Y'see, what did I tell you Dave, you are truly loved and respected by the Beatles community and within the VC. Those Beatles albums you were given by the Vinyl Vault are proof indeed, if proof were needed. I have to say that Flowers In The Dirt is one of my favourite Macca albums, and it was shortly after that, that I saw him live for the first time whilst on holiday in Barcelona, so great memories attached to that album. The same with Love Songs, I have the copy that was my mother's and I remember calling round one afternoon on my way home from work and there she was sat in the living room with a cup of tea singing along with the album. She really loved that collection, so seeing it just brought back some happy memories so thanks Dave. Though it wasn't in those records there is one McCartney album on vinyl that is eluding me and that is Off The Ground, and for some reason it seems to go for really stupid money, in some cases over £150. I can't for the life of me think why. But I will get a copy at a reasonable price, not giving up... With you 100% on your twist and shout out's, esp Beatley Tone. It is so good to see him, and to see him looking so well, and rocking the bald look. I've told him to embrace it. I did almost ten years ago now and have never looked back. Peace n Love to you and yours Dave and Peace n Love to everybody else watching and or subscribing...

Hello my Beatle Brother, how ae you ?, glad you enjoyed this video, some lovely Albums in this lot very happy to add them to the ever growing collection, stay safe my friend, cheers, Dave
Dave, A notch (or a drill hole) in a record sleeve, is either a mark it is a deletion, with deleted surplus stock being sent to discounters to be sold off cheap. Also, promo copies are often notched or drilled to identify them, in an effort to prevent them being sold on. It looks like you have a deletion copy. Keep up the good work. Russell.
The original plan by EMI for 20 Greatest Hits was a double album with all the UK Beatles A-Sides. Capitol decided there was no appetite for a double album so it was cut down to 20 tracks. In the UK it meant Love Me Do plus the 19 tracks (17 singles, two of which were double A's) that made Number 1. In the US they included their own Number 1's like Yesterday, Eight Days a Week and Long and Winding Road and left off stuff like From Me to You and Ballad of John & Yoko that weren't Number 1 in the US. The US version also cut Hey Jude down to 5 minutes to cut the running time down. In Australia they got around the timing problem by issuing it with an EP of extra tracks.
Thanks for watching!, always nice to hear from you Mark, still playing catch up on your videos as been away to Liverpool for a few days, Hope you are ok my friend, cheers, Dave
Dave a nice haul, i got all these albums when they first came out, i did the same put them straight on to tapes to keep the albums mint. Dave isn't watching the wheels off milk and honey album i can't remember, I'll have to look later. I also got the white album in the 1980s, but mine is a miss press, strawberry fields and penny lane on side four ect tracks that make up the 1967... 1970 blue album, a massive manufacturing fault i think. Dave you deserve these gifts for all the hassle you have put up with these past 2 weeks enjoy the gifts you got my friend. Bfn Charles
Dave. Those corners on the Red 7 Blue album inner sleeves `Are` the early ones as they later had the `rounded` design. If the Discs themselves are pre 1974, they will be on the higher quality vinyl. The Oil embargo of 1973/74 forced record companies into using `vinyl substitutes` resulting in less durable vinyl. 👍👍😊😊❤❤
Hi Dave, You have received some gems from the Vinyl Vault! In 1977, Paul (Wings) started recording the London Town album, which they stopped as Linda was pregnant with James. Although credited to Denny Laine, Holly Days was essentially a Paul McCartney/Wings album featuring covers of Buddy Holly songs with most of the backing track recorded by Paul and featuring Denny on guitar and lead vocals and Linda on occasional keyboards and backing/harmony vocals. Paul (MPL) still holds the rights to the album and when Denny was ill, Paul was in talks with Denny's wife regarding re-releasing the album to help Denny financially. I hope that Paul will release a remastered version of Denny's Holly Days in the near future.
Hey Beatle Dave, those are some great looking records you have! Our Beatles 20 Greatest Hits here in the US has Hey Jude clocking in at 5:05. I have Rock n Roll Music Vol.2, its a Holland pressing. I'm looking out for the Canadian pressing of Love Songs on gold vinyl.
