Johnson Pass Trail JONESING! ALASKA backcountry biking on a GRAND SCALE | 3 week window per year

In Season 1 Episode 7 of the Experience Alaska series I head to Johnson Pass Trail. Johnson Pass Trail in Alaska has a 3 week window per year to mountain bike the 20.4 mile long trail through the entirety of Johnson Pass. Too early and there's too much mud and snow; too late and the trail is already overgrown. We take a Saturday and ride to Johnson Lake at the summit and back to the north lot.

LOVING your video but at the 11:55 mark that is Bench Lake. Johnson Lake is another mile or so, over the high point of the pass.

let me know next time you are up there on that trail - I would love to get a hike in and do some fishing - there are Grayling in Bench Lake and a TON of Rainbow Trout in Johnson Lake @@LWRoad
