As someone who collects 2D SNK fighters, this is on the PS1, and for some reason I want it, and KoF Maximum Impact Regulation A on the PS2. Not sure why, maybe it's for more SNK goodness.
I own it on the PS1. I bought my copy in 04 at this game store called Game Crazy. I really like it on PS1. You should give it a shot. Back then I paid $31.00. Not sure what the going price for a mint copy is now.
@@SharonisCarin321 Yes! They also held tournaments there . I entered their SF and Gears of War tournaments. It was a great time. To bad they closed down.
In many ways I must agree si nce the SNK devs made way more of an effort to make use 3D (side step , unique back throws, running) , graphically great too, like the surprising good facial expressions. However ex1+a and ex2+ were some of the best sf games imo, so i would say ffwa is equal to them. We could call this the most underrated fatal fury (has the most underrated Ryo design too imo).
You can play as Geese on the arcade version by moving right on Andy. Also evidently you can play as Li Xiangfei by beating the game with all characters and pressing A+B+D+Start on the main menu. Not sure how true that one is because I can hardly beat the game.
Looking at this, and besides the fact that it was released on the Hyper Neo Geo 64 board, it should have had a release on the N64 instead of the pitiful PS1 port. The graphics are a better fit for that platform, the interlaced output included, and the N64 was dying for good fighters. I imagine the failure of the N64 in Japan caused the decision more than anything.
@@nesmario123 I wish it had good emulation. A lot of people would love to play these Hyper Neo Geo games. Sadly, they are not readily available. SNK needs to do a Hyper Neo Geo compilation disk.
I feel like if Nintendo teamed up with SNK to port their Hyper NeoGeo 64 game to the Nintendo 64 it would've been a good time. Ive always hated that thr N64 lacked in the fighting game genre.

I swear Joe Higashi must share the same voice actor with whoever voiced adult link in Ocarina of Time they sound exactly the same.
Same voice actor

the match with Tsugumi is so close. Rematch pls ;)
You should do Terry or Andy playthrough video in next upload
I have a request for Mai but I can then do a Terry playthrough. Thanks!
Another excellent video bro, can you do a Geese Howard playthrough in the future ?
I dont think Geese is playable in this version.
@@snkfightfan0187 Ah, I must have it mixed up with the PSOne version.

this looks a lot better than ps1
Trust me, the NG64 version looks way better. Both games are good and the PS1 version is worth having.

what emulator do you use?
This is not emulation. This is real arcade hardware being played via a supergun.

480i?
I believe it is. Then I am upscaling to 1080p through an XRGB mini.

Nintendo always wanted cheesy, cartoonish games for their consoles.
I dunno what they were thinking with this system it's like ps1 quality graphics
This would be better off on Nintendo 64.
use bilinear filter for smoothing the pixels, and sawtooth is bad image,,
This game debut in 1998. Do not judge this because back then that is all they had to work with.
