I actually have a product question I use alot of different types of products to style my hair and I'm still looking for different kinds for my curly hair traid union helps alot but not really into the smells I am looking for a light to medium weight paste, clay and cream I found a wax that works great and smells awsome but pomades really dont work if the hold is too strong ends up pulling my curls and just not looking out the way I want so any good recomandations you can give me would help me out
your hair was already in shape before having product applied. shows that some people are just born to rock a certain hairstyle... my hair naturally goes straight down my face so I always struggle to keep it up even when I use hairspray
Every freakin time I use to scale my formula to make a large batch, I would get a different consistency!!🤕 it beat me down....bad. finally got it done right....its all about water evaporation. Calculating water loss percentage is key to scaling a large batch.
Hey Mike! I have thick hair like you and am looking at Flagship products. I want something with a strong-heavy hold. I am looking at both Blackship and their Cream Pomade. I genuinely can’t tell the difference from their online descriptions. Which do you prefer? Thanks!
I’d be very curious on your results of using black water as a prestyler and then comparing Summer solstice to their new matte paste (your favorite! comparisons!)
Clint W all the blackwater stuff was discussed in the videos for you. I discussed blackwater as a pre styler in the black water video and then you see results again in the pre styling video I just uploaded. Once you see that I’d go back and look at the results I presented on the summer solstice and then form the conclusion based on the two presentations. Thanks for watching!
Modern Man TV for sure have seen each of the three videos you mentioned multiple times. Was just curious about the actual combination of summer solstice and black water together is all. very nice watch, Mike. Its interesting that you mentioned Arcadian oil since I just got it and found that it gives me a slightly greasy finish in the hair. Will be checking yours for that incredible bay rum scent, tho.
Billy Pope oh fuck, dude, good to know. I was pretty disappointed with the arcadian one and was debating between Templeton and Dauntless, but for sure I am getting one from Dauntless on Valentines day
Aprolifix Blue yeah, dont know about the cream, maybe its better but the oil, even with one pump, darkened my hair considerably and gave it a greasy look no matter what I did. Dont know if its the sheer amount of oils or what but I will be saving to use as a hair mask.

The jar of matte paste I got from flagship during the scent swap was not creamy at all? Lol It’s back of the nail scooper. I smashed it all up though which made it better but it drys instantly on the hand. Wonder if it styles the same? 🤔 one thing I’ve noticed from flagship is that every jar comes different lol
Hey there! Wade discusses this in the video.. like exactly this.. haha. He explains that they are the same its just one was done in a small batch and one was done in a much larger batch and that changed the consistency. Its quite common.
Rumman Rashid this product is very strong but lacks control. It is a paste so it is brittle and can create a lot of fly aways. This product works best a type of prestyler which can thicken fine hair and prevent it from falling over. That effect will last all day but it does not control the hair. you need something to smooth and stick it all together. Flagship texture cream pairs perfectly with this. Also when I say every jar is different I mean slightly it terms of the scent profile, and product consistency. Sometime the scent smells slightly different or the product feels either creamier or dryer...but that’s kinda home brews 🤷♂️ handmade products will just kinda differ batch to batch.
I meant dominant more so that I’m not able to gauge which ones higher per say, but more so intense. Hold can be more intense and “in your face” without being higher technically if that makes sense.

In love with this product since revisiting. First try was a failure, but after a good trim and applying smaller amount, it’s hella tits!! Oddly no scent though..not a problem but would like to see this done in the Jägermeister scent👌🔥
I been using my tonic day and night hoping it will bring it back lol. I guess this is a good way to test the old "if you shave it all it will grow back thicker" theory haha!
@@MMTV I recently shaved my beard as well!! First thing I felt when I went outside was the cold air on my face😁. The cool part now is I can start using my artisan shave soaps!!👌.

Hasn't arrived yet. How bought we used the verb overhyped..... Or underperformed. Would that be appropriate or applicable to your sensibilities. I re read it and I can see how it came off that way haha I was in the middle of helping my son build something and typed super fast and put it down so that’s my bad. I meant it like “nevermore isn’t made by flagship and I’m sorry you think those other things are garbage, like you had a negative experience”. I actually would have to agree with you on forte haha but the other ones I’ve quite enjoyed actually but everyone has their own experience and opinion and that’s what is great about the hair product community. I also certainly hope you have a better experience with my matte paste thanks so much again.

Some people don't have easy hair to control on dry hair so damp hair helps alot.

I get the same result with Arcadian’s oil, but Dauntless makes my hair feel amazing. Plus that bay rum scent 😍

I pretty much consider the matte paste the clay of the line. I mean it does everything a clay would do, it’s just soft to the scoop haha.

Does it mean those 2 are stronger than flagship paste?
