Both him and Herman share a pretty awesome solo. It's well composed and theres a version of them playing it on the "young guitar" video.
and also you can check sam recording this solo, and see how it evolved
1:48 the way the bass suddenly punches in always startles me :-D

Somehow it sounds clearer, but weaker :/

The snare is way too thin. Sounds like a 10'' piccolo snare.
Sorry, but i dont hear any difference at all. I think they should have put the time to remaster this into new songs :/
Rag nara there is a lot more keyboard is here, backing vocals are louder, the solo and bass has been re-recorded.
I agree, the bass, keys and vocals have been turned up but idk about all the leads being re recorded, maybe Sams in the middle but the rest sounded like the original
Connie Irons actually they did re record the solos, they upload videos of them recording the guitars again
