I was hoping you would speak of Black Pete. When I was a child, we called the Black Santa,Pete. Pete was an enslaved person in the diaspora, who put coal in stockings. When the Emancipation freed the enslaved, so was Pete. Now, Pete can dress like Santa. He had red and purple robes with a white and purple cap. So when I see a Black Santa, I say hello Pete. He’s liberated now.
Growing up in Canada I was told "black Pete" was the elf that rode in the sleigh and kept Santa on list with the right gifts. Meaning he did all the real work and Santa only slide down the chimney to deliver and it was Pete who made sure that those on the naughty list got coal.
This is a great challenge to provide the truth behind the story of St Nicholas as the true day of Christmas December 6, 2024 not on December 25 which actually is Christ Mass. Thank you One Mic History of sharing the truth about Christmas @OMH
Also, another big thing, december was the 10th month for a looong time. This also emphasizes how commercialized this holiday is and has been for a very long time.
For one it doesn’t matter what color race so called Santa is , that fact that Christmas and Santa was some how tied to the brith of Christ is blasphemy, no need to say more ..
Growing up in the 60s, there was the movie that had its story that in Germany, whereas merchants overstocked with goods, sought to empty their stores. Two boys, one black named George, and the other white named Nickolas. George dressed in red Attire carrying a bag filled with merchandise while Nickolas helped hand out gifts to citizens. George, because he was Black, refused to call him St. George. The First Santa Claus, instead, the name went to Nicholas ... St. Nicholas.
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. - Isaiah 1:3 The feast of Passover, feast of Unleavened Bread, feast of Pentecost, feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and the feast of Tabernacles are our real holidays.
The first bible is from Ethiopia in East Africa. The only Black African nation to be apart of the League of Nations. The emperor Haliee was thought to he the second coming of Christ to Jamaicans. When they became Rastafarians they were praising the emperor as a Christ figure. In Ethiopia the royal family is said to be descendants of King Solomon after he slept with their queen of Sheba. Her son became the emperor of Ethiopia and was known as Solomon's child. So alot of Ethiopians see themselves as sons and daughters of King Solomon.

There was something that happened to me that I can not explain, but it did happen. In 1965, I was three years old and I couldn't sleep. I went to the staircase and I walked half way down and I set down on the stairs. It was late at night Christmas 🎄 Eve, and my mom left a light on on the stove. Dad had the Christmas lights on on the outside of the 🏠house, and the house looked so festive. As I was setting on the staircase, I heard a sound of bells coming out of the living room. I went down to investigate, and I saw one rain deer with a red sleigh behind the animal. This deer was like one you would find around the north pole because that deer was massive! This deer scared me so bad, but I heard a voice say to me "Don't be scared, he is harmless!" The man that said this was wearing a beautiful red suit like Saint Nicholas would wear. He was a very handsome melanated man with beautiful green eyes, and he hold me his named was Saint Nicholas. He was standing in front of the red stockings mom had hanging on the wall, and Nicholas stuffed each one of those stockings with different candies like chocolate, bows, and sweets! When he was done stuffing those stockings, he set down in his sleigh, and he asked me to go in the kitchen and get him a glass of milk and I did. He said he couldn't eat the cookies without a glass of milk. As he was eating the cookies, he asked me what did I want for Christmas 🎁? I was only three, and didn't know to much about Christmas 🎄. I started crying and he told me not to cry. He knew there was no gift or gifts for me under the Christmas 🎄tree, and he said no child should be without a toy. I told him what I wanted, and he told me to go get back in the bed because he couldn't bring them if I was awake. I did what he said and I fall to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. On Christmas day, I heard my mom calling for me to come down stairs to see my gifts. Saint Nicholas delivered all the gifts I asked him for and then some! My dad asked me who was in the house last night, and I pointed to a picture on a Christmas card with a black Santa on it, and my dad laughed out loud because he said he didn't want to get me anything for Christmas, and I told my dad that Saint Nicholas said that no child should be without a toy! I truly believe in my heart that anything is possible an especially if your heart and intensions are good. I had always had a problem with my dad, but it took Saint Nicholas to wake my dad up to not to mistreat me because of someone else's actions.
Cool story; showed this to my Fifth-grader and she said, "Dad, what's wrong with them; why did she call a REINDEER a "rain deer"? Why did she go through all that trouble just to tell a lie?" I told her, "That's just what they do, honey; they don't know any better."
@@ossoduro7794 the reason why I spelled it like that is because black people go through so much rain 🌧and pain in their lives, and this story is true.
