- This is the install video of how to install the high pressure fuel pump for Hyundai N models 2.0. This is not as expensive as some other ones on the market Making it the best Bang for you buck
Great vid! Just ordered one, thanks for the install walk-through and going over the part number!
I appreciate you including the part numbers! The pump seems to be sold out on sxth website and I couldn't find the part number anywhere else Super Clutch
Same im glad i have it
Thanks bro you saved me some money 👍💯
I’m getting long rough starts on cold start this is the issue right? I tried new battery, plugs and just ordered this for 2020 VN
Great video, but head’s up, the bolts holding the fuel pump down are 10lb ft, not 24lb ft. I broke one off trying to get there, I should have double checked.
10mm bolts should be torqued to inch-pounds, not foot -pounds. It is impossible to get an accurate read at 10ft/lb.
How will I know what 10lb ft is?

I'm doing the same install and read your comment a while back. Thought your comment was just another Internet commenter, ones I'm told not to believe everything said on the Internet, and disregarded the advice. I should've listened. Twisted both bolts clean off. I've been humbled this day and am truly sorry that I didn't heed either comments of advice. 🙇🏼

Damn that's easier than i thought it would be. I'll probably wait until after that recall though lol
Hey man, I think you are also supposed to replace the high pressure fuel line whenever you disconnect it from the hpfp
I thought too but i called a few of the pros they said not reason to the newer elantras can be reused
You replace it only if it gets bent
great descriptive video man, doing this soon to mine as well
Thanks, doesn’t look too difficult
Where you get the upgraded HPFP from?
You can purchase from n75 or sxth or just google part number theres a few places
The place i got from is out of stock
What was the final cost shipped?
@@BecauseHYDE16 $230
I know you said it’s out of stock but can you share the link?
How you liking the forge intake just ordered their intake bov and turbo inlet for my Elantra N
Love it sounds amazing and feel it in the but dyno
Why did you upgrade the pump? What other big mods do you have where you needed this?
Do You also have a bigger turbo, injectors and high boost where you would need this pump upgrade? Cause I've seen guys with tunes and supporting mods and not have to upgrade this pump.
Or was this some recall item and factory replacement or something?
Going stage 2 ecu
@@ndriverkg104 What one? LAP3 hopefully? Or I assume it's a LAP3 if you did the pump cause their tunes are real tunes and serious tunes.
But even LAP3 I didn't think needed a pump upgrade.
@@Boosted00 you dont absolutely need the pump upgrade, but its smart to do. The stock bump has been shown to have dips in fuel delivery that theyve seen on the dyno with tunes. Its more of an insurance policy so you dont have any lean states
@@Roondog1 Thanks for the reply, this was the answer I was looking for. 👍
@@Boosted00 I'm getting tune from n75 and they made this tune around upgraded hpfp so it's much safer and better
Aye man, is the Delphi HPFP for a 2016 hyundai veloster from autozone any good ? Not looking really for more power mine just went bad and going to be replacing ? An do you need to replace the fuel line ?
@Cloudy222 im not sure about but it should work they usually have good warrantys on some parts and i haven't personally changed the fuel line
@ndriverkg104 if the HPFP is bad does that necessarily mean the fuel pump in the tank is bad ? Thanks for the info man
Where can I get this at auto and will it work on a 2013 Veloster turbo
I got one on Amazon the other day.
Hey so my tunner just told me your supposed to put the cam in the low position when installing the upgrade. You can damage the pump if you don't.
Cam?
@@ndriverkg104 there is a cam under the hpfp. It's in the service manual. Easy to look up
Use a magnet to remove the tappet out of the hole then you can see the cam underneath. Put a socket on the cam bolt and turn clockwise till the cam is in a flat position
@@bradley8753 I can confirm that what you are saying is true. Although in the manual it states that if the cam is in the high position upon installation, there is a chance the mounting hardware may be damaged. So if he had no problems prior to installation, he should be okay. Its more precautionary
@@bradley8753it’s impossible to reach the cam bolt
Does anyone know the difference between the 250 Genuine parts and the other parts that only 120 to 150 unmarked but have the same part number? Im only going for a stage one tune first then a stage 2 on a spare ecu once I get upgrades necessary.
Hello buddy did you buy this hpfp from N75?
I just did mine and car starts up fine but when you hit the gas it stumbles like it's not getting fuel sent to the injectors - Any ideas?
Possibly throttle body its a known issue with it
Do you think this would work with Gen 1 Velo Turbo?? From what i see, the oem one looks practically identical
I think so i would check the hyundai forum
😮 such a nice car but to each his own
Did you turn the crankshaft for the HPFP to fit right ?
Noo
Do you feel like the upgrade is necessary if only running a jb4 map 2?
No i only put it on because i knew i was going stage 2 ecu tune
@NDriverKG104 So do I need to do a hpfp with a N75 stage 1 tune or am I good with stock pump?
@NDriverKG Do I need to do HPFP if I do a stage 1 tune from N75?
Great vid. Thnkx
Where did you get your HPFP from?
Hey is it exact same process for veloster N or do I have to buy additional fuel line
I know this is old, but I emailed n75 support with this same question recently for the HPFP upgrade they sell for a Veloster N.
According to the support team no additional fuel lines, or tunes are necessary.
Will be installing it tomorrow, and come back update this comment afterwards in case anyone else is interested in this for the future.
Update; install was pretty straightforward, and no additional parts are necessary. Also for taking off the front most hose you don’t want to force it off; fully remove the plastic cover on it, then you can push the metal it forward into the plastic to release the locking mechanism, and pull the hose off by hand while the mechanism is in unlocked position… doesn’t need a trim removal piece and trying to force it off could potentially damage the locking mechanism of the hose.
Did you watch the video where you remove the filter screen out of your stock or HP. pump.
Noo i didnt even know about it
@@ndriverkg104 Ya there is a video if you can find it. I watched it and didn't save it but all you do is take the low pressure side hose off the fuel pump and screw in a number 8 screw not to tight and grab it with your pliers and tap it out with the hammer. Guy is saying 40 hp increase and i believe it when you see the restriction.
@@crushthis123 ill check it out
Here’s the video that shows the filter restriction: th-cam.com/video/uzq0aPdZHxQ/w-d-xo.html
@@crushthis123 40 hp just from pulling a screen out? I highly highly doubt anywhere nesr that much of an increase
but that upgrade is only worth if you are gonna tune the car .? or for regular everyday driving ?
Its recommended and helps car run better and i personally think its a must for when getting tuned
What kinda wrap is that mah boi??💀
