30 months on a 26 feet sailing boat - Wharram Tiki 26 - PART TWO - West Africa

I am super happy to finally talk about my journey on «Wayan», a Tiki26 sailing catamaran. This Video is a recording of a slightly adapted powerpoint I presented in several sailing clubs in Luzern, Switzerland.
In this second part I am taking you to Atlantic islands, the Canaries and the Cabo Verdes. From there we sail to the mainland of westafrica, from Dakar in Senegal to the Sinne Saloum, the Casamance, into the Gambia in the Gambia and to end this second part, to Guinea Bissau and the incredible Bijagos Archipelago.

Oh yes! An absolute classic. Proper adventure superbly narrated. Brother casually jumps on his bike in Switzerland and crosses the Sahara to say hello.........gives an idea of the family ethos. As ever, a small, simple boat with a confident but not arrogant crew can have a fine time in tricky spots where glossy yachts and all they represent would struggle. And now a Part Three has appeared. What a treat. Thanks again.

How beautifull to see the Wharrams fit in the images of local cultures. That’s why I loved them initially even before I understood why they are so good in seaworthy and in technical simplicity.
