supported the doctrine of purgatory. The Catechism of the Catholic Church provides scriptural references why Catholics believe what we believe and Church doctrine has been around for centuries.
Proverbs 22:15 states, “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far way. We have free-will to follow Jesus Christ. If Jesus Christ loved us by laying down his life, shouldn’t we follow him? What moral compass is higher than this? As Apostle Paul states, “we are crucified Jesus took the curse for us as Apostle Pauls states, “When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in Scriptures. Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree”. (Galatians 3:13)
I think humility is beautiful. I allows us to respect those who come before us, elders, parents, those who teach us, those who sacrifice themselves on our behalf. That is the beauty of humility. How else should we live? Is it better to live for ourselves or for others. Wouldn’t you agree that the life of mother Teresa was a life worth living since she was self giving? Doesn’t God know our true identity since he created us? Thank you for testimony.

Listening to your frustration, you actually remind me lf myself when the Lord called me closer to him. He reveled that he does still speak today and wants intimacy and fellowship, not just to save us from hell aka fire insurance. However, i quickly got consumed with my world again when thise closest to me and the examples of faith dismissed me or what i was experiencing. Diminishing or undermining how seeious i was taking God for the first time in my life. I was resentful for years and didnt even know that root of bitterness wasnt of the Lord and made it even harder to understand the revelations and teachings of Jesus
We are in evil days, and one of those evils is unforgiveness, resentment, grudges... im not holding that against you bc i know where it comes from, but i am saying that these weeds have grown with the seeds of the gospel that you still possess but is now corrupted. I hate giving you much to read, but my recommendation is to get into the word again for yourself to show yourself approved (hint: you wont - and thats okay!! Thats why jesus came❤ accept it, believe it, live from it)

Islam is the final revelation from the one true god. Christianity and Judaism were changed by the hands of men but the basic message was originally the same that there is one god worthy of worship. The Bible New Testament was written by anonymous authors hundreds of years after Jesus in a foreign language.

I don't disagree with you that many who claim to believe do not actually believe. It may be that many don't understand what it means to believe, or just plain hypocrisy, or any number of reasons. But we are told this is the case:
On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matt. 7:22-23)
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." (Matt. 7:13-14)
Nevertheless, you come across as knowing more than you could know about those who comment on your videos, and your tone is accusatory. In other words, you sound a lot like Satan at certain points here. You are not omniscient. When they threw Jonah overboard, they might have made a lot of assumptions about Jonah based on what THEY knew, but they didn't know about the fish, or the fact that Nineveh would have a revival, etc. So while I would agree with you THEOLOGICALLY that many who claim to have faith are in fact not "sown on good soil" (Matt. 13), my overall impression of your comments on this topic is that you see yourself as being in a position to accuse others you feel have not "committed" themselves in the same way you have.
Here is the bad news for you: if you do not believe, you never "committed" yourself to jack squat except yourself. You confused the ecstasy of pride with an experience of regeneration. If you have never experienced regeneration, then you will never be able to tell the difference, because pride is a counterfeit "salvation" experience of sorts that is nearly indistinguishable from the "real thing" if you don't know what you're talking about.
I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make with the "negative energy" thread of thought. If you have cancer, I'm not doing you any favors by telling you that you're actually perfectly healthy.
I will give you credit for two things: (1) you seem to have at least some vague understanding of why the Gospel actually makes sense, in terms of WHY we need a savior, and (2) you didn't mention anything about perverted sex. You made it on the very short list of "deconstruction" videos that don't ultimately land with "and finally, I figured out that there was nothing wrong with me screwing the people I've wanted to screw this whole time anyway."
99% of these "deconstruction" videos are just lame excuses for not feeling guilty over being a pervert. Maybe you reveal that in one of your other videos, I don't know. But at least you made ONE whole video where you didn't waste everyone's time waxing eloquent about your old study bible and how much you highlighted it, when all you really had to say was "I want to dress up like a pony and go to orgies every Friday night, so I quit going to church and now I don't feel guilty about it anymore." Bravo for that, believe me it's rare.

Let's face facts the bible says give to all those who ask, you will find a reason that I don't need it. If I hit you you will hit me back and repent. The devil is always forceful and strong who makes you do wrong against your will. The angels are always weak and passive begging you to do right. Anyone who seriously tries to be perfect is going to find out one thing and that is no matter what you do for Christ that it is NEVER ENOUGH.

And the life I live, I live by faith in Christ Jesus, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Who saved me from my inability to reach perfection, thanks to Adam and Eve. Thanks to a God who didn't leave us with a broken world with no solution, but entered the problem itself and gave the solution. And that solution is Jesus Christ :)
Because outside of Him who is the way, the truth, and the life, there is no hope, no basis of morality, of good and evil, or of any form of perfection, which is beholding Him, the source of all good, from whom there is no shadow of turning.
Satan asks many questions about God, and Jesus is the answer to those questions that casts doubts.

that is an interesting point of view but I can't agree with you on some of the things that you stated.
first off man cannot create something that will not eventually fade. life is but a brief and eventually your ideas eventually your ways and plans and all that purpose that you and someone else another man or a woman gave you will eventually die along side you. that's why I cannot agree with you on that statement. ensure from your point of view it is sad that I decided that I was going to allow a greater being to give me a purpose. but to me I rather trust someone that actually knows me then people that will no longer understand my heart.
second I do agree with you in certain points about how Christians act like hypocrites but I don't let that or what other people performance play a part in how I judge something or someone else. I focus on my relationship with that person sure I let other people's relationships give me a faint idea but I rather learn it firsthand cuz people might be Not What It Seems.
and lastly the Bible teaches that you must look into your heart the Bible reads you not the other way around. you should know this when you read the Bible you'll see certain things at the Bible calls us out on positions of our hearts how we think or perceive life it forces us to see that are nature is actively Wicked. and it's because of what Jesus taught but I become more and more comfortable looking inside myself and seeing yeah I have problems but now I know that I don't have to face him alone
and yes God is a choice he's not an obligation he's not going to force you in Jesus was saving us from ourselves

  • @MaviLeb

It's to be expected that most people who call themselves christian are lost. They have the outer appearence of christianiaty but they do not have Christ.
The real followers of the Lord Jesus are a minority and they do pray for people around them and share the gospel in good faith. They also live a life where they get sanctified more and more. But it's not them doing it but God doing it in them. And those people are hard to find even for a christian. Most churches and other places where believers go to can not be attended anymore because they all follow the ways of the world not the ways of the Lord.
If you follow christianity you follow men not God. To have faith in God and to have a relationship with him you don't need any religion or any denomination or cult or any group of people. It's a thing between you and God. If you have this relationship with the Lord you will be unable to leave. It won't be possible.
A believer will read in the bible that they are worth much more than they can even imagine. It's not about having a life that is just about being saved. Being saved is just the first step and you will be a new creature. Just being set free is worth so much.
So many people nowadays struggle with depression and thoughts of harming themselves or even want go a step further. They have no hope, no light and no real reason not to do it. Therapists can't really give them a reason not to do it, too. It's just some very shallow philosophy which is something like "don't do it because life's worth to be lived". But to be lived for what? To just be dust at the end and everything's over? Nothing you know, no one you know, not a single thing you think or anything you have now will stay. It will all be in vain just give it 100k years and if you were very famous maybe 1 million or even 1 billion years. It will be forgotten and no one will ever care about you or what you did anymore.
That is what it is to have no hope. But the bible says that God has made us to be in a relationship with him personally. That he is the light, the way and the truth. We can follow him and not be lost. We will be able to see things that we can't even imagine now and we can even see the glory of God in our lifetime if we follow him. We matter to God.

And Christianity proposes that god and its creation are different and in turn humans created in image of god. This is blatant dualist idea of god. That is false god. Law of karma states no individual can escape karma he must suffer for all the bad that he did and must enjoy for all the good . Hell and heaven doesn't exist. If you want to believe then its not a matter of concern because its a cycle. The individual is his ego , when ego is removed it is god. The one true god.

The New Testament gospels are not eyewitness accounts of Jesus. Mark Mathew Luke and John were not even written until the mid 2nd century to the third century. Learn some history. Christians read the Bible as literal history and that’s not what it is. It is a book of mostly mythological allegory and mythology in general. People did not live to be 600 years old nor did the human species start with Adam and Eve and Jesus was not born of a virgin either. It’s mythology. That’s all it is

You raise a good point. I have not shared my testimony here yet in full. Perhaps that would help shed more light on my current perspectives. Thank you for the question. Long story short, I was saved at 7 years old while living in Africa. My dad was a pastor and my mom the music minister at the church we planted as missionaries. A time came after a Sunday service when my mom was playing piano and I confided in her; a secret. I told her I felt that I was missing out. Like everyone else had something I wanted to have too but wasn’t sure how or what it was. She told me it was Jesus and walked me through the sinners prayer. She or we told my dad and then I walked down the aisle the next service to profess my faith in front of the congregation and get baptized. Through much turmoil and several years later, I was 14 and in America at a church camp where I felt called to recommit my life to Christ. Again, I walked down the aisle and with tears flooding my eyes, I reconnected through a pastor’s guidance with hundreds of kids next to me. I went further and deeper and became obsessed with living the way the New Testament describes Christians. In college I founded a small group that grew to be huge and influential in our college. Church leaders came and tried to take control of it but our purpose was specifically not associated with a church as they had tried and failed to reach this community before. During this time I was doing street ministry with very anointed people and I too learned how to speak miracles over people and observe their lives get changed in one way or another. It was only after moving to California with that same fervor and getting burned by church after church that I began to question my long term views. Having a close relationship with someone who is gay was also problematic as I believed they were going to hell based on scripture. So I slowly withdrew from these communities and then started questioning my depression… what if I wasn’t inherently evil? What if my heart wasn’t full of deceit the way the Bible teaches? What if the saving blood of Jesus has always been a cover up and proxy for me to gain value without ever believing I have value of my own? These questions toppled my faith at the time and I slowly began to understand the greater purpose of Christianity as a path and frame of mind rather than the reality we all share. I hope this helps. Let me know if you think this comment should be a video of its own.

The church that I am a part of has completely dedicated believers who are Bible believing and Bible obeying children of God. As far as I can say, they are non compromising and given to prayer and the study of the Word of God, The Holy Bible. Praise and worship are part of their devotion to The Lord Jesus. But YOU "don't have time for this anymore"? You are looking around at the hypocrisy of others, but what about YOUR walk with Jesus? What happened to your love for Him? If you are in Christ why have you embraced new age philosophy then? It would seem to me that you abandoned the faith in The Lord Jesus and His salvation for You because of strictly your discontentment with your life in Him.

I have one honest question; do you know for a fact that there is no God and Jesus is not the Messiah? I am not asking if you personally believe this, but rather, do you know for a fact. My point being, if you don't know for a fact, you are playing a VERY dangerous game? Because, IF Jesus is the Christ, and IF there is going to be a Judgement Day, you will be in big trouble. I really don't want a response from you, because you will, of course, play to your subscribers. I just would hope you would think this through. There have a been a lot of really intelligent scientists who believed in God (Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Max Planck etc) I am just saying, eternity is a long, long time. There will be no way out IF you are wrong and fail to come to Christ for the forgiveness of your sin. I know you said you were a Christian for a time, but I really question if you were born-again: filled with God's Holy Spirit. The Bible says in 1st John 2:19, " They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

But I..." and then He proceeds to give us over one thousand prophecies in the Bible to demonstrate that God's word can be trusted.
The Bible in the Old Testament predicted the Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah; Jesus was. The Bible predicted the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem; Jesus was. The Bible predicted the Messiah would be called a Nazarene; Jesus grew up in Nazareth. The Bible said the Messiah would be rejected by His own people; most Jews rejected Christ. The Bible said the Messiah would have his hands and feet pierced; it happened to Christ on the cross. (Do you think Jesus or his followers made this happen to fulfill prophecy, NO Rome decided how He would die) The Bible said the Messiah would be given vinegar; Jesus was given vinegar when He was hanging on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be buried in a rich man's tomb; Jesus was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, who was very rich. The Bible said the Messiah would die a criminal's death; Jesus was crucified between two criminals. The Bible said The Messiah would NOT have any broken bones; it was customary for crucified individuals to have their bones broken to hasten death, but when they came to Jesus, He was already dead. The Bible said the Messiah would be despised; the mobs spit on Jesus and mocked Him on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be a light unto the Gentiles (non-Jews) the Jews, by and large do NOT believe in Jesus, it is Gentiles (non-Jews) around the world who worship the Jewish Messiah, Jesus. The Bible says Jerusalem "...kills the prophets." While Jesus was much more than just a prophet, He was killed in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would be from the lineage of King David; Jesus was. The Bible said the Messiah would be called from Egypt; the parents of the infant Jesus, took Him to Egypt, until they were told they could bring Him back; the King who wanted to kill Him had himself died. The Bible said the Messiah would have people gamble for His clothes; the soldiers at the crucifixion gambled for Jesus' cloak. The Bible said the Messiah would bring in a new covenant; Jesus did. His death on the cross, once for all did away with the need for the slaughtering of lambs at the Jewish temple. The Bible said the Messiah would come 483 years AFTER the decree to re-build the temple; Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem on the very day as predicted. The Bible said the Messiah would suffer; Jesus was beaten, had his beard ripped out of His face, and was brutally nailed to the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be a prophet; Jesus predicted the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would come riding on a donkey; Jesus did. The Bible said the Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver; Judas Iscariot was given 30 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. The Bible said the Messiah would be a willing sacrifice; Jesus willingly went to the cross, and even predicted His death in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would be proceeded by a messenger; Jesus was heralded by John the Baptist. The Bible said the Messiah would be descended from Abraham; Jesus was a descendant of Abraham. The Bible said the Messiah would be lifted up; Jesus was lifted up on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would perform signs of healing; Jesus did. There are literally three HUNDRED prophecies fulfilled by Jesus.
He also adds over one hundred scientific facts in scripture in all fields of science that were written down, thousands of years BEFORE the great scientists of the world would discover them. For example, up to a few hundred years ago surgeons used to wash their hands in basins of water, until they discovered it became a bowl of germs. They started using running water. The Bible instructed the use of running water thousands of years earlier. Soldiers used to die from disease, until they finally figured out to do their toilet business outside the camp. The Bible thousands of years before this, instructed the Israeli soldiers to take a small shovel outside the camp and bury their waste. Doctors used to drain blood (blood-letting) from sick patients, but thousands of years ago the Bible said, the life is in the blood. It wasn't until a couple hundred years ago, that oceanographers discovered mountains rising off the ocean floor, but the Bible thousands of years ago spoke of these mountains. The Bible says, "It is God who spreads out the stars." Astrophysicists now say the very fabric of space is spreading out taking the galaxies along for the ride. Up until about five hundred years ago, astronomers thought there was about 4,000-5,000 stars. But the Bible in Genesis compares the number of stars to the grains of sand along the seashore. Astronomers now say there are at least twice as many stars as sand on all the beaches of the world. Albert Einstein in his paper on relativity stated that matter, energy, space and time itself all had a beginning. But thousands of years earlier in Genesis chapter one the Bible says, "In the beginning (a reference to time having a beginning) God created the earth (matter) the heavens (space) and said let there be light (energy). I don't want to make this so long people won't read it, but you can go any Christian bookstore and find books on the hundreds and hundreds of fulfilled prophecies, in the Bible. There were 256 totally fulfilled prophecies concerning the birth, life, ministry, and death of Christ alone. So, God in HIS word has told of science thousands of years in advance of it being discovered by the great scientific minds of the world, He has spoken prophetic utterances that have come true, over and over again, in a literal, not metaphorical sense, again, to demonstrate His authority. He is God, we are His creation. This is His world, His universe. He is sovereign. Look, it's a great deal; surrender to His only means of forgiving our sins and reconciling ourselves to HIM, Christ dying on the cross, and reap eternal life, eternal peace, eternal health, and eternal joy. OR reject His offer of pardon and receive your just punishment. I choose Jesus Christ.

Saved from our sins. That was Christ's atonement on the cross for us. I hope you will one day find the TRUE gospel of Christ. Apparently, and please forgive me, you haven't. I feel you have been deceived by a false Christian religion that number in the hundreds of thousands worldwide and that is why you left. All of which are completely demonic and unbiblical. True churches and Christians in the body of Christ DO practice what the bible teaches. Only a very small handful exist today.

None exist today. The Bible was never intended to be the harmonized Word of God and the fact it's used that way is disgraceful. Christianity only took off because it's actually easy to misunderstand the message of the books on any one topic so there are divergent views on Scripture and the issues with it being an imperfect product of men. That is the only reason it is so big due to the wide umbrella. Anyone who says differently is lying. Hopefully, you will learn and recognize there is no One Unified message of the Bible. As such, it's something to consider but it has no authority.

@@davidcheung7789 Your response and also your statement of belief that Satan is the deceiver and creature of evil shows how far you are from the truth of even the system you purport to believe in. God is the author of all things, God is sovereign, God is not solely in the business of what is considered good by human standards. God doesn't need Satan.
