I had the privilege to go to Saint Anne's as a pilgrim four times. Saint Anne Catholic Church is located on Mackinac Island in the Straits of Mackinac, where the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan meet. The church has a long and rich history that began over 350 years ago when the first Jesuit mission was established on the island. The residents, seasonal workers, and all visitors to Mackinac Island are warmly welcomed. By worshipping at Saint Anne’s, they join a Roman Catholic tradition dating back 2,000 years and a 350-year-old faithful island community. This historic church stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Catholic missionary apostolate on Mackinac Island.
