Great video i was able to get led to light up and dim. I tried to add another input and output to the sketch but had trouble maybe you will make another video in the future teaching how to do this.

The Arduino Input from the S-Bus would be interresting. With one wire we could read up to 16 Channels.
Does this work underwater?
You would need to waterproof it in some way.

Doing the same with an FTDI. So far no luck. Im not getting a bind light on my receiver. tried every pin combination. so far no luck.
