Some people say this spider-man is the one from spectacular spider-man series. I wanna believe that. In fact, I can imagine alot of characters from spider-man's rogues gallery in emh since the design of this and spectacular spider-man do look similar since the animation style on both series are square-ish.

Somehow an avengers show with him in like 3 episodes completely nails his character. I genuinely love this incarnation of Spider-man. My favorite is still Spectacular Spider-man and Tobey Mcguire will always be the one true live action Spider-man in my eyes, but this one does excellent. I genuinely wish he was in more of the show. The conversation between him and Cap in the tunnels was one of my favorite moments in the whole show.

You could watch every Spider-Man cartoon and read every comic. Not one gives the vibes of Tobeys Spider-Man when it comes to the actual portrayal and personality. It's the stories from Tobeys movies that are so good except #3. His portrayal is nothing how Spider-Man actually is. So many Spider-Man writers including Stan Lee has even stated this. Tobey was way more mopey, overly dramatic, glum, gloomy, clearly not in HS and was way too brooding. That is not traditional or true Spider-Man. That is Sony's Spider-Man. As a someone who went to see Tobeys first movie in theaters when I was a kid, I literally remember feeling like "This does not feel like.the same Spider-Man I've been reading and watching in cartoons...".....and that feeling still holds up to this day. In No Way Home he did better. But performance wise, Andrew is THEE best Spider-Man portrayal. Tom is the best YOUNG Peter Parker as well as Spider-Man. Tobey is just....the OG.

I would love to see the sinister six and other characters from spidey's rogues gallery in here. Such as eddie brock, obviously venom, rhino, sandman, hydroman, shocker etc. Eddie brock's design would look like a mix of thor and cap, plus, they are blonde characters, so the could work perfectly. Venom would be like hulk just slightly less buff, maybe absorbing man's body proportion but bigger. Rhino would look almost like abomination but shorter, and sandman and hydroman would reuse absorbing man's body as well
I think Drake Bell is an underrated actor in my opinion, he’s my favorite Spider-Man voice actor behind Josh Keaton, his voice is also what I would hear an Animated Spider-Man sound like, I think his performance in EMH, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Avengers Assemble is pretty good

Why should he let it go? It's his right not to like it. Just because he's a fan doesn't mean he has to enjoy everything Disney throws at him.
And he's right. This cameo was originally meant for Josh Keaton. All the dialog was even recorded. Jeph Loeb wanted Drake Bell instead and Keaton was replaced on the spot.

Despite the controversy surrounding the recasting AND how loved Josh Keaton is, complaining about it to this day is really just beating a dead horse at this point. Especially as the general consensus here is that while not the preferred Spider-Man va, Drake Bell still put out a great and likable performance as this performance of the character (hell its even better than the one he did in his own show).

Another example is with the cartoon "The Real Ghostbusters". One of the characters, Peter Venkman, had his voice actor chaneged in the show's third season. It's been 35 YEARS and to this day, people are still voicing their dislike for this change and justifiably so.
We're allowed to dislike something no matter how old it is.
We don't have to watch it, but we sure as hell don't have to like it either.
This show might have better character interactions and dynamics than pretty much every other Spider-Man or Marvel show.

The one Episode where he teams up with Captain America is better than either of the two newest Spider-Man shows, I don't think I need to explain why it's worth the watch.
This show was the perfect template for the MCU, especially for how they should've handled Spidey.
