As ouroboros mentioned, I got smoked pretty hard by Eklasa not long ago. But it was bound to happen, this run is pretty slow now by speedrunning standards!
Wow. Yesterday just got this game and i really thought there were a hundred floors, i dont know i just assumed and i reached that 50th floor on my first run, and i died to the awakened one on its second stage. Beginners luck i guess 😂
Not to take away from your achievement here or anything as it was pretty good! But for the type of thing you were going for you sure got some lucky synergy relics.
thats the only way to get a a great time in a RNG heavy game like this. you basically have to go for the best possible outcome or you wont get an insanely good time anyway.
I feel it's worth remembering that if you do choose to get [lump sum of gold] or [random relic] in exchange for a curse or whatever, it's actually generally worth it, because you only have to put up with that curse until the nearest merchant can expunge the curse card from your deck. This makes lump sums have net profits and random relics have super-cheap prices.
"Can I just quit now? Is that it?" No sir. You have to prove yourself in the ascension. Fast runs on easy mode is a piece of cake. Let's see how you fare in the big boys league.
Would it have been quicker just to skip looking at all cards and collecting gold after getting the bottled flame Whirlwind? Or were you looking for something specific?

I was a beginner to speedrunning. Wasn't experienced with the game. I was streaming... The list goes on. Also, the run was like 3 weeks ago, I just happened to get pretty lucky.

I came here after managing to make a run in 42mins. Now, I want to get faster after seeing what's possible. Whirlwind was awesome.

My best was 27 min with Ceaseless Top from Neow and a condensed deck of Clash+Rage+Flex, beat the Time Eater too.
... And 2 months later the time's been cut down by 60%...

Nice run. You should probably memorize the maps and pre-plan routes, will save loads of your downtime.

They are randomly chosen from a small pool of maps, i.e. the maps are not procedurally generated.

Do you use an AutoSplitter? If so, how'd you set that up ?
No I don't, I just do it manually with a button on the side of my mouse through livesplit! Sorry I can't be of any more help.
