That looks so pretty, and so much simpler than I first thought it would be! I would wear this one in winter as I don’t like a lot of stuff around my neck!
I had made many drop stitch scarves in the best Every went wrong Glad I saw this video and had a refresher course I had not used waste yarn Solved the problem Thank you
Very pretty! It was so satisfying watching you pull out the dropped rown...on purpose! Wasn't as much fun when I had dropped stitches by accident. 😂Love the tassels on the end too 😍 Just ordered me a row counter like that one. I haven't used my Addi that much, but I noticed on the last hat it skipped a LOT of rows!
Love this pattern and your tutorial Yes I made one but unfortunately I made it with a fluffy yarn and it was a nightmare to rip the stitches down Warning to others!!!
I got so excited to make this beautiful scarf that I forgot the beginning waste yarn! How difficult would it be to just continue? (I have already finished the required number of knitted rows.)
I’m thinking you need to pick up every second loop with a needle and yarn strand and once you have done that you will remove the very top line that goes through that row of stitches. Then every second will drop. Just like when you remove the top strand from the waste yarn. I hope that works. I can’t figure it in my head without looking at a project!! I’m 6 hours away from my craft room. Haha
Hi Shelley, newbie at my addi machine. I Want to make newborn baby cocoon with matching hat using Bernat Softee chunky … do you think it will work ? I have both Addi King and the smaller one. ANY suggestions would be appreciated .
For some reason your comment wasn’t showing on my TH-cam page. I just saw this in my TH-cam studio. Sorry. I have not used Bernat Softee chunky yarn in my machine but I would guess it’s way too thick. You will break your needles. The cocoons are also double layer so it would be too warm for the baby.
@@susanjames1361 you would not do a jogless join or it won’t drop past it. Just join as usual and make a very tight knit so you can cut the tails really short. There is no place to weave them in.

Such a clever idea. I made a drop stitch scarf from one of your videos a while ago but another one would look even better with tassels. Thank you.

I love this scarf! I'd like to make a matching scrunched or head band to make a set to sell at my summer yard sales. Any ideas how to make these?
I have headbands on my channel. Not drop stitch. That’s not possible for a headband but there are several styles
you might like. Check the playlist. 🥰

Can the drop stitch technique be done on panel as well?
@@faithlalaian9771 it sure can. Check out my clothing playlist for a bathing suit cover up.

How easy is it to add another ball of yarn? Will it affect dropping the stitches?
