Did a black ink test using 10 top brands blindly tattooing 10 silhouette butterfly’s on in the same area on the same person. Intenze Zuper, Nocturnal, Dynamic, Gorilla Stupid Black, Eternal Maxx Black, Allegory, Kuro Sumi, Solid Black Label, and Moms, Big Meas. Scored them in 3 categories Workability, Darkness, and Healing 2 years later Allegory is still the darkest and it scored a 9/10 in workability and a 9/10. Intenze Zuper scored 2nd and Solid 3rd
It's sad that you don't have that on a video. Would have been really helpful.. Has there been any new addition to that list of yours?? Adding Dynamic TB to that list would be of more help, because it's probably the most famous (extra black) Ink.
I think my favourate is intenze zuper black, how ever when i line i usually add a few drops of dynamic triple black and the line seem to come out consistant most of the time.
definitely panthera ink man XXX Tribal is dope af and their Liner is dark too my clients been tellin me, that they have been geting compliments on all their work lookin like its fresh when its over a year old
I use dynamic triple black for all of my line work and dynamic for shading and or straight color packing works really well for my style of tattooing as I do a lot of like neo traditional and kind of old school work and I don't use colors I mainly stick to just black inks so yeah works well for me...
Hey 7th, have you tried allegory. Litteraly the best black I've personally tried. My healed linework is darker than some of the people in my areas fresh tattoos.
Dynamic...and Indian ink are the same ...too liquid... But with right amount of Vaseline or butter and the right voltage it's working.. zupaaa black ...not that black like dynamic blue label... deepness of the needle... And needless itself curved Magnum 27... 0.25mm .. different from a liner or round shader..the tip of the needle makes a lot.. long tip vs regular. . Place on the body..type of skin and so on ...I use dynamic... with a bit of glicerol for to make it thick...but all of us using different techniques angle of the the needle how hard you stretch the skin voltage ... tattooing it's and art on constantly progress and development.. thank for the review and for to take your time for make the video and share your experience.. bless

Nice review and good unbiased approach. What about the standard options such us Dynamic black, Panthera black ink etc.? From the newer blacks there seem to be good opinions about Sacred black and Formula 23 by Intenze. Another surprisingly good one imho is Harajuku Outlining Sumi. Keep it up!
I was going to order dynamic but then that whole recall thing happened so I didnt. And formula 23 was my next purchase if I didnt like this one. I still might try it out. But as of right now I'm happy with the ones I have. What one do you use
I have tryed a number of black inks some good some not so good i have also tryed formula 23 and it is a good dark back heals nice only problem is whenever u wipe the ink it seem to be very hard to come awy from the skin and can remove the stencil so thats why im trying big sleep ink from that reason
in Spain the only inks which are approved by the Spanish government are Panthera & Skin colors everything else is not allowed , my personal favourite black lining ink was Mario Barths Gold Label lining black or Intenze's dimension black & sculpting black depending on what i need it for

I’m an apprentice for a very well known artist. I’d recommend dynamic black for lining and dynamic triple black for those darkest shades. I wouldn’t use triple black in a gray wash.

I have been using Kuro Sumi since i first started and then switch to Dynamic. Another artist in the shop just got some inks from Xtreme Inks. So far there Super Black is working with me. It goes in easy and stays dark and solid. Ended up getting my own bottle of super black and tried out there basic set. There Blue is bright and vibrant and the white pops in my clients skin.
I just ordered a small bottle of killer bee ink after watching this. I've been using Zuper Black- love how dark it is but not the best for lining and is very goopy. PLEASE do a video sometime reviewing colored inks🙂
I have line work done of an anchor ⚓ don't ask me why I got an anchor I'm not even in the navy but I got it of zuper black and it was just the line work of the anchor but I got it on that little soft tissue on the neck that when you press on it you can feel a little crater. That's where I got it at . I feel it is to thick for an area like that . I actually like the thinner black inks due to carcinogens .

The liner black specifically is very smooth and very black, heals are allways great. Makes for a great gray wash system as well. Honestly I can't find anything that heals more black then this
could not agree more bout the silverback - its hard to get it in there even packin straight black , makin own wash is just not happening . but they are supposed to heal with a little silver white shine in the grey so that tone looks kinda cool . but it takes forever to get it in for sure . zuper black by intenze is a tripple black so outlines are not the way to go , even have to water it down little if packin and it still heals sold dark black . BUT had no idea it was good for greywash ? have you tried out the brand solid ink ?
carbon black melts ,spreads to fade.iron oxide doesn't melt,doesn't spread .iron oxide is rock of mineral.So ink containing iron oxide looks very black and new.
I used it from 2006 once tattooing got legalized in South Carolina. It could give the blackest blacks and then gave nice smooth grays when diluted. Great stuff. Consistently great.

I have black onyx ink and it looks like how puddles look after rain. Oil slick type look in the ink. Like something isn’t mixed right. Shook the container and everything. Is the ink okay to use?
It depends what color of skin are you tattooing..for us brownys every black ink will turn up within few years kind of green..because if you mix black with brown of course it will turn kind of green and with white people mostly will turn up blue within the years...have you look at some tribal work from the 90s early 2000..all of them are kind of blueshis!!
Ive been a fan of zuper black for many many years, recently I tried the dynamic since I see lots of people using it and i put it in the garbage, I dont know how this people are even using that ink.
Have you tried nocternal lining black yet. So far my favorite, but my big sleeps just came in today actually so havent got to use ill update either tonight or tomorrow night and let you know I got the pelican bay and killer bee with the blue magic set. But that nocternal flows amazing goes in the skin great and stays dark

I tried big sleeps is for me really great...runs good stays blacks...diluted for really light graywashes it works great

Panthera Triple Black XXX worked great for me, I like the Big Sleeps as well
