Watching your mast step come together was a superb tutorial for viewers, and your drawings were outstanding too, meticulously precise and visually appealing. Not only are you doing a great job on your build, you're doing a great job of producing a video series of each step along the way! I can't remember enjoying a compact, capable cruiser build as much as I am with yours.
I love Jerome's design and work; on top of that, he seems to be a truly genuine and kind person. I have the exact same plans, as well as the Carabela 650. My girlfriend and I started building the 650 in 2019; we had to construct a shed from scratch (we actually milled most of our own wood for that from trees felled on her parents' property) and then started constructing the jig and hull pieces. When the price of wood skyrocketed, we had to cancel that project last year. We were able to find a 1978 30' Ranger for next to nothing because the hull was sound, but everything else needs a ton of work. If things work out in the next couple months, I may start on the Tenten 425, with the twin keel modification. We have over 1 year experience building from Jerome's plans and doing "as-built" changes, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. You're doing an awesome job, and we love watching your videos.
Interesting! Thanks for writing. Yes Jerome has been very kind. Building from scratch is so much work and cost, you are probably smart to just improve upon that cheap boat you got. I am having fun though... You just have to be ok with a lot of money going out the door.
Wow, and I thought my Albin Vega 27' was small... But I'm going for a 30 year trip around the world, and have to live onboard so I need space! I'm subscribing to this!
I'm thinking of embarking on a building a foam nested dinghy, similar to yours. I love your videos and ideas. Question- As a southern Californian, who is your local plastic shop? Did you get al of your foams (PVC, HDPE, G10) there? Thanks!

Thanks for the sub! Albin Vega 27 is a great boat that will keep you safe, as Matt Rutherford proved.
Oh man I love your project
Bon courage et bravo pour le challenge 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I never used paint thinner but have use rubbing alcohol and a rubber glove

Hi. Good luck with the build! The local shop was quite overpriced. I search for lowest price online and have materials shipped for the most part.
How much time d oyou spend on building your boat in a week?
Tough to say, sometimes 12 hours in a week, sometimes nothing. Some weeks I just research methods and do drawings.
@@ocean_capable_small_sailboat huh, understood, thank you
hi, what country are you from?
USA
If you can do it so can I please send me the plans of your boat you are building
How do you solve the wife problems?
That's one of life's mysteries. I have a great, understanding wife though.
@@ocean_capable_small_sailboat about the only thing I'm not allowed to do is leave for a month
