Good afternoon Chrome and Disco.. just wanted you to know that the AWESOME STICKERS you sent to my grandson just arrived in the mail and he is so excited. He goes back to the hospital monday for another round of chemo and radiation. Life him up in your thoughts and prayers please Chrome. Thank you again for making his day. With him having leukemia, and to just see him smile and laugh was so amazing. Thank you
#LiveYourPassion I just purchased my van a used 2018 Ram Promaster 1500 low top because I can stand up in it. I get it next week. The first step is to build a bed, and getting plastic shelving for temporary storage. I will then do as you suggested and use it for a while before making changes. I am so excited. Love your inspiration and videos. Luv you and Disco 😎 ❤️
Congrats, PCS!! Today is my one month van-i-versary. You are going to love your Promaster, I got the 3500 extended hightop as I'm super tall and need to stand up. You are lucky to be more petite so you can go with the lower top. Will you be recording your buildout? All the best to you in your new van life! :)
We're from uk and we love watching u take us around your awsome state....I'm even learning to drive at 44yrs old!!! Want the van life...freedom rock on chrome & disco you quys are awsome
Thanks Chrome...For the comment that vanlife can give you experiences a sticks and bricks lifestyle can never give you. I have been in my van for five months now and found that to be so true.
Upgraded from a car to a van 3 days ago! From a Toyota Avalon (sedan) that I was forced into to a Toyota Sienna (minivan) that I really really wanted. And inspired by you I made a trip to two stores for a camping cot(bed) and Target for some plastic bins for a super extremely simple set up in a couple hours (not including the time I spent removing the seats). And I am so excited to be an official vanlifer. (Bless those that make it work in cars, I was at a breaking point) but I soooo agree. There are things that are just a pain/harder in a car/van then a regular house/apartment. But now that I have a bed again plus the freedom of the vehicle. I am soooooooo excited. I've found so much beauty just a few hours away. And if I was just living in a regular house, I know I would never go just those few hours away. Got to stock up some money, then crossing my fingers on being able to road trip! You inspire me every video Chrome!
Love your new country life! Just a tip though, keep a close eye on Disco. Don't know what kind of critters live in your area, but surely you have coyotes, maybe wolves,or bears. I'm a city girl ( ie. Totally ignorant of country ways). My first night in the woods and I had a pack of coyotes staring at me in the van. Yes I broke the rules and cooked in the van, and yes I left the door open for fresh air, as it is hot here in the southeast, USA. While I was told they won't attack a human they will certainly go for a dog or any animal smaller than a calf. Witnessed that first hand camping at the farm. In the next county over, A man was attacked by a single coyote but it was rabid. The man lived, the coyote did not. He beat the coyote with a trash can lid. His only weapon of defense. Take care and be safe. It's a wonderful life. Oh and tip no. two, don't feed the wildlife too close to the van. When the mice come out at night to get the leftovers, they might think the van could be a nice, comfy, new home... An expensive repair after they chewed on the electrical wires!
Hey Chrome.. Dude just switch the bottom 3 drawers on the cabinets & move the propane bottle until you get the hose you need, at least you'll have heat if you need it.. The cabinets are the same & you cam always switch it back.. & Dude, very nice spot.. Looks like you parked in the middle of a Bob Ross Winterscape.. Hi Disco, peace out Wierdo's.. 😀👍
Chrome, you have no idea how hard it is watching you be at all those bodies of water with no fishing rod. I'd have my rod out and be fishing before Disco's feet hit the ground! You really do need to get a rod and reel. Get some Rapala CD-5 & CD - 7 in Brown trout, Rainbow trout and Fire Minnow and you'll be reeling em in in no time. Peace!!
Disco is just too dang cute walking through the snow and then cuddled up sleeping in your seat after his evening bath. Loved the chipmunks and birds eating up the seeds you fed them and wow what a spot to spend the night! It looks like a painting. Hope you enjoyed it!
Comfort level based on the individual's criteria........ and thank-you for your honesty, that sometimes it sucks living in a van, but that the trade off seeing nature up close and personal....PRICELESS!!!
As I've mentioned before, thank you so much for keeping it real, Chrome! And you DO have the best community here. Gorgeous video you've captured here, love these remote places. Take care, stay warm, BHTD (Big hugs to Disco). :)
You seem so peaceful when you’re out in nature. I remember the first time you camped, you’ve got a whole lot better at it! Last time I saw you way way out in nature you were very uncomfortable, this time you seem completely comfortable 👍👍👍 thanks for sharing your day with us.
Good winter for the chipmunk this year! He's pretty happy with full cheeks lol. Haven't been around in a while. Glad to see you're still towing the line Chrome. Take care.
3 1/2 years ill be 37 and an empty nester..Have been saving for many years not knowing for what really, but after learning about the van life its a no brainer.. cant wait to get my feet wet
I Luv watching your videos most especially the scenic route ones you shoot, it's like traveling along with you and the Lil Homie Disco!!! It's a true call of Nature , I mean, Dude you even captured chipmunks just roaming around collecting their daily grub not even worried about you being there, another sign of freedom!!!!!!
Hey Chrome, if you get close to Spences Bridge, go into the Pub for a cold one, when you gotta go, you'll love the graffiti in the biffy! They'll even give you a marker to add your own art to the decor.
I’m in Lethbridge now with no van heater I am so glad I insulated my van three weeks ago with the pink rigid foam board as the temperature has been going down to -5c but inside the van it’s livable Mid month I’m heading to Texas and Arizona and wherever snow is not for the winter:-)
IslandVanLife yes the fuel economy is fantastic I am still thinking to change the under the bed storage to something better, I’m going to see if you have a channel too :-)
Happy days .. It's been amazing to see your life transform over the months.. you look at home in the wilderness 🌿🍃 and Disco is clearly one happy dog 🐶😎
I borrowed some shots to use as my wallpaper. Now since your doors open, you could actually get a shower system and drape tarp over back door for privacy. i have the five gallon solar shower. Heat your water and put it in bag, hang it up you have running shower. Love the snow, please keep it with you. Today is in high 80s low 90s in north carolina!
Wow what a beautiful spot, 🐿 chipmunks are so cute but not as cute as seeing Disco excited over a 🏀 ball. Yeah melting snow turns into ice on the roads. I love to fish but catching a fish means you have to clean it unless you do catch and release. I’m sure there’s TH-cam videos on how to clean a fish. Have a great night, Hugs to you an Disco
Hi Chrome, i cant give this video 👍thumbs up I have to give it 👍👍👍! So nice to see you in the slow pace and enjoying life , and nature , and time with disco it was awesome ! I enjoy following your travels because you keep it real, don't ever change that. it's priceless.🚐
What a wonderful spot! I took some screen shots of the lake to use as a screen saver on my laptop. I loved seeing the fall colors too. Even at Home Depot. Vlogs like this and the laundry vlog . . . so much fun! Thanx Chrome & Precious Pup Disco! 😊👍🏼
Live Free or Die, I'm in Virginia, USA and the Shenandoah mountains are beautiful but what I've seen in Chrome's vlog's!! Wow! Canada is spectacular! Lord willing, I'm hoping to get on the road next year. 👍🏼😊
Pretty soon we’ll be watching Chrome Bushcraft vids! Then Disco sleeping under a pile of chipmunks...now THAT would tip the cuteness meter! Creeping up on 20,000 of us weirdos!!! Congrats!
Binge watching.....I have a fully loaded trailer that I use April to October, Plugged into power and water and I choose to boil a pot of water for a 'bath" in a basin. Cuz I dont want to use power to heat a whole water tank to take one shower. A basin bath is a sweet little thing. There is something about taking those extra steps to self care that doesn t happen with turning on a tap in a trailer with an uninterrupted view to a forest.😃
I missed this one yesterday because I was so busy with my channel. I call everyone on my channel family when I open up because we are and also the community that I've subscribed too. I've gotten some of the greats in my community that I've subscribed to talking about me yesterday, so proud. I'm coming after you man! Maybe in ten years, lol.
Love your video's Crome! Look for a new one every morning. Gets my day off to a happy start! The laundry video had me laughing and I loved the beauty of your new campsite.. you and disco are a Pleasant Joy! Keep the videos coming! Not many light-hearted ones out there
Ty again going the extra mile to show the positives of vanlife. Many times I have done a sink clean up for myself in the camper and it is refreshing for me as well. Disco probably enjoyed it as well.
So glad you broke away from the city life, to explore the country's beautiful landscapes! I'm so JELLIN!!! love watching you explore all the different places and especially Disco he is so adorable he sure has changed for the better Sence you started van life.you both have in my opinion! Its my plan as well just not in the cards just yet, but working towards it. Chrome you at Soooo inspiring to watch your videos! Its like I'm right there exploring with you through you videos. Your journeys and perseverance, your passion, enthusiasm will just keep growing every day so dont give up keep on keeping on, as they say
As for the propane hose, if you go to an hardware store, they sell the same pipe sold by the foot and also pipe splicer/ connectors with "O" clamps.... you can turn your standard propane tube into any length you need.....and if you want, you can put in an in line valve for propane on/off, so you don't have to open up the rear doors to turn on the propane...leave it on and use the inline valve for on/off near the stove and or the heater....
That was a beautiful spot you found to call home. Thank you for your videos, thank you for the time you dedicate to making such epic content. I'm having such a great time binge watching all your old videos. Sorry I don't always leave you a comment but I always make sure to click the like button.
Another great video, Chrome! What a terrific spot to camp for the night! The chipmunks were a really special bonus. You nailed it on the small inconveniences of van living-but, there are a number of ways to stay clean living in a van, even when you’re boondocking, so knowledge is the key to a successful van life. Best wishes to you and Disco!
It is very beautiful up there on the Penask, so many little lakes and hideaways. The wildlife are not shy and think you are great! Hope you stay warm overnight.
Hey, great spot you stumbled into there! And, just want to say that your video skills still shine even though you may be feeling 'restricted' because you're editing on the phone. This part was pure gold to me: 6:38 _"Listen... Nothing. You can hear the snow falling off the leaves and that's it. ... Let me show you this little spot. It's like I'm livin' in a freakin' fairy tale."_ Nature is to civilization as signal is to noise. You found pure signal right there!
Hey man, I love your vibe, great video, editing, music etc. Am super interested in vanlife and it feels like I'm getting the tour with a good buddy. Keep em coming.
Really good to see your taking it a little slower and enjoying it now. Yahoo for you city boy you made a fire. Ill give you a tip. If you see birch trees down peel some bark from it and you will find it is full of oils that make a great fire starter. Keeping a coffee can full of it will help you emencely. Its not sticky so you could put it in a paper bag. It even lights when its a little damp. Always make sure your pit is dowsed with water and stired to make sure all embers are out before you leave it. Enjoy enjoy!!! ATB Louise
Beautiful vid! Loved the little chipmunks and birds!! I am so stuck in this city of Saskatoon for the foreseeable future and I really appreciate this video! Thank you!!
Love this video!!! I start my full-time van life next month and have learned so much from you. My bed will be a smaller replica of yours. Thanks for sharing so much.
OMG I am getting the chills just looking at the snow.... probably because I am melting in South Africa with 45 deg C temps. Great scenery and areas u r driving through. Great camping spot, peaceful and quiet, true bliss. Hugs to u both
Hi Annette, Neal here from PTA in the freezing cold of winter June 2019. I have been watching Chrome since the begining, how long have you been a subscriber :-) where you guys from?
Hahahhahahaaa...You read my thoughts re: fishing rod......you've been driving by some great looking roadside fishing sights for months now.....added (+)= Disco Dog will admire/love you even more...especially when you begin hauling in fish (of any sort)...free ...fresh food swimming around out there (Iam fishing guide for 40 yrs )...tryit...you will like it...!!
Love your "back country..."chipmunks have been my cutest favorite since I was a kid at camp with a line of watermelon seeds hoping to lure one to my pile in my hand { yup it did }
Bro you capture the most beautiful sceneries you really do have a gift and I can see it in your eyes and in your voice live long my friend and please let me know if you catch fish I love fishing show a man how to fish he eats for the day teach a man to fish he eats forever and with your videos you show me inspiration and I want to say thank you for the that and not only that what kind of beers is that like to try that wonder if they have that beer in the US
Thanks for the "nature show" Chrome. I was fascinated to see the Grey Jays. I have never seen them before though they are listed to live here. We have loads of Blue Jays, PEI's provincial bird.
After a day at work this was truly inspiring! This may be the best vid you've posted! The natural surroundings with music was great. Cutting the music to capture the critters foraging for nuts was epic! Disco looked more animated in the cooler weather. Gracias Chrome!
Hey yens! I have a 1000 wt. Inverter n my van-plus a propane mr heater-heres my backup plan-use a small electric box heater-if it came 2 that-Im a gal who likes 2 have a backup plan to a backup plan. Also use 1 of those little propane torch tanks 2 start ur fire if u need 2. Ur still Rockin my day!
Seem like home Depot could contact the hose manufacturer and order a hose. My favorite town to visit is Vancouver B.C. so beautiful and relaxing. Your a lucky man. I live in Oregon and yes it's fricken cold!!!

@@patriciarussell7487 well shoot😞 wish I were closer, I would totally help ya out. Washington state and Florida are pretty far apart! My oldest boy (30 in Dec) has been to fla a few times. He loves it.
I can totally relate to how your whole vibe changed after finding that beautiful spot! I think you’d enjoy the videos on Pamthevan. She’s traveling in the UK with her dog in a small van in the wilderness. Peace from Chicago ✌🏽💓
Try going to a hydraulic hose and fitting shop for a new propane hose, a good one should even be able to take your current fittings and put them on a longer hose.
Feels like I'm on the this epic journey with you guys epic scenes another great video thanks for sharing with us all amazing photos you could make and sell these winter ones for Christmas chrome XXX

After a day at work this was truly inspiring! This may be the best vid you've posted! The natural surroundings with music was great. Cutting the music to capture the critters foraging for nuts was epic! Disco looked more animated in the cooler weather. Gracias Chrome!

I can totally relate to how your whole vibe changed after finding that beautiful spot! I think you’d enjoy the videos on Pamthevan. She’s traveling in the UK with her dog in a small van in the wilderness. Peace from Chicago ✌🏽💓

Your glasses are dope! Yes the nature is awesome too
Try going to a hydraulic hose and fitting shop for a new propane hose, a good one should even be able to take your current fittings and put them on a longer hose.
