Oh my goodness I love when my audience appreciate what I do. I appreciate your time too, please like and subscribe and share to as many as possible so that everyone can make ugali like a pro. I’m curious, what do you eat you amaze me with?
I'm from the Caribbean and we make lots of different dishes with grounded maize. One of the dishes we make with cornmeal, is a dish called coo-coo. It's made the same way you made ugali. Options to coo-coo dish is adding coconut milk, okra, onions, some people add a few tomatoes. Like you said, it can be eaten with anything. I do enjoy it with stew fish, or fish thats seasoned and cooked in a little water. Sometimes coo-coo is made with the cornmeal and coconut milk. Also, we make it just like you, with plain water. (Turn corn). Now I see where my Trinidad people get our coo-coo dish from. It originated from our Mother country ❤️
I am from Oman 🇴🇲, I love eating African food, especially Ugali, whenever I fly to East Africa. I loved your channel, you make things so easy, thanks to you I can make my own ugali home without a need of flying ✈️. God bless, asante sana 🙏🌹❤️
Wow this is so similar to Caribbean funji, we use cornmeal and add seasoning to it (for example, okra, tomato, salt, pepper, etc.). I plan to try this and I'm happy that although the ingredients are different, the proccess is significantly similar. Thank you for sharing!
I liked the way you are explaining. Really it's clear and understandable. One glass of water is equivalent to two glasses of flour. Really I really enjoyed myself. Happy New Year 2022, a year of full health and success on all good . May the good Lord protect you.
Thank you for watching my video. Hope you get time to watch the rest. Please subscribe and share if you haven’t done so. Happy new year to you too, and that’s for the New Years blessings. Amen
Woi, it’s the opposite, 1 glass of flour is equivalent to 2 glasses of water because the flour swells up like rice. I hope you did it right though. How did it turn out for you?
Been away from home for almost a decade now. I'm from southern Africa, so we call it pap/poridge...lipalishi in my language. I can taste that dish you preped in the end through the screen. I miss it.
So sweet of you Fatma, thank you so much for watching. The recipe works for any amount of ugali. Please remember to share and subscribe if you haven’t done so.
Ekutan1, thank you for your time. I do not add anything since all the great flavours come from the stews, soups and vegetables etc that accompany the ugali. If you wish you can add a little bit and tell us how it turns out. Most of us enjoy without salt or sugar
If I double the portion, how long should I cook it? We just got back from Kenya and I'd love to start making some of the foods we ate. I'm going to look through your other videos for mandazi, sukuma, pilau, and matoke. :) Thank you for the clear instructions and measurements!

Thank you! I loved this video, and the way you described everything! I just bought some Maize Meal, and I can't wait to make Ugali!
Wow, thanks for sharing. This is very interesting, this is how we learn from each other. Really appreciated.

I am from Oman 🇴🇲, I love eating African food, especially Ugali, whenever I fly to East Africa. I loved your channel, you make things so easy, thanks to you I can make my own ugali home without a need of flying ✈️. God bless, asante sana 🙏🌹❤️
Ahmed, thanks for watching, I appreciate you
This is amazing and easy to follow the directions. Im about to make it for dinner..
Thanks Qali for watching. I appreciate your time
Wow this is so similar to Caribbean funji, we use cornmeal and add seasoning to it (for example, okra, tomato, salt, pepper, etc.). I plan to try this and I'm happy that although the ingredients are different, the proccess is significantly similar. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching and sharing how you cook and eat yours. I’m going to to look for Funji and learn something new.
Thank you Goddess. Appreciate it. I'm going to make some right now. 🙏🏼😊💚💜💚
Lale I am glad I could help thank you for your time and for watching my video. Please remember to like, subscribe, and share if you haven’t done so
I liked the way you are explaining.
I miss it.
Hahaha, thanks for watching.
Looks soft my favourite soft ugali/sima

Thanks for explaining the process of making ugali. Do you add sugar or salt?
Ekutan1, thank you for your time. I do not add anything since all the great flavours come from the stews, soups and vegetables etc that accompany the ugali. If you wish you can add a little bit and tell us how it turns out. Most of us enjoy without salt or sugar

that was awesome....after years detached from Tanzanian, today i got connected with this one....do we add alt any by chance, how good it for diabetic person...looking forward for your suggestion Sophia
Thank you for watching my video. I suspect you were asking if we do add salt. If that is the question the answer is no. All the flavours come from the stews or the vegetable and meats you eat the ugali with.
Corn meal is a great source of fibre and carbohydrates. It’s recommend if you want to keep your blood sugar levels low. You got me digging friend, and that’s what I found out. This is real good food. I eat ugali twice a week.
Thank you for this tutorial. It was really enjoyable and elaborate. Much love from Kenya 🇰🇪

Thank you sister i love ugali very very 🥰
Thank you so much for your time. What do you eat your ugali with?
@@SophiaKamauTVShow with sukuma wiki 😍
This has always been one of my favorite things to eat with sukuma wiki and lamb curry. Since I was a kid in Nairobi. It’s been a while since I’ve had this. Unfortunately the cornmeal in America is a bit different and it’s always yellow when I make it here! Thanks for sharing this recipe, subscribing to your channel 😊
