- "There Is A Place Called Eternity" is the opening of Corrector Yui's first season. It is sung by Kyoko and I like it because Kyoko does not have the typical japanese girl voice pitch (like Ayumi Hamasaki, sorry I can't stand her singing). More anime openings need to be like this. I can't stand the amount of high pitch female singing and when someone like her shows around, she is a gem.
BladeBlur 100% agreed. I felt quite disappointed listening to Sailor Moon Crystal’s generic anime rock song. At least Card Captor Sakura kept its style.
This answer is still relevant today, I do hate the high pitch singing of anime openings today.
@@RobertGoitia i think it's because anime has become more and more exclusive to anime otakus & weebs. because the industry realise that those fans are the ones who will surely support them. while the normies dont support and some even try to cancel anime.

The songs from this anime have stuck with me for so long, even though I had long forgotten where I heard them from. So when this song started playing, that feel kicks in right away.
Back then, boys didn't usually admit to watching this sort of girly anime, so it didn't get much appreciation among my childhood friends. (And sadly, it seems that it's never gotten too much attention neither.)
I have never been particularly drawn by anime, but this stands out as one of those few I always remember, and I gotta say I like it very much. :)
It seems that I hear, it's second half for English speakers was never made.

Takes me back to my early teens, I would ocasionaly catch this on Axn, channel 12. As a young boy who grew up with Dragon Ball, this isn't exactly my type of anime, but I had a bit of a crush on her so I would tune in once in a while.

Glad i found this song, i watched this anime when i was in elementary school, maybe almost 2 decades back then. I dont like the anime btw, because my sister said that this was cardcaptor sakura rip off 🤣 but this song still remains in my mind especially the backing vocal sound, so iconic. When i listen this full song, it remains me of "Magic" song by Pilot. Now this song is on repeat🤣 the vocal, bass, is really good

Even though this is an old anime, it's something I picked up when I was in 3rd grade in '07, by chance I saw the DVD for the first few episodes in the middle of Pathmark, and although I knew nothing about this anime, I recognized the style and I KNEW that I HAD to have it... It was fate!~
This opening song is different from other anime especially with magical girl genre, and that's why it had deeper Impact for me

I think this is the most 90s anime soundtrack ever. The latest mahou shoujo animes are rock song and high pitched female voice, like Sakebe from Maho Shojo Ikusei Keikaku and Chou Musubi Amulet from Soushin Shoujo Matoi

I do like this song and was able to get this full version. But the TV version has strings playing at the beginning. I'd like to find it but haven't as yet. Does anyone know if it set like that only for the TV version and thus has no full version with the strings playing at the beginning?

So, I downloaded the midi of this opening, and I think I can actually make my own electronic EDM instrumental of this tune, take the voice from the opening and put it into my instrumental, and make an electronic EDM remix of this opening! That's an idea, I'm shaking.

Her voice is so lovely. When I tryed to search her name there were so many other Kyoko singers that I couldnt say wich one was she. :(

This sounds kinda too introspective and bittersweet for an opening theme.. Which is unique, I think the ending theme was a little bit more uplifting than this. Both still sounds bittersweet though...
I don’t think every anime should have to sound like a standard upbeat J-Pop song. I appreciate how mature, unique, and iconic this opening song is. I haven’t seen the anime before, but its opening makes the anime give off more “mature” vibes compared to if it had a generic high pitched Magical Girl anime song which most Magical Girls for children audiences have.
@@ModernF Totally agree.. The unique factor is just perfect in this opening theme. This, and the 1st ending theme are two of my absolute favourite anime theme of all time because of how bittersweet it sounds, and it remind me of my childhood when I used to watch this anime. I don't follow Corrector Yui too much though, but I often watch it without really having any context, just for the sake of watching anime for enjoy & fun.. oh nostalgia...
Rather than Cardcaptor Sakura, I somehow prefer Yui way more😅

Kyoko's technique is better, but the Spanish song fits the mood of the anime so much more, and I cannot possibly imagine how they make the season 1 finale work with Kyoko's version as opposed to how well it works with the Spanish dub version.
