With all the funding and stuff wow, wouldn’t that be great for him and for his fans showing that basketball isn’t just a sport, but a culture, a lifestyle explaining why “Ballislife”.
If Devin doesn't inspire you to work hard I don't know what will. I lost 40 pounds off of basketball alone, and I became a monster soon enough. Sometimes they say hard work beats talent, but I know I can push myself even more. So every day at the Y, I practiced on the things I really couldn't do, and now I'm a 6'4 power forward with handles and a mean post game. Every day I practice dribbling on my way to the gas station. All I do now is practice, play gym ball, street ball, and just play with my team.
thats exactly how i want to be 😂 a person thats 6'4 who can play PF and SG...with handles, good post game, basketball IQ, deadeye shooting, godly defense
The whole Christian segment really put things in perspective for me. It really hit home and changes my approach. The whole "preserving energy" line got to me. It makes perfect sense. Great episode. Keep em coming
Even though my time as a basketball player came to an end some time ago (class 2018) i come back to these videos every once in a while. Very thoughtful, motivating and incredibly edited. Dev was way ahead of his time. Please leave these vids here forever.
Man... I can't tell you how inspirational that was. I just sitting here, at my desk watching, and as I watched this, I felt I was completely cut off from my surrounding. When I see what you do here, I know that when I go to the gym, put that little more effort, I can beat my personal best, and I'm being entirely honest here, there haven't been many videos that can make me feel that. I look at the Wong brothers, at Matty, how the odds are against him, and he pushes on, and how Devin pushes on, and I feel like I waste my time saying, "I can't do it. It's too hard..." But that's done now... Thank you for inspiring me, for showing me that the hard work is worth it!
I've been following since episode one and I really try and take in everything you say I wish I could share my story with you and tell how far your videos have really brought me
Every time i watch an episode of 10 000 hours it changes the way I look of life. How I work out, Focusing on school, never take any days for granted. Thank you devin!
Third time watching this Episode. So many nuggets. The honesty, the transparency, the determination. Shout out to Devin, Chris and all those involved. @shift team hq
The message from 29:30 on was so deep! Love watching this series & anything else Devin's involved with. It's been great seeing him develop. Keep grinding people!
"Before I called myself a trainer...I was a student of the game" Lowkey sound like you ready to start spittin bars , keep the videos comin my G , each one motivates me to go harder
Best episode yet! They get better every time! I liked how this one had motivational quotes, an overview of different training methods, footage of basketball drills, different chapters, an interview with The Professor, a look into your life, and the overall quality of the episode. Let's just say I liked everything about it! Like this if feel the same way.
what happens when you get tired? (you slow down) then when you feel like you are giving your all you can always go a little harder then a little harder then harder and before you know it you are going 120% so next time you get tired just go a little harder and just build your way up.
this is one of the best sport documentaries/ series of this type i have ever seen. i am truly blown away from the hardwork and ambition. hats off to yall
Man, it's amazing to see how far Devin has come not only as a person but as an editor. I'm sure working with others has helped the overall quality of work, but this piece blew me away. Especially when compared to the first video. Definitely high end professional quality. Keep em' coming!
Thanks Mr. Williams for putting the part bout chris in the video. It just helped me understand why I should practice like I play and that every drill that I do will help me in an in game situation. That was very helpful to me and you helped me open my eyes wide open. Thanks a lot man. And love the series and all the videos.
I’ve followed you for a while on TH-cam and IG but I’ve never watched the ten000 hours until recent...I’ve been watching it nonstop I love what I’m seeing But it’s also explaining to my why I’ve had so many limitations (especially after the injury) I appreciate this man...
Man this whole series is just great love watching these 10000 hours videos teaches you a lot about life and stepping stones and tools you need to get to where you want to go
True Inspiration Devin. The great thing is that you are applying all of your hardwork and knowledge to every aspect of your life, including basketball! Thank you for blessin us with these vids. Much love bro.
Thank dev, this video made me think of how hard I'm working. I ain't working to my full potential. Now after watching this imma become a REAL student of the game and achieve my dream
This is motivation for a dream , Im a 3rd yr hs im playing ball great im a PG1 , im preparing myself for college basketball for scholarship . and now im working on my game Thnks Shift Team HQ #10000HOURS
Yo I just want to let you know that I appreciate you being so motivated and driven to become better by studying the game of basketball and practicing. A lot of people just have the knowledge and no skills and others have skills and no knowledge, but you have both. I can say that you motivated and encouraged me to get better at the game and to study it, not to be on a team or to gain money but just for the love of the game. Thank you. -Dominique B.
a few weeks ago i didn't play that good in basketball games with my team because i wouldn't work hard and then i did a sloppy job and all my teammates would get frustrated with me my coach would yell at me and say i need you to work hard for me because i need you in games so i turned it around and worked hard each and every day and i got better and now look at me i won a championship and im one of the star players on my team
Improvement in every episode. This episode in my opinion shows the importance of character, hard work, and family (loved ones). This video was truly inspirational!
aint no episode on teamork? like in my team we good on our own just that we cant connect we never know the pass we always try to dribble shoot but to make like a movement, nah
Jenkins mentor has a book all about that type of training. Google: Marv Marinovich probodx pdf. Marv was the guy Jenkins was talking about who said "I don't lift, it's too slow"
Devin the work you do is simply remarkable. I look forward to all your videos because I can always bank on learning something or find some encouragement.
i can't thank you enough for the inspiration, you are a blessing, you make me train harder at the gym or at the field (i am a soccer player), every since i saw the first video you made i became addicted to follow my dreams, you made me love basketball the way you do, even do i may never play at the league i still work hard no matter the sport, thank you for sharing your knowledge and i wish you success in your life professionally and personally as you work for it and get from it :)
I try to push my friend and tell him we should get better I always wanna be in the gym he tells me "to calm down your only 11" should I really be doing these things like running on a treadmill and pushing my self because I'm "to young?"
you are 11 you dont need to do all this yet you need to go out and play shoot maybe run sometimes but the main thing is be able to shoot freethrows like its nothing
This guy inspires and motivates so much people, he aint even know. I have never played ball on team, and because of my age I never will. But with college life ahead of me, I want to achieve something more than just a diploma. I to will become a student of the game and learn. Never will I shine on the NBA floors, but I will achieve greatness in this game we call basketball.
Love how you get into the mental part of training as well as physical! Thank you for putting this video together. Thank you for this channel. I look forward to learning more from you!
Well here's my story im 12 tryouts were 2 months ago in October I was confident excited but nervous... Hours later I get detention in math for talking i Don't go but go t tryouts so she find me and tryouts and lose 30 min I finally go back to tryouts were doing drill I'm a very very nervous kid I flopped and missed every shot I lost the ball while dribbling I let getting nervous get to me I never wanted to play basketball I quit.... Now I want to get back in and put in work and don't stop till my body quits on me and the professor and 1000 hours give me so much Insperation.
It's surreal these series made my teens. Looking back on it, 2010s power is so strong here. Especially how TH-cam used to be. Videos overall had very different vibe.
Its not a bad idea, I did that as well, It helps you study the game and learn so much more, the more you watch the game, the easier it becomes to really understand what to do and what not to do in certain situations, and it can also help you practice on certain areas. Just make sure when you're done as your manager job for the day, that you keep putting the work in as well. Practice what you learn and always go as hard as you can. How fast someone can really increase skill is insane, but most people don't want to put the work in. Just work hard man. Good luck.
This whole video made me think of basketball and working out a whole lot different. I have to share the video with my friends so we can all grow together. I really appreciate you looking into these things for viewers like myself. Really enjoying all your series and every thing you put into these videos.
Straight up, being black has NOTHING to do with making the NBA or anything, they do have a few adaptations that make them have a bit of an advantage, but I feel like hard work can take you farther, white people think they can't make the NBA, so they don't because of the stereotypical idea that only blacks people make the NBA, set your mind on making the NBA, and hard work and determination will get you there, not your skin color..
Best video you've made to date. You have certainly come a long way in your production as well as your writing. Keep it up fam. You're on to something special here. A1
Devin, thank you for making these videos. Definitely an inspiration to the rest of us out here. Not a basketball player, but interested in implementing these ideas (repetition, studying, hard work, always pushing oneself) in the work world. Congratulations on the success and I look forward to the future for you.

Jenkins mentor has a book all about that type of training. Google: Marv Marinovich probodx pdf.
Marv was the guy Jenkins was talking about who said "I don't lift, it's too slow"
Primetimeballer14 So is this some kind of plyometric training?
His instagram is @thesportsphysicist
Can this guy Cornell Jenkins list some workouts I could do with out weight lifting just body workouts
Thank you for sharing words of wisdom. They inspire me to be better.
29:30 just feel it...
This changed the way I have worked out completely. Now I can say I work hard. Thanks for the lessons of motivation and also for the episodes! :)
How tall is devin williams?
I think either 6’1 or 6’2 maybe 6’3
Devin the work you do is simply remarkable. I look forward to all your videos because I can always bank on learning something or find some encouragement.
Hey Devin, and this is just my advice, I'd suggest you not hoop in futures because you can seriously hurt your ankles
No, he should keep continuing on what he's doing. You don't tell him to stop hoop.
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking.
Zekrom626 futures is a shoe
Zekrom626 Lmao hes talking about the sneakers
Zekrom626 he's talking about a shoe, which are terrible for basketball lmao, definitely better than them vans though
i can't thank you enough for the inspiration, you are a blessing, you make me train harder at the gym or at the field (i am a soccer player), every since i saw the first video you made i became addicted to follow my dreams, you made me love basketball the way you do, even do i may never play at the league i still work hard no matter the sport, thank you for sharing your knowledge and i wish you success in your life professionally and personally as you work for it and get from it :)

I try to push my friend and tell him we should get better I always wanna be in the gym he tells me "to calm down your only 11" should I really be doing these things like running on a treadmill and pushing my self because I'm "to young?"
No not at all... It's better to start young
Thanks for the advice :)
Don't overwork yourself though but definitely get a head start on others
I wish i had started this young, be sure to work hard
you are 11 you dont need to do all this yet you need to go out and play shoot maybe run sometimes but the main thing is be able to shoot freethrows like its nothing
This guy inspires and motivates so much people, he aint even know. I have never played ball on team, and because of my age I never will. Mr.know life how’d it turn out
It's surreal these series made my teens. Looking back on it, 2010s power is so strong here. Especially how TH-cam used to be. Videos overall had very different vibe.
I'm now a sophomore in highschool. I'm going to ask to coach if I can be a manger / ballboy for the basketball team
If you want to play, then don't complain about not being good enough. Strive to be good enough
Just train and make the team boy!
***** thats is some great advice!
***** Study the game watching JV basketball? lol
Beginning of this was some of the best knowledge and intake you could ever hear from a young coach.
Damn the subliminals when he said "maybe get married " and then showed a white girl, and then showed a light skin kid 😨🤔
This whole video made me think of basketball and working out a whole lot different. I have to share the video with my friends so we can all grow together.
