Zambezi Survivor Here. I went to live to Vic Falls, from Colorado in 2015, for (8) of the best months of my life. While there I heard there was white water rafting & since I'm an avid river person (kayaking, rafting & white water) for years, my self & soon to be husband from Vic Falls decided to take a one day trip. Note: I was a 52 year old female at the time though strong & good shape. Wellllllll, did I get the shock of my life on this trip. There were (3) rafts & we were on one where we paddled with our unbelievable Captain Wilson Nguyena (spelling not correct) with Shearwater Rafting I believe. The 1st terror was seeing crocs on the rocks sunning themselves as we went by, then came the rapids. I yelled at Wilson (in a laughing way) there was NO way were were tipping over, so every rapid I & my boat mates & of course Wilson paddled frantically. Wilson handled that raft & read the river currents unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. It was beyond a blast, beyond terrifying & it turns out we were the only boat that didn't tip over. The one where only the guide paddled kept flipping so we had to help in the rescues. To this day, I honestly can't believe we did that run & I'll never, ever forget Wilson...who when we return to Vic Falls in a few months, I will find & shake his hand again (8) years later to thank him. Best white water rafting guide I have ever seen anywhere in my life.........WHAT A TERRIFYING BLAST! Kerrie & Pardon
Hello, dear. I loved hearing your story. Thank you so much for your comment. There are people who make a difference in our journey. All the best. Cheers
This is my fav river world wide😁 I love everything about it😍👍🏽 I wouldn't think twice if I had to be employed at one of the resorts near the Zambezi😎😊🥺
Crocs don't hang out in fast moving water because it uses up too much energy. They're usually found in calmer waters that have river banks that animals can use to drink from the river.
Yep, there are & despite them saying they are not in the gorge, let's just say on the first rapid we were on, on that run, was a croc up on the rocks sunning itself. OMG....Totally terrifying but the funnest thing we've ever done in our life...Won't do it a second time though. 😁
@@7Continents1Passport actually yes they do! A young woman was just attacked there while rafting, a croc grabbed her leg but luckily her friends were able to help her escape!!! It’s the only reason I came to watch your video
Not just crocodiles, hippos too, I don't think some people understand how dangerous they are don't overlook them they kill more people than crocodiles and any other animals in Africa

Some lady just got attacked by crocs while river rafting
@@jordanfinnjake1478 😮 I didn't know that.
I told you what my guide told me :-/

Music choice was terrible.
Commercially unraftable yet the company brought you?
just that one rapid is unraftable
And people consider this fun 🤦🏾♂️ that water a bit too rough to even enjoy it u just getting tossed everywhere
Just the first two or three rapids. All the others are fine.
