    Tim, although it's been 2 years, the technology is very similar today if not the same. You do an outstanding job producing and articulating whatever product you're working on and you don't mince words, professional, the Midas touch. I greatly appreciate you is the English language properly! Keep up the exceptional work.

    I wonder about the longevity. I'm heavily invested in Milwaukee. About $5000 in tools and $1500 in batteries. Getting into another platform is not ideal for me especially since i rarely use my Circular saw. Im super hyped they put the pressure on the other platforms to do better.

    It will be interesting to compare the Milwaukee rear handle saw powered by their new Forge batteries. I would imagine that it will put the Milwaukee on an equal plane.
    Framers very rarely do plunge cuts. I worked my through college as a professional framer. Probably the only time is when you have to cut a complicated piece of plywood. I personally did not like to do plunge cuts because it is easy for the saw to travel and kick-back when you plunge cut with it.

    There are people who like or dislike something based on its accuracy and complain if it isn't accurate so they take the human error out of the equation so that they can get the accuracy that Flex intended with this tool...very smart...🤓

    Can someone tell me where can I find a rip fence for this saw. Every cordless circular saw that I've seen doesn't come with one and they're so hard to track down. The store that sells the saw should sell the rip fence or the companies should just throw one in the box. Every time I wanna rip a 2 by 4 I gotta break out my makita corded saw and it sucks

  • @2down4up

    I don’t know if brushless motors in power tools are different but in the RC scene there are a lot of un-sensored or sensorless brushless motors. They usually just have a power and ground for however many poles they have. In these motor the “sensors” if you will is basically software watching the voltage feedback from the motor to determine if it’s spinning the correct direction or not. Generally once the motor is spinning, a sensored or sensor less motor performs the same. Where the sensors really matter is in very low speed low power control. A sensored motor will be just as smooth as a high end old school brushed motor while a sensorless motor can cog a lot especially if it’s only a two pole motor. Usually only use sensored motors in crawlers or touring cars where low super control matters a lot. Awesome video as always and even though I have no need for this I want it!

    NEVER use a powered wrench to install a blade on a saw! You can strip the stud or even seize it. Use the wrench provided with the machine! It’s handle is designed so you can’t put too much too much force on the blade bolt.

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think you may be a bit lonely with that idea. Most trades people don't think twice about using an impact driver to install their blades. You definitely shouldn't over-tighten it, but it's not that delicate. Thanks for watching.

    Aren't you concerned that the sawdust port lets all the sawdust out right at the motor intake? Seems like a bad design and may shorten the life of the motor.

I like the DeWalt FlexVolt too, but not as much. Frankly, I think the dual-battery SKIL saw (same company as FLEX) does a killer job as well. Thanks for watching.

    Mine stops cutting before completing the cut... even on a 2x3. Unfortunately I lost my receipt and eventhough I registered before 30 days of purchase, no dice on that lifetime warranty... or even a 90 day in my case. I bought it but never used it until just before 90 days roughly. No way mine could cut like this guy's does. Pretty irritated for what their tools cost. Unfortunately I didn't have a receipt for half of what I own from them as they were gifts from my wife. Should've got the receipts from her. Be warned guys! Especially when you want to replace your leaking batteries.

    Charger died on second charge. Nothing similar to Milwaukee, not reliable, not good service. In Manitoba no service centers at all! And they want a receipt for any service. Milwaukee is much easier to deal with.. Flex is for diyers.
