Watching back the first episode, pretty much every line of dialogue of every character has a double meaning, connecting to what's really happening outside of Agatha's imagination. It's so well written.
Yeah, you can practically see what's happening in reality. Like she comes up to "Herb" and hands him a coffee, he greets her with "Hey Neighbor", takes the coffee, looks at it weird and doesn't drink. I think he was standing at his hedge when she came out and handed him something that definitely wasn't coffee, then took a bunch of pictures and went and rummaged in a corner of his garden where he came up behind her and asked if she was doing ok since she wasn't acting like herself (the detective bit was only a few days old, before that she was just somewhat normal Agnes). Then, the chief of police tells her to go home, then turns off the desk lamp which I'm pretty sure was him coming out of his front door to find her on the stoop so he told her to go home, then switched off the porch light.
Yep pretty clever. The photos taken on the crime scene were just flowers and lawn yard in reality. And, her car was actually just a table, some toy steering weel, and a couple of used box.
@@roguenerdd It was "originally" called House of Harkness, then Coven of Chaos, then Darkhold Diaries. But that was a marketing campaign. It was always Agatha All Along.
I've been playing the Marvel's Midnight Suns game of late and Agatha is a character in that. It's a much less malevolent version of Agatha, to be sure, but she's still a badass and is in a lesbian relationship. And, just like in this show, it's portrayed such that it would be hard to imagine it any other way, just perfectly natural and ordinary and in keeping with the character.
Why wouldn't everyone think Agatha would return? She's a marvel character that touches the FF and the X-Men, Hahn got nominated for an Emmy for the role and her song was one of the most viral moments of the MCU. Wanda literally says "I know where to find you if I need you" at the end of WandaVision. Bringing her back was a no-brainer.
Because Marvel has a problem with villains. The majority of them are wasted and underutilized, being killed in the movie/show they're introduced on.
