    Once again, a washing machine doing exactly what it's supposed to, no error codes or anything. Just pure sweetness.

      Kenmore Washer I’ve got a used Whirlpool Ultimate Care II and had to repair it by myself cause it did not spin and when it tried, didn’t speed up, I thought it was the clutch, but the problem was the basket drive and now spin freaking fast.

      Unless you have the softener dispenser you have to come back on the final rinse and add it if you do 2 rinses

      One word...GREED. To produce this today they would have to charge 3 to 4 times as much and no one wants to pay that much for a washer. I would if the quality matches the higher prices....just doesn't seem to be that way in most cases today.

      You don't have to worry about that they will never build washers again to last there is too much money in making parts that are built to break

      Sometimes you simply can't improve on what came before.
      To think Blackstone..an American company that made washers released the first top load automatic agitator washer in 1941 i believe it was but had to stop because of WWII.
      After the war was when the automatic washer really took off and many manufacturers were releasing their first automatics in 1947.
      To think the first Kenmore automatic released in 1947 was a Whirlpool made machine as they all would be up until very recently, though WP still makes some of their top loaders.

      my pre 1993 is washing blankets right now , never an issue til last month when I had to replace rubber fill tube , happy as ......

  • @patcola7335
    @patcola7335 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    As much as I like the belt drives I think overall these direct drives had more efficient turnover.
    The rollover is pretty much controlled and consistent. No water sloshing around in the tub like the older belt drives.
    The rollover reminds me of the old GM Frigidaire washers with the up and down agitators. Steady and consistent I guess.

    Nice machine! Water level needs to be adjusted a bit higher

    • @patcola7335
      @patcola7335 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why do you think ? Looks like ample water for the load size.

    • @wns808
      @wns808 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pat cola might help improve turnover with a higher adjusted water level. Decent amount of water at the current level, yes, but the max level could’ve been adjusted higher to a little above the top row of holes

    • @patcola7335
      @patcola7335 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wns808 Agree. I adjusted my Speed Queen's water level when I got it on 2013. The high water level came to about 2 rows down from the top. I opened up the control panel and adjusted the level until I got it at just over the top row of holes.
      That's how they used to be set before uninvited government meddling got in the way.

    What does the white thing in the washing machine does anyway and those blankets must have been that dirty

    • @lexmarks567
      @lexmarks567  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What white thing? The thing in the middle is the agitator which washes the clothes. The thing in the lower right corner is for bleach.

      These washers excelled in their cleaning capability. Consumer reports used to rank these Kenmore washers higher than Maytag and Speed Queen washers overall.

    The agitation is too fast not good for clothes

    • @BroccoliBeefed
      @BroccoliBeefed 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I didn't. I just thought they were hella noisy and too harsh on clothes because of the 90 degree arc instead if a longer stroke and the agitation was too fast

    • @MC-mh2ju
      @MC-mh2ju 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The speed of agitation can be changed, from delicate to Heavy duty.

    • @BroccoliBeefed
      @BroccoliBeefed 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      M C . Yes but then the paltry 90 degree arc wasn't sufficient

    • @jonathanashbeck3740
      @jonathanashbeck3740 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have to load the clothes properly and you have to select the right load size and the right cycle. Do that you shouldn't have much issues if it all

    • @michaelcrighton3280
      @michaelcrighton3280 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Gee I have a 5 position switch that lets me change wash and rinse speeds and spin speeds so delicate clothes are handled safely even if your machine doesnt have the speed switch it prob has a delicate cycle built in the timer dial !!!!!! and I say IF you DON't have one of these washers don't critizie the machine owners who do. I also have a fancy samsung front load with the door in a door and its a piece of S___T.
