When I was a pre teen in the 60's this guy took us to the bus stop in a 64 GTO convertible. He wasn't particularly a car car guy per se, but somehow he got this factory car that was originally equipped with a 421 SD and a 4 spd and a 4:56 rear gear. He used to drive the car like a little old man shifting from a stand still in second gear then right to 4th. I asked the guy with the Catalina in your video about the car and he looked shocked saying there were only one or two cars built like that!
Man i love Pontiacs, that black gto with the steelies is the most beautiful thing ive ever seen😮. My mom had a blue 70's Pontiac grand-am with the 400, and my dad had a red 79 trans-am. My mom talking about that car all my life is probably why im mainly into Pontiacs. I have a 79 10th anniversary edition transam for my first Pontiac.
I think that you young man are doing a fantastic job with your knowledge of all this old school automotive drag racing history and period parts that were available back then. Then to compile all into a video format is the icing on the cake. Well Done Sir! Thanks 😊
I can't remember ever talking to anyone who hated Pontiac. Almost every car guy I know had at least one. The Pontiac experiment that is uppermost in my mind is the OHC-six; particularly the 4 bbl Sprint.
You should do a coverage on hi performance station wagons when you go to shows you will find them lots of people convert them ,I seen a superbee wagon ,a 66 Chevelle wagon ss 396 ,67 Fairlane wagon 427 super stock there out there and I know you will find them
Pontiac is one of those GM divisions that are missed. I owned a 1993 Grand Am GT, and I loved that car. Not a classic I know, but could be one day. VERY cool cars! Thanks for sharing!!
Now you know I got respect for you For what you do and what you stand for I wouldn't call that dragster Saying it's The part of the top is fake Because he does got a blower in the air nozzles do open up, If it was coming through a top of a car That didn't have a blower You could say fake. A lot of people would tell you the same thing Age difference I just turned 51 So I remember the switch over from black & white t vs I was around through the helmet law Catalytic converters Ride in the back of pickup trucks When the county workers could all have beers On the lunch breaks and nobody got hurt. Add a tow in account , The people that had the highway tow truck account Sat in a bar Had a couple beers It wouldn't got to work done it wouldn't a big deal back then nobody got hurt, Awesome saying is I wouldn't call that gentleman's car Part of his car fake after he let you shoot it when it's not fake Something to think about I didn't disrespect you God bless you and family .
Fake might've been a strong word, but that's not really a fuel injector hat on top of the blower. It's just a cover that goes over a regular carburetor. Therefore it is not a real injector. Wasn't meaning any harm by it.
I went to a machine shop and the guy had T/F engines and screw blowers around it was cool. I went to another machine shop and laying on a pallet was a 400 Pontiac block and some weird looking heads and I couldn't figure out at the time what it was. Turns out it was a Ram Air IV. That was more bitchin' to me than the fuel stuff. Guess I'm crazy.
Hell yea always great content are u on tiktok yet lol there is a BIG car community on there i dont watch the dumb stuff on there lol just good car people it's pretty cool because i dont have a lot of car friends lol some good people
If you have to explain you are not a Pontiac guy, then you are not a true car guy. You are only a Chevy guy. A car guy will never explain his love for any make of car.

Pontiac will always be in my Heart.
How about Oldsmobile?
I've been a Pontiac nut since I was a kid. Trans Ams, GTOs, Gra prixs, etc. I love em all.
Love ❤️ my Pontiacs!

Hard to pick a favorite but the blacked-out GTO gets my vote. Thanks for taking us along!
I owned quite a few of them GTOs in my younger days
Awesome bunch of Ponchos! As they were called back in my day...
Awesome group of Pontiac's love the old school car's!!
It's hard to beat Pontiac power. Great video
I use to own a 64 tempest with a built 400 pontiac power when I was 19 years old. Smoke all the 5.0 fox body mustangs back in the 90s.
As a lover of all things Pontiac since the early '60s, I really enjoyed this video ! Thanks for featuring the "Tin Indians" !!
Great video. Thank you
Do a coverage on that 65 burgundy gto station wagon that was a beautiful piece ,your friend Andy from Paterson nj o7501

Nice! Thanks champion. 👍🇦🇺
That 63 Catalina is next level beautiful, I just hope it gets driven more than on and off a trailer.
I had a 1972 LeMans with factory GTO Hood and Front Fenders. The give away was the 350 emblems on the sides.
I should have kept that car.
I owned a maroon hard top 65 Tri-power 4 speed GTO, and 64, 4 speed black hard top 4-barrel GTO.
A very good video on these Pontiac’s appreciate you sharing. 💯👊👍
Nice
I had a 64 GTO tri and 4 spd in the 60's and later a 68. I sold both cheap, I have hated myself since
Dad had a silver 64 GTO 389 6 pack and a stick.
👍🇺🇸
