I just wanna say that this is one of the best channels that I've come across on TH-cam! Thank you so much for what you are doing! Brilliant video as always!

Thanks so much. I really appreciate that. It's a labour of love. Really going to try to increase output frequency. But alas, it's a challenge.

      Couldn’t agree with you more!
Jordan has such a phenomenal consideration for such a wide variety of highly complex and nuanced ideas and bodies of knowledge.
Each video he puts out is so densely packed with information, and articulated in such a way that the viewer can easily follow and truly comprehend.
It’s not an understatement to say that this is the best channel on TH-cam I’ve ever come across as well.

Thank you! These topics are tricky. They often sound whacky. But I think it's possible to rigorously approach them!

Hey Jordan thanks again for the high amount of work that we can feel in the preparation and production of your videos. Impressive length and density 1+ hour of complex topic discussion well done, sleep is required after that haha.
Wanted to try and point out a few things:
    Things i really enjoyed:
    - Like many I believe that technology / mathematics and philosophy have very similar roots and goals, hence I really enjoyed your approach to the subject. We are not only building tech for tech but for a greater goal ( can be anything and specific to each one of us ).
    - Not seen in this video but love the practicality of your views, indeed many talk without applying, would love to see concrete proposals ( said in a very positive way, I truly believe that you could offer interesting takes )
    - Probably my favourite point "Overturning reality"! Mental model on point, building a model where people would be incentivised to do not only "the right thing" ( like most classical blockchain system through game theory ) but incentivised to strive for the right thing. They are not only passively incentivised but motivated by a bounty to shatter our reality and make the truth prevail. cool stuff. By showing humanity the truth you are making all of us go forward.
    Things i doubt:
    - I would be attentive to a confirmation / hunters bias where the human mind easily finds information solidifying their own thoughts. Thought about that during the parts on timelines discussion on pisces and others. Yes it can be surprising that it followed a trend that was pre-written, but aren't we seeing it because we are searching for it?
    - In the part around the world computer and the explanation of a stacking system around truth and scientific research I believe that the high level models could be naive, I am not fully certain that we already have found the models that will be used in the future to make people work together using these technologies.
    - Curious how to implement such a system, cryptographic schemes, online reputation, random committees, prediction markets, stacking, incentives, contests. Like the idea, despise the complexity.
Not written using GPT-4 to try and keep it genuine lol, could have mistakes and badly turned sentences but anyway, thanks for the efforts 👍

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I appreciate the critiques too!
      - I agree that it's very hard to rule out confirmation bias. This is why I mentioned that nothing in the video really hinges on the astrology. I think it's a cool reference to have, but ultimately I think the conclusions would be the same without any of the Aion stuff.
      - I'm not sure I understand this point. I think you are saying that perhaps we do not yet have the mechanisms we need to create a "truth layer" on the Internet? That could be the case, I'm not sure. My intuition is that we have enough of the primitives now, but the only way to know is to try to build it.
      - Yeah, it's a big question as to how to actually build the thing, no doubt. It would have to involve a great deal of experimentation and research. We also want to avoid complexity. But there's some trade-off there. For example, Ethereum itself is a lot more complex than Bitcoin, but we would probably agree it's a worthwhile trade-off. Similarly, scaling Ethereum via L2s is more complex than simply cranking up gas limit, but again it seems like the extra complexity here is worth it. Building an "information engine" or whatever we call it would certainly have some complexity, but it might also be worth it.
      Great points! Cheers 🙏

why does our information need to be graphed on-chain? information is ephemeral and perspectives on truth shift pretty frequently. what would bringing this information on-chain do? why would i gamble on the predicted outcome of a conclusion? wouldn't the conclusion have to be binary for there to even be a prediction market? what if the conclusion changes because of some future evidence?
not trying to be a naysayer - i just have come to this same conclusion before but never figured out why it is beneficial
i also don't see what the problem is with our current system. we have streams of information come from different channels that we can choose to trust or refuse - making our own personal discernment. we have the ability to save it, share it, edit it, and do anything we want with it. people can freely review, vouch for, and dispute information without having to pay transaction fees. globally, anyone can come to a consensus on any conflict based on who they trust. when media becomes censored, new media outlets emerge and we trust the censors less.

      - some information is ephemeral. most of what matters is not. ie. historical record.
      - you might gamble on prediction market if you think you know the truth on the matter, and if you have some confidence that the system figures out what is true
      - yes the conclusion would have to be binary for prediction market. so obviously it wouldn't apply to all things. prediction market is just one potential component.
      - if the conclusion changes due to some new evidence then you would want some stake to be won. if the original conclusion was aligned to evidence at the time those participants should not be slashed etc. all of these specifics would have to be addressed with good mechanism design.
      - the problems with the current system seem pretty obvious to me. it does not surface truth. it surfaces selective truths combined with falsehoods which serve different ideologies. curation of bespoke independent sources is laborious and challenging when the domain is outside a person's expertise. ie. if there is a major disagreement on some topic in biology, how am i supposed to discern what is true, or which experts are closer to truth? i'm not sure exactly how a truth/info layer would be built, but seems pretty clear to me that the current paradigm is not the "final" evolution ie. we're not at the end of history in terms of how these things are structured.
