Using the weight scale and magnet, you have better odds of getting the real deal when buying silver. If I known these techniques, I would have been more confident from the start of Silver Stacking.
Using a smaller magnet would show it better. They slide like they are in syrup when on 999 silver. Yes silver plated copper acts very similar to silver but does slide off a little faster than pure silver.
The magnet is doing the same as when you drop it through a copper pipe. Between the magnet and precious metal it creates a small electromagnetic field. Causing the magnet to slowly move down the bar that's normal for none magnetic metal like copper and silver.
another way to find silver bar or coins is to place a Kleenex tissue over the coin, if the coin is silver it will shine through the Kleenex tissue also the coin must be clean. A non silver coin will not shine through. This applies to anything thats Silver. Try this test.
10 down votes on this video must be from fake silver sellers...
believe a copper core will do the same thing for the magnet test
Those Counterfeit bars are back on Ebay again. I almost got burned!

Seems to me most bars on eBay are fake now

I have fake bars that I bought directly from Northwest Territorial Mint. Of course they aren't in business anymore, sound fishy?
Just looked it up and the owners were sentenced to prison for fraud
Yes it helps thank you!
Thank you
Could also mention ping test for sound a bar makes....
John Gilles Yeah, I feel have to develop that skill. It doesn’t become distinctive until you’ve heard it a few times. It’s a go to for me though!
Seen real bars weigh 31.1 - 31.9 grams and rarely see them over 31.5 grams.
You DO KNOW 31.9 is > 31.5, right? Your two statements seem conflicting. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
One troy ounce (1 ozt) is exactly 31.1034768 grams. 31.5 g is about 1.275% over.
Kookamonga?
Buy from a reputable dealer, not eBay. Choose sovereign currency and not rounds or Mint bars.
Thanks for sharing.
