This is so beautiful and I love the unique abstract pieces they’ve put into it.
my husband and i just finished this set and it is absolutely beautiful. It comes with a playlist that you can listen to as you build with experts talking about the areas of space you are building that just made it an extra layer of interesting, we will be lighting this kit and hanging it
My only complaint about this set is that there is only one frog 🐸
real asf
My wife and I just found this at a toy store in the city and impulse bought it yesterday. She’s not as big into Lego as I am, but we have been both looking forward to this set. I’m happy there’s multiple instruction booklets. We started building it last night while watching a movie. It was nice time.
I had the same experience a month ago and we had a blast. It was a great "Lego Zen" fun time, esp. when paired with some chill music (since the added podcast wasn't very long ^^). Hope you will enjoy it the same 🙂
@@Johann_Gambolputty_of_Ulm Thanks!
Thanks for the review. I love this set: I got it day one, as a display piece on my wall, next to the rest of the 2024 City Space release wave. To me, this is what Lego Art can be - a wholly original, striking image using an unusual building technique, that isn't a 'lego take on established IP' like the Great Wave or Spiderman.
I also loved having the specially recorded podcast to listen to while building, it had a lovely energy.
The thing looks cool, the colors are very vivid, and if I ever tire of it I still have 3k pieces of varying striking colours to greeble my other builds with, so to me it was a great deal.
As you say the build experience wasn't the best; so many small pieces in the build to push into place, it left a circular indent on my fingertip. But the result is striking in the morning light.
Yeah another amazing review by Tiago love what you do man 🎉
I can't unhear the way he says "cool" at 3:55 as the Roblox "oof" sound
More like Minecraft hit sound
Minecraft hit
As cool as this one looks, I can't help but imagine what a pain it's going to be to keep it dust free.
a long soft bristle paint brush is amazing at removing dust from stuff like this that has small crevices.
Would canned air just knock pieces off?
@@nonameronin1 if you are holding it right up against it, yet. But if you brush it and have the canned air about 6-10 inches away, it wouldn't be a problem.
As a Lego fan of 16+ years I can confidently say there is an easy salutation to dust off any lego... you don't! :D
I’m not huge into space but love the colors! Definitely picking it up if it goes on sale
What a beautiful looking art set! I own it, but haven’t built it yet. Can’t wait!!
Quite colourful its out of this world great review 👍
That 'you are here' is very the Total Perspective Vortex. Careful it doesn't anhilate any of your guest's minds.
Now please explain in n00b friendly language??
@@JorisDietz Okay in the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy radio/book/tv series, the worst form of execution is the as mentoned Vortex. Basically they stick you in, and it shows all of the incredible vastness of space, the sheer immensity of all creation, and on an incredibly beyond miniscule dot it shows just where you currently are and how insigificant you are in comparison. This is always fatal apart from that one time it wasn't.
@@stryke-jn3kv ahaha, thanks for explaining!
Lol in 90's exclusive in Russia were sold Lego dower chests by Milky Way. There were a little boxes with some candys and Lego pieces inside
I do appreciate them using different textures and pieces to give it depth. It must have been really fun for the designers to figure out how many different and obscure pieces they could use. Honestly my favorite thing with Lego is how a piece originally made for one purpose can be used for an entirely different one in another set
Currently building the 3rd strip out of the 5 and can honestly say i love this set. It looks so cool and cant wait to hang it
I love this set, will buy it when it’s on sale
I’ve been waiting for this one:-)
The milkyway is amazing. A total artpiece
The design of that space art set reminds me of the World Map 👍
200 eur for this is... yeah
its lego ofc its overpriced 😭
@@oscqwe I mean, it has 3000 pieces. So in terms of lego its relatively well priced price to piece. And if you compare it to actual framed art its price holds up reasonably well too.
Obv 200$ is still a lot of money in the end, but I wouldnt call it overpriced. (and unless you really need the vip points you shouldnt buy it from lego themselves anyways where it will always be more expensive)
@@stijnd5268 yeah but the piece are very small and just in general lego have a huge profit margin i think because they have no real competitors
@@oscqwe All the more reason to support alternatives, no? I haven't tried them yet so I might be talking through my hat, but Funwhole has sponsored a lot of lego animators (Loft Studios makes some good videos based around their sets) and the kits look really good to me! If something like that starts selling reasonably well, lego's prices and quality could get a lot better.
@@oscqwethey are also one of the best companies to work for and have one of the highest quality toy products with thoughtful R&D. It costs money to run a business like that.
Nice set!
My set is in transit. Can't wait to build it with my 12 yr old. Thanks, Tiago for the review
So Good, I thought this was a painting tutorial video 😂
Hiii, nice Video and i think its a pretty nice Set.
Wow, a set I ordered before you reviewed it! Thought you skipped this one for some reason.
Neat piece! Those pieces feel chaotic at the small scale.
Hi Tiagao, I love your content. Can you do a video about what got you into Lego and what sparked your love for Lego?
Looking forward to adding my work discount when it's inevitably price matched.. the perks of working for a major retailer who stock a ton of lego!
Tiago, have you ever noticed how similar those art plate pieces are to the old Indians jones raised baseplates they used in the original set that had the boulder roll and jocks plane ? Seeing them brings back childhood memories every time
Oh my god I love it. Thats beautiful
I don't know if I would be into this if I wasn't a huge space fan, but I am, so bought it!
Pretty great set, the part usage is hidden stuff are cool
Should be cheaper though
i loved mine, i wish i could build it again even though it was long and tiny
I absolutely love this. There are just too many other expensive sets higher up on my list.
I can’t help it, I bought this set, and I love it
I have this set under my bed to build one day its going above my artemis space set once i finish building the discovery shuttle
Found a few of my favourite pieces; a frog and a power miners crystal
3:55 old death sound from minecraft original
My first thought was ugh, but then i give your review a second n i see it's actually quite cool. 🍻
i need this wow
But does it come with a lego frog? With that many random parts, surely they didn't forget to slip a frog in there somewhere!
One thing that has to be mentioned regarding its price is also how disgustingly dusty this set will get. since it has insane amounts of surface area stacked in a relatively small footprint. So I guess that people will install some sort of glass in front of it, to protect it from dust.
Will you review the new ninjago wave? It has what many people consider the best lego mech dragon and temple sets
This looks really good. Especially if you hang it with kurzgesagt posters, which is my plan.
Should I buy this or the notre dame first? I’m stuck lol
Definitely going to wait for a discount. But still a cool set, just can’t justify $200 for a bunch of tiny pieces and no minifigs
Great review, thank you! Are you going to review Mona Lisa, Tiago?
I probably will at some point!
@@TiagoCatarino Great! Im looking forward to see your opinion about it, because the great majority of the community are criticizing it so much, but in my eyes, and considering the super challenge of make a detailed portrait art in LEGO, it looks very nice to me. So, lets see... =]
The higher volume in the middle seems opposite to what would make sense. Thunk it'd look better having the highest volume on outside, drawing your eye into the middle.
I want this so bad, but 200e is a bit steep, if it was 100e I'd buy immediately to put on the wall
I know you said it was interesting to see what pieces you were going get, but how was the over all building experience? I got the feeling it’s not that great considering there are so many small pieces.
Not great. You're just placing down random pieces to the baseplates. No amazing building techniques or anything. This one's just good for display.
Put it next to Mountain View Observatory!
Putting an art set next to a Minifigure scale set would be very interesting to display
I imagine the packing process would be a pain for this one, since it's a lot of small niche pieces.
Why does Tiago looks so helpless every time he posts something
I too was wondering that. Even on sets he likes.
Comparing price per pieces is somewhat biased for some LEGO set, including this one. Is price per weight relevant or a better way to qualify the price of the set?
Does it come with a lego frog?
It does actually! Pink ones if I'm not mistaken
@@TiagoCatarino Half-asleep Chris will be happy then xD
The Van Gogh set has somewhat put me off the art sets. Unfortunately that one weighed a ton and if you look at it the wrong way it falls out of its frame. As a consequence mine is currently in a box in a thousand pieces and I don't want to think how many tiny pieces I lost to the mysterious lego vortex that opens when ever lego touches the ground.
am ia the only one who sees the radar dish at the bottom left? what is that suposed to be ?
Gaia Space Telescope!
120-150€ would buy it easy!!
😊
0:38 Also Lego Star Wars :)
yet no classic space sets (except the GWP)
Hey, you improved on your ‘definitely’ instead of ‘definitifly’. Sweeett
I'm trying!!!!
Try to separate the words and then glue them together to get it smoother. Definit-ly. Try to kinda skip the second ‘e’. Greetings from Amsterdam btw❤️
£170...!!! Unless this is heavily discounted I can justify purchasing this..
It looks like you will have to look at this at a distance, to see the effect
I love how in the instruction book for the Gaia telescope they say it has traveled billions of miles in our galaxy. At just billions of miles, it hasn't even left our solar system
With 30 colors, how do those that have color blindness navigate this build?
By the different shapes.
I am not dusting that lol
Tiago,Can You Please Review The Despicable Me 4 Lego Sets?
(Pls Answer Tiago I Subscribed)
Don't think I will, sorry
@@TiagoCatarino Ok Then
This is the most futuristic star map to date, with all that potential plastic in the galaxy.
Wish I had the "space" for it. "Heavens" knows where LEGO comes up with these ideas. But it looks "out of this world".
Okay...I'll stop now.
It's not so much a love for space as a love for the heartless void of nonbeing
while it has an impressive long view look to it, the big question i have is- "why did we need this set?"...
Well, the same could be said about a lot of sets, but yeah, I feel you
Guys would you say 160€ to be a fair price for this set?
One of those cool sets that I just can’t imagine anyone buying. Where tf you gonna put this monstrosity
I mean for an art piece it looks really colorful and nice. But for a Lego set id pass. Especially with that price
Such a stressful build. One misplaced brick could take out 100s of stars and planets. 😂
Is very pretty but the price is just too much
This seems cool to look at but a nightmare to build
The thing that is on bottom-left lika an antenna or satellite is an easter egg??? For what???
Comment ?! 200€ ?!!! 😂
Do you get free Lego?
My guy said cool like a villager getting hurt 3:54
😆😆
Honestly I just don’t like the look of this, like all the unique pieces are fun and all, but it just doesn’t achieve a good final look in my opinion, it’s too rough and random and not in a good accurate to space kinda way
this set can only be described by negation:
It doesn't look bad but it dosen't look good neither
It is not a pain to build but it is not fun neither
It is not cheap but it is not a good value for what you get neither
In a word, this set is not :)
Hey🪑🪑🪑
( ͡° ل͜ ͡°)
I frankly don't see the point of these Lego flat image sets. Yeah, it looks pretty enough but what else has it going for itself? It's not fun, it's not playable, it's just... there.
The point? it sells. If it doesn't sell well Lego won't make one.
how to sell plastic for 1000 dollars
I really think this is BS... A mix mash.
This does absolute nothnig for me. I don't think it's a theme that translates well to lego.
How is there only 75 views and 19 likes? 😭😭😭
Maybe because it was posted 9 minutes ago
look beautiful :D
p.s: pls pin
If Tiago Catarino comments on this comment I will become a LEGO designer
Do it
@@TiagoCatarino I will
As a huge art and space fan, this thing is so UGLY!!
I like space just fine, but I think I'd rather die than build this set. Seriously, not only does the back look infinitely superior to the Milky Way itself,
but I'd feel extremely concerned about the mental health of anyone who buys this to build it for pleasure...
Looks a bit sh1t to be honest, even from afar it doesn't look that good if it's supposed to be the Milky Way.
