LOVED this video. I lived in Oakland for 20 years before moving to Europe and the vegan scene has evolved into something special the last 5 years. Timeless and Millennium are two of my favorites. Also, next time consider trying Wildseed in San Francisco. Also amazing like Millennium. Thanks for bringing us along!
San Francisco: Mensho (always a long line but their vegan ramen is worth it), Judahlicious, Shizen Sushi Bar, Chef Reina (Filipino food, located in Brisbane), Sun Rise Restaurant (pupusas!) Oakland: vegan mob Berkeley: Flacos (their taquitos are chefs kiss) San Mateo: wursthall (vegan options available) South Bay: Merit Vegan Restaurant!
I currently live in Oakland (past 4 years). I haven’t been to Roasted and Raw yet, thank you both!! It’s just what I needed. Millennium is my ride or die. They used to be in San Francisco and happen to be one of Dave Havok of the band AFI’s favorite places. Plus, they have a Michelin Gourmand award for quality food in a specific price range. I also recommend: Mob Vegan Grandeur Malibu Burgers Hoza Pizzeria Veggie Grill (Walnut Creek or Berkeley)
Made me homesick! The museum is awesome. Strongly recommend a hike in the hills or even Tilden Park. (The entrance is in Berkeley, but it flows over.) Great late-night Chinese. Great places to see music.
So happy you guys were able to visit some great vegan spots here in the bay. Senor Sisig just opened their Ferry Bldg location...next time you're here I hope you visit. The view is AMAZING!!
Nice vid. If you do come back, SF: Acai R, Om Sabor, Veganburg, Amorino Gelato, Vegan Hood Chefs, Blue Hawaii, Pica Pica Arepa Kitchen, Chef Reina. Oakland: Lion Dance Cafe,
When in the east bay, you have to try the Ethiopian food! Cafe Dareye is my all time favorite but there are tons of great restaurants in Oakland/Berkeley. Millennium is always amazing. Take Vegan Izakaya for vegan sushi. And Malibu Burgers for the best vegan junk food - burgers, fries, and shakes.
This was so fun to watch since I live in the bay and work right across the street from the giants stadium and frequent timeless coffee and senor sisig too often! Great video as usual. ❤ hit all my favorite spots!!
Being from Sacramento I’ve spent a lot of time in the Bay Area. I used to drive all the way to Berkeley/SF just to go to Herbivore, which shut down a few years ago.
Love your videos. I live in the Bay Area you hit my favorite places to go. During Covid we would order take out from Millennium. Timeless is a favorite spot. If you come back Berkeley is great too. My two favorites currently are Cha-Ya and the Butcher’s Son.
You go to so many amazing places, everything looked so good. You should put together a list of all the amazing places you have gone with the names and information of the places to eat when visiting there. That would be very helpful for anyone wanting to plan a trip somewhere they have never been.
Yesss Dimond slice is the best! I drive from sacramento to get it. Have you had cheeseboard? I know that’s the original and I was obsessed with it in college but I think I like dimond better because they let you get slices or half a vegan pizza. And it’s easier to get a table
I love Timeless! One of the things I miss most about the bay. Definitely check out Lion Dance Cafe the next time you’re in Oakland. So so good and they source a lot of their food from the farmer’s market!
Next time you guys should check out vegan mob, dont be chickn, and taqueria la venganza. All are super bomb. N if you go to SF try Gracias Madre and shizen vegan sushi bar.
It was nice to see you visiting San Francisco and Oakland. Shangri-la Vegan, 4001 Linden St, Oakland is another good vegan restaurant in Oakland. They have a sister restaurant in Albany, CA too.
Next time you must sit at the patio at Millennium. You missed going to Golden Lotus, Taqueria Veganos, and Lion Dance Cafe. All three are the greatest of their respective cuisines. Then there's Berkeley which has tane, Flacos, and Butcher's son and Dewey's creamery
We haven't been to the bay area since covid but can't wait for our next trip! (We usually visit annually ) Since my husband has finally joined me with plant based eating since our last trip, I can't wait to try some of the recommended eats and sights!!! Thanks for this!!! So great to learn of these great eats in a place we frequent regularly. At least before covid.
Crying because you were roaming around in Piedmont (where you got your nails done) and didn’t go to Mailbu’s Burgers 😩 I hope you all loved it and come back!
i stayed at the hyatt regency a few months ago and it was awesome! there's a vegan mexican place a few blocks away that you def should check out next time you're there.
Loved this and I was just in San Francisco two weeks ago and went to the this bakery in SF and were were on that same street The Embarcadero. We said next time we were going to the stadium to see a baseball game. I went to Mariposa Baking Company and it was great!
next time you go you GOTTA go to butchers son in Berkeley and get Arizmendi vegan pizza. Another fantastic place with great vegan options is Burma Superstar. Get the vegan tea leaf salad it’s unreal. Also, flacos tacos is an amazing vegan mexican stand ;)
I struggle with geographic tongue and other mouth issues. Since I vegan taking b complex liquid under my tongue for absorption, those issues have decreased a lot!
I love going to Oakland for pizza. While not 100% vegan, there are 3 places with really good vegan pizza. Bare Knuckle Pizza, Zachary's for chicago deep dish style pizza, and Dimond Slice. Or you could also go to Berkeley! So much excellent vegan food there
Oakland was a nice City prior to the 1960s. It was a vibrant factory Town full of Italians, Portuguese, Chinese, & Irish. People came from the South to also partake in the factory jobs & the City was quickly decimated.
I screamed at the berry and louie update, louie is so cute doing his best
I’m a Bay Area native and Oakland has some of the best vegan food. I went to Souley Vegan for my birthday this year and it’s just so amazingly good!
How cool to have a trip sponsored by a cities tourism department! Would love to see more vids like this all over the world!

Omg! You came to my city! I’m so happy that you got to experience senor sisig and Souley Vegan, two of my favorites! 😍
Y’all were right by Malibu’s Burgers in Piedmont and also have to try Lion Dance Cafe. Literally the best food ever! Singaporian-Chinese, BIPOC owned
Nice vid. If you do come back, SF: Acai R, Om Sabor, Veganburg, Amorino Gelato, Vegan Hood Chefs, Blue Hawaii, Pica Pica Arepa Kitchen, Chef Reina.
Oakland: Lion Dance Cafe,

I miss living in Oaktown so much!!
Oakland is a great place for vegan food.

I’d also recommend Understory, Tane sushi (Berkeley), Malibu burgers, vegan mob, the butchers son (Berkeley’s, baia (SF), and don’t be chickn!
Just went to roasted and raw the other day for the first time! So good! You gotta try it. 😀
Its crazy oakland has more vegan options than sf

This was great! I’m in Phoenix and there are hardly any vegan restaurants ☹️
14:11 Souley Vegan looks 🔥 How does it compare to The Dirty Lettuce in PDX? Wifey & I are obsessed with that joint.
Dirty Lettuce is still our favorite! :)
My hometown
You guys are so cute and great. Yummy food #jealous

Lived in North Oakland & it turned into a huge dump back in the 90s. Could not give me an all-paid vacation to go back these days.
Gotta stop by vegan mob next time 😍
Ayyy ur in my hood
I'm flipping out (pun intended) over Señor Sisig
Veganism is rising and thriving while carnism is trying and dying! WE ARE VEGAN! WE ARE STRONG! IF YOU"RE NOT VEGAN WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG!!!
Dont be chicken is a must!!
I’m a giants fan. Boooooo dodgers Lolol

The girl getting kicked out is the only thing interesting going on here. Bye.
why even waste your time commenting, Sharon?

@@Sweetsimplevegan I live in Oakland (only been here about 3 years) and you've shown me some places to try! Thank you!
Sharon rhymes with Karen.
