That was amazing Alyn! Brought back so many happy memories. Glad you got the moon at least. Very envious of some of those photos... I think you may have won the game of who can spend most time photographing Antartica (I thought I was close!)... And getting that leopard seal was the cherry on top!
There's no way anybody spent more time photographing Antarctica than you! You were relentless man, your passion is infectious and all the guests said the same thing to me.
i have watched all of your video for two years, over and over… this knocked me out. you have the ability to see it and photograph it, like no one. to explain and speak to everyone…new bees and professional. it’s personal, you are a pal, a friend, a mate, our hero. thanks, you the man.
‘Incredible’ doesn’t do it justice! Another batch of awesome images Alyn - Nigel should give you commission for selling his next trip for him. Many thanks for sharing.
Just breathtaking! We're so blessed to live on the most incredibly beautiful and magical planet known to us. I'm not a photographer by any means, I follow you because I love your travels and phenomenal photography of the night sky. I live in the US, an hour north of Philadelphia and 1.5 hours west of NYC, so you can imagine the light pollution that surrounds my area. It's my dream to see the night sky in the way you regularly experience it. I'd rather be in the middle of nowhere in total darkness staring up at a majestic night sky than any tropical island or any 5 star resorts. Thank you for sharing your intriguing vlogs.
Alyn, you are by far the most complete photographer I watch on TH-cam. Your videography is sublime. You were obviously born with a camera in your hand. Diolch yn fawr.
Who knew, there were so many incredible things to see in broad daylight! Awesome images and video, along with those by your compatriots. I appreciate your inclusion of the environmental lecture. The Antarctic is such a delicate ecosystem and we are just coming to realize how its gradual thawing will affect the whole planet.
I could watch this a hundred times Alyn. It really must have been a trip of a lifetime and your photos and video content are just stunning. Thanks for taking us along.
Alyn, thank you ever so much for sharing that wonderful land, sea and sky; and who does not love the antics and majesty of "all creatures great and small."
Out of the other videos I have seen from this trip, this is the best. Your images are also the best of the bunch and for me really capture the essence of what I believe it was like to be there.
'Incredible' as you say is a understatement Alyn. Really enjoy your Vlog and epic landscape images and superb wildlife shots too. 👏👏 A beautiful feast for the eyes 👍❤️ cheers TreOphoto... P. S nice penguins 🐧 ✌️
I forgot to mention, I went sailing for two weeks as part of my Duke Of Edinburgh Award in my teens, and it was magical being at sea! We had had a pretty bad 2 days of constant storms, and out of nowhere a pod of Dolphins appeared and they all started swimming at the head of the boat, all excited like little Puppies, and the energy we all gained from those beautiful creatures, after 48 hours of awful storms, was something not of this world!? I do truly now believe in the healing spirit energies of those beautiful creatures, I will never forget it..."Oh, What A Wonderful World..." springs to mind...
Wow, what an experience. Some amazing photography there. Reminds me, in a small way, of my trip to Alaska. Shame you didn’t get to see as much of our Southern hemisphere skies as you wanted but hey, another excuse for a trip down this way. Really enjoyed both parts of this vlog - truly spectacular stuff.
My goodness that's gotta be a trip on everyones top 10 bucket lists! Incredibles! LOL! Thank You for sharing this once in a lifetime expedition! So many stunning pics! Wes, Liverpool UK.
Alyn, I have watched all the Antartica videos put out by your co leaders, Nigel, James, Adam and yourself. Your landscapes, wildlife, and videos are hands down the best of them all! Great job! Just INCREDIBLE!
That was amazing. What a shame you didnt get more night sky photography. Im watching the moon coming up looking like a large orange pumpkin tonight while watching this episode. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful trip.
I'd absolutely love to take this INCREDIBLE trip, as a gift to myself, when I retire in about four years. Thank you for the fantastic vlog (as usual). It was great to see a different side of your photography.
So Super cool...absolutely beautiful landscapes and icebergs and sea creatures and moon shots. I wish i was able to afford a trip like that...you are so right, a trip of a lifetime....
Disappointing not to be treated to the full show of stars in the Southern Hemisphere. But that’s clouds for ya, and the big moon was a consolation prize of sorts. Not sure how you would get good Astro photos from a moving ship, definitely not in the Drake passage . Thanks for sharing again Alyn. Stay safe 🇦🇺
wow stunning views... your enthusiasm and excitement is contagious, had me laughing and enjoying this video so much, thanks Alyn your incredible, and i dont care if it annoys anyone and repeat it as many times as i like... Alyn Wallace your incredible, incredible, incredible....
That was as you so apply put, incredible. I have been following all of the Antarctica vlogs and this was one of best. The images are stunning and your passion makes it so much fun to watch. Nice work man.
Seeing your amazing images makes me want to go to Antarctica even more! Stunning landscape and wildlife photography and you finally managed some astro too😁.
Wow... I once learned that "The hard part of photography is not the taking photos, but the selecting only very few of the thousands and thousands of shots you took and then bringing them into a coherent order, so that they tell a story". You did exactly this perfectly for these videos! It feels almost like I'm flipping through the pages of a very carefully curated photo book, where aspect ratio, color and width of the backround/frame, and placement of single shots or pairs of shots on one page (/video frame) are precisely determined. Oh, and the pictures themselves are gorgeous, too! :)

What the heck I was thinking about how I wanted it to snow then I looked at my calendar and thought I'm gonna see what Alyn wallace is photographing..... Genuinely what an amazing synchronicity .... Thank you for this beautiful personal insight into Antarctica and it looks fun sledging!!! Bless you 🤍🙏🏼
Brilliant video Alyn! It was just an amazing experience. I really enjoyed meeting you and thank you for all of the knowledge you've shared. To everybody else, if you have a chance to go see one of his talks or go on a workshop with him, do it.
Inspiring as always.. the first time I went with a group do whale watching around Monterey, CA.. it was a transforming experience to have been there.. the captain even had a drone and was able to take aerial footage of when the whale dive deep.. incredible memories and photo. I can’t imagine everything else you saw and experience but if time and health allows.. I will try to be around in 2024..
This was incredible, thanks for sharing! We're booked on a trip to Antarctica in January 2023. Fingers crossed that all works out and we can go. Until then I will watch your vlogs again for sure!

The amount of content that you produce at top quality is amazing! Keep it up Alyn!
What a fabulous, mysterious and beautiful place. Wish more people would realise how unique this planet is.

This has been a really fantastic surprise. Thanks for making it in two segments and not rushing everything in just one.

I could watch whales and penguins all day. The video of the whale's tale as it submerged was awesome. To be that close. WOW!!!!
I could watch this a hundred times Alyn. It really must have been a trip of a lifetime and your photos and video content are just stunning. Thanks for taking us along.
Brilliant, Alyn! It's awesome to see all of those special moments condensed into the two videos. Here's to many more future adventures.
Alyn, thank you ever so much for sharing that wonderful land, sea and sky; and who does not love the antics and majesty of "all creatures great and small."
Mind blown in regarrd to the naming!! 😀and again, a beautiful collection of photos! You should definitely consider more daytime nature photography ;)
You're right! That's just STUNNING!) Thanx for this movie, it really inspires!
Exciting Trip!

Very nice place
That was amazing. What a shame you didnt get more night sky photography. Im watching the moon coming up looking like a large orange pumpkin tonight while watching this episode. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful trip.
That moon, plus some good rain, equals fish spawning season. Here in Central Texas, it usually happens by now. But we are in a drought this spring.
I'd absolutely love to take this INCREDIBLE trip, as a gift to myself, when I retire in about four years. Thank you for the fantastic vlog (as usual). It was great to see a different side of your photography.
Great to see you doing such beautiful images in the daytime.

Amazing images Alyn!!
Amazing! Love your video!
Amazing
Wow! Amazing photos. Thanks for sharing that.
Now that looks like fun times. How chilly was that water?
Because of the salt it was below freezing. They reckoned -1.5°C. So I think I've just signed away any chance of having kids
@@AlynWallace How long did you last?
@@fototripper About 5 seconds. Shorter than usual I swear
@@AlynWallace hahaha about 4 seconds longer than I could handle.
A lifetime of the gorgeous trip ,I wish I will have a chance to be there in twenty years 😂 the damn COVID-19 almost ruin my life😫
What the heck I was thinking about how I wanted it to snow then I looked at my calendar and thought I'm gonna see what Alyn wallace is photographing..... Genuinely what an amazing synchronicity .... The trip of a lifetime. I'd think so to if I got shots like those. Well, heck, if I got two of those shots.
I made the trip in Feb 2020 with Quark.......... As you say, "A trip of a lifetime". Off to the Arctic this June. I always enjoy your vlogs.

Absolutely amazing Alyn, thank you for sharing! You lucky xxxxer! Think I would've wiped the seals nostril before taking the photo, though! 😉😉
Hi Andy. What month did you go where you got to see both day and night?
