This couldn't be more perfect. Im autistic with ADHD and gardening is my special interest. I literally quiz/teach people about plants and the little bugs. Makes me so happy and tbh I feel like im a little overbearing with it at times 😅
I feel like this is the most accurate representation of sensory overload that I've seen in an audio. I feel like most times when someone tries to represent autism or sensory overload in an audio, they ignore how unpredictable it can be, or they don't understand how it occurs. Given that I have autism and very sensitive hearing so this was very appreciated and very comforting to listen to.
This was so fucking cute and sweet, it was so wonderful getting to see such a comforting and loving audio directed towards autistic listeners. Like just the opening remark lovingly commenting on the joy that seeing a partner happy stimming can instill had me beaming and already on the verge of tears from the sense of love and appreciation that evokes, and you did a phenomenal job maintaining those feelings throughout the audio. And of course with how soothing and warm your voice is, the role of a comforting wife was a splendid fit for you x3 As always, you have impeccable taste with the scripts you fill, and it was really lovely to see you do another script by Turt1eShark, especially with how much care you bring to them to set the tone and make the characters feel alive and genuine. Thank you so much for this Fae, it was a really wonderful treat!
Thank you so much!! Originally I was just looking for a cute lamia script, but then I saw this one, and I immediately fell in love. As an autistic person who has sensory issues related to touch, it already struck a chord, but also the little bit about happy stimming was a delight! I do a happy little shimmy/wiggle when life is good, and my partner thinks it's adorable, and I think happy stimming of all kinds should be seen as the wonderful expression of joy that it is. (Other kinds too, I simply cannot sit still, and I shouldn't have to put so much effort into not being obtrusive. It's lame)
@@FlawlessFae Really glad you found this one then! The lamia angle for it was also really fun, since like in my experiences with autism, one of the best examples of "like recognizes like" is connecting with the sense of "other" that exists with demihumans/monsterfolk, which made for a really endearing detail to the script cause that just makes the relationship feel so much more real. Of course, having a lovely lamia to coil around you for the pressure is just the ideal too x3 I couldn't agree more about the stimming! Autistic joy is something that gets so little attention compared to other facets of life as an autistic person, so it's always a delight to see it get the recognition it deserves as a sincere expression of happiness. Also I'm gonna have to agree with your partner, the shimmy/wiggle sounds absolutely adorable. Hopefully life will continue to give you plenty of reasons to shimmy/wiggle! x3
My complaints to the script writer, it’s very authentic. I’m autistic myself: the love of knowledge, sensory overload , the need for a cozy space to retreat, the inability to deal with and process emotions. recognizing emotions is myself or others is different. I appreciate how the listener is not “Hollywood Autism”. Examples Sheldon cooper or the protagonist or the good doctor.
I really did enjoy this, the fact both truly do love one another and are super supportive of each other, as someone who has loads and loads of plushies, I am happy there's always some sort of comfort plush in a safe space.
Trick question! Vegetable is a culinary term, Fruit is a horticultural term, so tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers, and a myriad of other things are both a fruit *and* a vegetable. That also means you could technically make a savoury fruit salad.
I really liked this audio, I’m not sure if I have autism, I have some of the traits and it might be genetic because my cousin has it. I’ve been to scared to get a diagnosis because I’m still in high school and I’m not sure how my parents would react, also I don’t trust online tests too much. On a slightly different note, in elementary I used to be really obsessed with animals and people tried to come up to me and say an animal fact I didn’t know, I was undefeated :3
I’m on the spectrum myself, but I had a few questions. What is stimming? And Do some people on the spectrum usually hit themselves? Asking because I’m curious. I do have sensory issues triggered by excess chaotic sound.
Stimming is short for self stimulation. It can mean all kinds of things depending on the individual, from vocal stims, where a particular word, sound, or phrase is repeated just for the sake of doing it, or it could be something more physical. As a fellow autistic person, I have a tendency to wiggle and shimmy in general, and especially when I'm happy. I'm also pretty much constantly fidgeting with my bracelets just to give my hands something to do. That's stimming. As for the hitting themselves, yes, some people do. It can be a form of self soothing used when things are overwhelming. It's not a super healthy one though, so it's best to try and find alternatives where possible. I get very distressed by sudden loud noises, and while I personally don't hit myself, I do have a tendency to dig my nails into my wrists, which on especially bad days, can draw blood. I'm getting better with that though. But yeah, autism is a spectrum, and that means there's a vast array of experiences.
@ …well that explains my near-cellular attachment to my GameBoy/DS/Switch, and my tendency to pick a favorite word and repeat it when I’m either excited or upset.

As an autistic man I approve this a lot

This was so good! You did an especially great job in the soothing bits. Thanks for recording my script! 🐍♾️
This was nice good job for doing a established relationship that feels homey(is tht a word)
@Xephon_Ayato It is a word. Thank you so much!

Even if I'm not one for overstimulated comfort ASMR, this is really well made! I'm loving your channel!!
THANK YOU FAAAAAAE
