    I had some horse bardings that were fairly expensive but didn't check the clips on both sides -_- I immediately emailed the customer and explained that I could either send them as they were if they still wanted them or I would simply refund the whole order. I gave the full refund but will probably relist them with comments about the clips.

    You should NEVER be giving refunds without proof. 80% of the time when an item is "missing" it is really just someone who is trying to get free stuff. I let people know that even if they are in the 20% of people who legitimately have an item missing it all balances out in the end because that missing part probably ended up as an extra part in someone else's order. I NEVER get messages telling me that I sent a customer too many parts and that they would like to give me a partial refund.

      It is possible, I would just rather spend the $1.50 or whatever to refund and and leave a good experience for the buyer to come back again. I just do not think Bricklink buyers are looking for "free" 1x2 black bricks etc...
