- Welcome back to my channel, this time on Smarden! Today I am driving an Alpha version of the Volvo Olympian Northern Counties Palatine body (no download links available) by V3D. For a very early version I do think this is a great bus and look forward to seeing the finished product whenever that is. Up next though, V3D will be releasing the Optare Solo (Digibus Mirage) via Steam.
I'm driving the 349 route on Smarden, from Wantsum to Rye. We are driving the shortest variation of the service, which excludes the Shopping centre, school & Lockerley. We pass through the railway station, Smarden itself, Monkton, Sturry & Sedlescombe along the service. It's a lovely drive, and I've done it so many times that I've memorized it! (Yet, I still take a wrong turn in the video). Across the video, I also find that cars are in my way and I have to reverse. Quite the challenge, this route!

The bus has NO AVAILABLE LINKS. The early access alpha version was available to all, but due to a certain few being ungrateful for an early access alpha version, complaining as if it was the final release, it has been taken down.

I didn't realise how fast my driving was until watching back! Crikey, well at least I got to Rye safely.

Wow, how did you manage to drive that fast without crashing?!! It's pretty impressive. How many hours OMSI 2 XP do you have? I have about 350 hours 😀😀

I really like this bus. It brings back so many nice memories of the Dublin Bus olympians.
Lots of sounds are definitely from the B7TL ALX400 from V3D, even from turning it on i knew straight away.
Yep, everything other than the engine (and a few minor bits and bobs) are from the B7TL. Partially because those parts sound the same on both the B7TL and Olympian, and partially because the sound simply hasn't been recorded so one from elsewhere has to be used.
Shame it’s been treated by some as if it’s finished and have been ungrateful and for me, extremely unnecessarily picky. It looks excellent already and no doubt V3D will have put a lot of time and effort into it like always. I never got the chance to download it as I was busy, but I look forward to seeing the final thing when it comes out.
V3D buses are like the best
I have driven that E200 MMC and while sometimes it is a bit sluggish to brake apart from that its a good bus. Does anyone know where I can get the new notes for the ticket machine?
Nice bus mod. Shame this was taken down as it looks nice. I am looking to the final version. Meanwhile I will use the ALX400 Trident for a bit longer as I like that bus from V3D, Sounds on this are better than the Spectra though in my opinion.

What steering set up do you have? Maybe you can tell me how you made it look so smooth when you're handling those tight turns. :D
I think its mouse steering. And yes, it's look incredibly smooth.
I use the Logitech Driving Force GT - up to 900 degree radius which I believe is half of that of a bus in real life. You can easily perfect tight turns!

oh right! i have installed that but missing one sound at lower speed
