From my experience on higher stakes it's the right play. Do you actually routinely play the first small blind to make like two or three bucks? Maybe I'm just too impatient, idk.
You don’t play just for the money you play to see more shops which gives you more chances to influence the run and not just flame out immediately.

@@sargin1the issue is that Throwback wasn't good enough to sell Ancient for, but then Abstract was...and then he sold TtM and kept Abstract right after anyway. There is no use trying to rationalize egg's behavior, it only leads to the call of the Type A void

@@dudekazoo Malf is actually the odd one out. Idol, rebate, and even castle pick a card from your deck, making them super strong late game. Not sure about todo list, that one might choose hands you can't physically play.

Multiple times, he skipped 60 mult from lusty joker to keep 27 mult from abstract. The lusty mult also scales better with bloodstone.
He could have bought DNA and glassed his red seals, taking this to true e to the power of moon potential.

Definitely would've helped his score, but not the most impactful joker. The base from flush five was already pretty high so adding to base before bloodstone triggers isn't as impactful as you think

@@JonathanYoungZ_Kaiser its +4 on each card that can potentially be doubled from blood stone at each proc, just the +4 from first card on 5 blood stone procs for example is an extra 128 from just the one card, keeping in mind the second one is another 4 mult that gets hit with 4 blood stone procs in this scenario... etc

It's +mult, so it needs to stay behind his x mult cards.

@@ethandavis7310 it’s about training your brain to the right actions to get the highest score possible for that turn. Because in the future it may matter. No one is going for bare minimum with their hands.
I am becoming a Type A viewer
- Never taking Lusty Joker, which would pair excellent with Bloodstone and give him so many more points
- Refusing to keep Bull, which would give him 200 chips through a solid portion of this run
- Keeping Abstract Joker instead of anything that mults mult, like Blind Joker
next rounding with a standard pack in the shop, $13 in his pocket, and his hologram at 1.0x in the first game

The Whole run was “Good night Malf I’ll probably kill you in the morning” he didn’t know that if your deck is full hearts it always rolls heart
Edit: I extrapolated from the behavior of the other jokers that pick a specific card (The Idol) and specific rank (Mail-in Rebate) also specific suit (The Castle) that will only pick from the cards in your deck. Ancient Joker however does not do this for some reason.

Nah malf doesn’t give a shit about your deck, each suit has the same probability of rolling. Idol on the other hand only picks from your deck, meaning if he had gotten, like 60% of the time it would be a 5 of Hearts and he would be chilling on a couple trillions

I wish I had more faith in campfire but I spend to $0 in every shop already except about ante 7 or 8, and I don't trust myself to have the econ to reroll shops enough to buy/sell tarot cards. But every great campfire I've ever run was bombastic when paired with vagabond

This is the one that made me look at the comments, there were lots of small mistakes throughout, but that one hurts me on a spiritual level, especially with Bloodstone, and with abstract just chilling there rent free. It might be because he sees it as a "Temporary Joker" but when you're winning in 1 hand and at Ante 10, that's gonna stay until you die.

Ancient joker is good cus it picks the suit from a random card in ur deck. So like if u have 9 heart cards and 1 club, its a 9/10 chance to be hearts which is why it kept hitting hearts
You might be thinking of Idol, according to the wiki, Ancient can pick a suit even if you don’t have it in your deck
