My parents would let me rent ANY horror flick I wanted, they even told the people at the video store that I had their permission to pick out any horror flick.. Probably one of the only things my parents and I have ever agreed on. The VHS release of this that I watched back then was titled, Gates of Hell, and I remembered it had like 30 minutes of good quality shitty horror movie trailers at the beginning of tape.. there was one after another after another.. I started thinking I'd accidentally rented some kind of Terror On Tape or Terror In Aisle kind of thing.
I always had the impression that this happens to every little girl... But sure, still, it doesn´t explain any of the plot, it´s only important for sympathizing more with the character... But it works, for sure... The movie wants to tell us, she was the romantic type, the type that wants to marry her father, at the young age of 8, which is veeeeery sweet. Of course, none can expect Americans to grasp that, so, sure, go on...
Also, review Event Horizon, if you haven't yet, and Clive Barker's dark fantasy horror film Night Breed. Both of these films are in my DVD Blu Ray collection.😉😉

My first gore flick, the actress puking her guts was used by Lucio in New York ripper, she joked he liked killing her. In the nun, I really think they borrowed the coffin rescue scene from here. The blonde actress was famous for the video nasty emerald jungle. And Christopher george was star in my old series fave, the rat patrol. Tyvm for this one.
I Think there was supposed to be 7 movies in all. But I'm not completely sure. They are supposed to be connected by the theme of each movie opening 1 of the gates of Hell. (7 doors of Death) The priest killing himself opens one in this movie there is one gateway in the basement of the hotel in the Beyond. Not so sure about the House by the Cemetery. But I think that the Evil Doctor in there is stealing body parts to prolong his life so he can find the way to open up the 3rd door which is in the basement of his house (By the Cemetery) but I don't think that part was ever really explained. As I said I think Fulci had planned 7 movies but I haven't found any definitive evidence of that.
