Been a while since a track opening sent tingles down my spine, Dreams of my Former Throne feels like a perfect fit for a dark fantasy type, Heretic or Hexen world.
its easyly missed but the discrip has an entire back story for the album. The guy on the cover is Vikoria a vikeing lord betrayed by his most trusted guard and sent to the underworld. But returned to the land as a wraith of vengeance seeking out and ending the lives of those who cheat the laws of death.
These cryo releases are pure 5th rate garbage compared to actual dungeon synth srtists.this is just regular dwrk ambient repackaged lmfao you might as well call it nu dungeon synth becsuse thats how fake it is nis
@@ToxicFunds i do NOT generwlly give out band names to anyone except extremely close acquaintances as people should already know these things, and I'm not going to but ill point you to one of a thousand labels for ds- out of season. I do not believe every release they put out is good because that's not how any label works, but they have some rather good artists and more importantly they have acknowledged the simple fact that,uh oh,giving an artist away here, Jim Kirkwood is basically the absolute creator of dungeon synth even though fantasy synth elements have been around since the 60's. He was the one to tolkenize it and put a name and feeling to DS. As I said I broke my cardinal rule but anyone with a clue knows that label and that artist. I suggest the dungeon noise cavern channel if you want true underground ds btw. Or wotanic pride if you're not a beta alt leftist
@@HAHb-zc2dp thank you for the introduction. Kirkwood is fantastic and I can understand why you compare CC to him as 5th rate garbage. I will submit that I believe CC has a certain funky darkness that really makes you feel like you're wandering through the catacombs in a visceral way
