Nice one. Interesting in making physical form of things from toys, furniture, hand draft, I just know Product Design and go for it. While browsing College Board, I find this major. Wow, it's really near my favour

So design engineering is like mechatronics, but from a design perspective instead of pure engineering? Or is it closer to systems engineering, but in a more hands on way? I've been looking all the different types of engineering, an I'm a little nuclear on some of the distinctions...

Whats the difference in between product design and design engineering?

One is an Engineering Degree (science) that leans toward design, the other is a Design Degree (art) that leads toward making things (engineering in a loose sense, not necessarily all of the physics and mathematics, tolerances, numbers, etc).
