I have been taking care of a plant at my office for almost two years now and have not really looked into what it was. It was on its way to the afterlife when I started working reception there. After a whole lot of love and regular care I can gladly and confidently say the Chinese Evergreen in our waiting room is now healthier than ever! It’s got new growth constantly and it is just a beautiful plant! Your videos always come at the perfect time! I love how informative and vibrant you are! Thank you for everything you do on this channel!

A bit late to the show but I received my Aglaonema "crete" today and I just can't stop looking at it. I am a huge fan of these plants too. My other favourites are peperomia with so many varieties to collect.

That greyhound is amazing! Oh, Claire I wish I could take you to shop aglonemas here in Indonesia, there are just too many varieties to choose from. From the greenish ones, to the colorful ones, you're gonna love it! 😂😂

For Ross, (in case he explores more pinky Aglaonemas) I find the darker pinks more robust than the very pale pink ones. I just find the very pale pink ones are a bit more sensitive to watering.

The further I get into this planty life, the more I identify the species that bring me joy. 🥰🥰🥰Aglaonema🥰🥰 is towards the top of my list. I was so afraid a first because of my niblbing kitty. She likes spider plants & palms.

I just want to thank you for truly introducing me to agleonema!! I've always ignored them because they are to much for me colour wise, but I've fallen in love with the green and silver type, since watching this I have added 4 of those to my collection..... there aren't a huge variety of the green silver ones where I live in New Zealand.

Aglaonema Siam Aurora was one of the first plants I ordered to be shipped to me. I was convinced that the whole box would be delivered dead. Nope, all the plants were fine. My Aglaonema Siam Aurora is still alive and well. She’s a very slow grower but hasn’t missed a beat. I love her colors.
I put her in PON in May and transitioned without any issues.

Hi Claire. I love the “Fireworks” you bought for Ross. I wish now that I had chosen that one instead of the “Red Valentine” which I’ve now owned for about 6 months. It’s more pink than red but I still love it and find myself checking on it just about every day. There were actually two plants in the pot so of course I potted them up separately and now have double the joy. Thanks for sharing your Aglaonema collection with us, they are stunning plants.

I am currently obsessed with aglonema. My suksum jaipung is a showstopper literally. Its on my balcony and people actually stop and stare at that plant. I guess they are mesmerised by the big red leaves. Just recently got super white and tricolor. Now I want hello kitty aglonema as well. Yes it's so under rated. It's beauty and variety is unmatched to the point it almost looks fake.

I totally agree with your statement regarding aglaonema - I absolutely love these plants. And like you never found pests and its just the easiest plants (if you’re not an overwaterer…) I’ve had my silverbay for 2 years now and only had about 4-5 yellowing leaves, so gotta say that silverbay is my favorite and it’s a Big plant

Hi Claire, Your Aglaonemas look so beautiful!!! Having been grown so much in offices and shopping malls, have turned a lot of people off these plants due to association, which is sad. I have a few Aglaonemas and love that they are very low maintenance and can fill those dark spots in the house. Propagation is so easy too. Cut a stem off at the node and put in soil. I love all the varieties you own!!!! 💚💚💚

Hi Claire & all the planty people! LOVE your new pretties! If I may I have 3 questions! I brought home a 5" potted Nobel that once I got it home I thought possibly (and was right) had a sign of thrips. I chopped it down to a couple healthy baby leaves, washed off the top of the soil, neemed it all down, and put in a yellow sticky and THEN put a 12" clear garden cloche over it with the vents closed. It seems happy, the only other plant in the room is an Oxalis SO, 1. Does anyone else quarantine with plastic garden cloches? 2. Do you all think I will manage to keep the thrips from spreading all over my home or is it not worth the risk? And 3, How long do you all think I will need to keep up my routine and have Baby Nobel live in it's "bubble"? I'm excited to see it grow up large!

I agree, Aglaonema are very cool. Do be careful taking pests immunity for granted with them, I did the same and my Amazon Silver was one of a few losses to spider mites recently. Interestingly, it was next to my Peacock Feather and White Stem Cutlass which were both unaffected x

I've got two of those after you introduced them one being the cutlass, from your earlier videos. Sadly one got mealy bugs mainly because it was in a prime spot opposite the garden patio doors where I do a lot of garden pruning and drag the garden waste past ... a few times regularly brushing past the indoor plants. So I'm doing a regular treatment but she's still looking gorgeous and you've inspired me to give them a better, more prime locations

One of my first plants was a Siam. Its leaves are solid green with pink edges, and pink stems. I can only take a touch of pink. I have a cutlass that I rehabed from a store. I think it went bone dry, then it was flooded with water. I had never seen such rotten roots. My second attempt was to put it in a no drainage vase with pumice. I have 2 others; one came from Home Depot with no name. It has those white stems that I love. Then another is solid green with white specks, maybe named blizzard, or it should be. May need a yellow one next.
I do love them alot, but sometimes wish they grew a bit faster. Also, like you said they have to be placed no higher than eye level to appreciate them because they do have a number of prominent stems.

My tastes run more like Ross'. More is more. haha. Just as a general rule, I'm more drawn to ovate leafed plants and do not shy away from color. When I first got back into collecting plants, I bought an Ag Red Valentine. That one really got me going on Aglaonemas. I now have nine in my home and two at my office. It's hard to pick a favorite, but maybe my Ag Pink Princess. Dark green and white with just the subtlest pink blush. The two at the office are on a ledge of my workspace and I catch people checking to see if they are real quite frequently. I do think they are underrated and underappreciated, but I love them!

I absolutely love aglaonemas. They have been one of my favorites ever since i got house plants in my current home. I have 6 right now and another one coming in the mail this next week. :) I have the diamond bay, which grows wider and has such leathery leaves you just want to touch them. I also have the golden bay which has yellow stems and grow more upright than the diamond bay. I have the aglaonema ghost frosted which i think is one of the most beautiful ever. (I can only say that because I am not saying it out loud. LOL. I always think the plants might hear that.) I have one that i got from Lowes that I dont know the name of it, but it is gorgeous. I also have the golden madonna and the super white which i got from planterina. I get most of mine from planterina. Can't wait till they get some of them on there again. Some were bought so quickly that i didnt get a chance to buy one.

They were doing good at first but then i accidentally put them in too bright of light so the leaves shriveled up... so I moved it to lower light and it got happy and the leaves opened up but then i accidentally let the soil dry out and the leaves shriveled again 3 days later... are they usually this sensitive?? Oh, I don’t know why, but a dear friend of mine gifted me an Agleonema Pictum Tricolor! It is so beautiful! The camo pattern is so pretty. nature painting on leaves. ❤️💚🌱

    Holzkern @SusanneGarvens...
Hi Clair, 'Holzkern' sounds GERMAN.... I googled
and it's a company from Austria....
I don't have an Aglaonema yet, but they look beautiful and the fact that they are so easy to care for makes them a 'must have'.... Kind regards, Susanne

I vote for Zebra Feathers and Fireworks! I noticed you’re rooting Calithea in water. Do you have a out about Calitheas? Love your place, so many windows! Now I have to go find Zebra Feathers, 💖🇺🇸😎

agreed, so underrated! I think everyone just sees them as grandma plants. Oh well, more for me ☺️ no honestly I shouldn’t. I have 3 already and over 100 plants so this is NOT a good video for me to watch, you did try to warn in the caption 🤣
