When we got independence from British only 12% of our population was educated. That is how they left us, poor and uneducated. Destroyed our ancient educational system. How can one say British gave us education? They opened schools to educate people here as they needed local labour. They can't import and employ British people for everything. Hospitals also for that sake, if people keep dying whom will they rule? They needed their servants and slaves to be healthy to help them. We had 37 famines in India, which we never had before even in Moghul rule. Please read Indian independence history. British looted today's value of 45 Trillian dollars value of our wealth. Our Sangam poets were also women. Nayanmars and Alwars were mostly non-Brahmins. Kambar was not a Brahmin. In ancient India before British Rule, education was available to all even girls. Valmiki was not a Brahmin, Veda vyasar's mother was a Fisherwoman. Avvaiyar was not a Brahmin etc etc. Please read The Beautiful Tree by Author Dharampal and many such books. British occupiers to get our country's wealth not to feed us and give us education. We were far ahead of them, rich and Prosperous, each had a family occupation and self-employment was highest! Varna system is not based on Birth, based on Profession, anybody can be a Brahmin, Vysya or Shudhra, is what Vedha says. There can be bad people in any caste. Untouchability is a social problem existing even western countries, where Black's are discriminated. Mainly It is about power and money. British wanted to divide and rule us, so made such interpretations, also useful for conversions. Now also politicians do the same. British people are not Brahmins, but they illtreated us, called us dogs, said that we are inferior. Did we say anything about their religion, blaming their religion? Why attack Hinduism?
