Despite all the DIY tools, very labour intensive. Also @11:11 try using a drinking straw as it also collects the old glue and you can even squeeze one end to get into corners.
Wonderful work. Back around 2000 I used to make wooden cameras and conversion backs for wet plate photographers and can appreciate how much work goes into this. Beautiful camera
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship! How anyone has given this a thumbs down either don't understand how it works (the camera) or is just ignorant all together. Thanks for sharing!
Through 35min. I was followed all the steps from A to X of how a view, wooden camera are perfectly made with inaccuracy still final fishing, of the whole wooden camera, and the square bellows, plus the ground glass, I would like to know what kind of the abrasive materials which are used in making the ground glass, I'm so glad to see such a wonderful useful video, that needed to remember us the origins of photography, Thanking you so much, for the great and perfect effort, my congratulations for your awesome especially application of art manipulation, hoping a continuation of success for the coming generation.
Hello, first, great work! So careful and with beautiful attention to details! Where did you get the template from? Do you have any litterature on old camera manufacturers? Thanks ;)
I will not complain about the length of the video. 35 minutes just flew by and not only that, I learnt so much from it although you didn't explain, you showed very clearly each step of the process. Just by following along I feel like I can make one now :D
I didn't have time to watch through the whole thing, but you've made a wonderful work of art. You took your time and was careful with every action I saw during my skimming. I really appreciate work like this. Truly a wonderful looking camera you've made.
hermoso trabajo, no entiendo mucho de cámaras fotográficas, pero hago trabajos en madera, bastantes más simples, felicitaciones, también me gustó mucho la música, ¿que banda es?
100% RESPECT. Loved the music, would luv to know who the music is by but the quality of the video and the workmanship is top class, thank you for sharing.
Craftsmanship at its best! Very educational video for anyone who wants to get started with a project like this, even though I miss some footage concerning the plate holder which is a difficult part to make. From which material is the insertable light lock made? Many thanks for sharing your work!!!!
I bet this would look even better with a Schneider Kreuznach, instead of the magic lantern, lens. Great display of skills here! I particularly like the bellows fabrication and wonder how you would make one with the tapering outline for your plywood wet plate camera.
Thanks, only lenses I had available. I did not make those bellows myself, but to make tapered bellows you can use a tapered box. I have also seen other methods without using a box, but never tried that. The advantage of using a box is that they will fit perfectly every time.
I have no words... Thank you for sharing this! It is a true breath of fresh air in our plastic world. :) Do you have some sample images taken with this beauty?
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing the process. I really like your method for making the bellows. Could you reveal what sort of material have you used for the inside layer?
I’m getting ready to replace the bellows on a Century 10A and am curious. What materials do you use for the interior and exterior layers? I really like the texture of the exterior cloth. The stiffeners will be made from what we call “railroad” board.
Hey, it's really a great video! I don't have any carpentry background but I surely have learned so much by watching your video. But could you please name the tools that you use here, please?😁 Thank you!
Just enjoyed your proces of manufacturing that camera; I think I need to expand my skills a lot more to do this. But the lens was suddenly there, can you buy those lenses?
Hi!!! Congratulations for the wonderful work!!!! I'm starting some projects of building my own cameras, as well as i use and restore many cameras, including cameras from cinema, projectors, etc. i'd like to make some bellows i need. What material did you use for the "spacers" and the outer layer fabric? It appears the one we call in Brazil "nylon 600". The same used to make bags, etc. Thank you!!!!!!
wow what a piece of art this is! Looked like a fun build with so many techniques! Really liked how you made the concertinas, the wood choice and the use of brass. What was the powder used to cloud the glass? Best video yet! Also would be great to see some photos this camera takes.
I've watched many, many videos about this subject but this is definitely the best ever. Thank you for sharing this beautiful camera with us.
Thank you!
Best 35 minutes I spent on TH-cam for a long time! congrats!
Thanks, That is great :)
I'm speechless... To say "wonderful craftsmanship" seems woefully inadequate and understated. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching and your inspirational words, appreciate it.
Great job.. Would love to see some images from the Large Format Camera.
What, no tilt shifting? Kidding, awesome.
35 minutos 41 segundos ...víendo elaborar una joya de arte....cámaras hermosas...!!!
Un travail d'ébénisterie d'art admirable
Beautiful work… but have you done something in 4x5? 🙏
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship! How anyone has given this a thumbs down either don't understand how it works (the camera) or is just ignorant all together. Thanks for sharing!
Beautifully done. My regards, Mark Osterman: Scully & Osterman.
Amazing, I wish to make a 16x20 camera one day for wet plate and film
I can spend hours watching this... How talented you are and how beautiful everything is. How I wish I can do the same 😂 35 minutes of art.
This is gonna one of my "all time videos" on YT. Fantastic job, great skills, good music. Respect and good luck.
Wow, thanks. That's wonderful
Thank you for teaching me how to make Bellows. Marvellous job. Appreciate it.
A true craftsman.
Do you ever sell those? Amazing work !!
Wow! What a pleasure watching a true craftsman at work! You make it look so easy(which of course it's not), and your cameras are beautiful!
Humbling and inspiring at the same time.
Thank You so much for taking the time and trouble to video your process. I got some great ideas for my build. Very enjoyable!
Thanks

Hello, first, great work! So careful and with beautiful attention to details! Where did you get the template from? Do you have any litterature on old camera manufacturers? Thanks ;)

If you focus by making the rear standard move, doesn't the focusing rail stick out and get in your way of viewing the ground glass?
thank you for the video. Truely inspirational, your bellows, a work of art, magnificent
Very impressive!
hermoso trabajo, no entiendo mucho de cámaras fotográficas, pero hago trabajos en madera, bastantes más simples, felicitaciones, también me gustó mucho la música, ¿que banda es?

Wait, where does the SD card go?
It can only take micro SD due to the size
Dieter Schneider that makes sense. Haha
Micro SD card goes next to the battery.
That was brilliant!
