In 1962, age 7, I loved Atlantic city. I had a seasonal job there in 1996. Lousy to be there. I had an option to move there. Seeing how it was, NO! Recently was there November 2020. Some improvements. One time it was a great city. Since the casinos came, hardly any better crime wise, lots of horrible neighbourhoods. Rather spend my time and money elsewhere.
It's always great to capture the before imagery of neglected neighborhoods so the gentry can rationalize making it theirs. See Jersey City Before and After Images for Reference.

The profits from the casino taxes were going to build all new housing for the poor. That was 1980.
