I immediately fell in love and downloaded everything I could find by them. I still listen to Clocks, We Never Change, and a lot of their other stuff to this day. Chris Martin, Elliot Smith and Neil Young are my favorite song writers.

It is not an aphrodisiac, it is frustrating that someone can play and you cannot! I hate it! And I tried to play, I even went to a music conservatory and all I can do is feel frustrated when some people are just born with it and I am clearly not! Sad!
Just keep trying, seriously. I think anyone can write good music as long as they stay honest and write for themselves, not for anyone else. If you want to write music, then do. Good luck and blessings!
Great interview. Love Chris Martin and Coldplay, but I really hate that he fell from the faith. It's always a bummer when we lose a soul to the world. Plus the music's not as deep, but good nonetheless. Funny, you can normally hear it in an artists music as they lose faith, and Chris is a prime example.
He didn't lose faith, he only lost faith in the existence of punishment after death in hell. There are other interviews where he says that he believes in God, but he is being very clever here and knows how to avoid answering these rather upsetting questions about his faith. That often is the problem with Howard Stern. He doesn't know when to stop asking very private questions which the person he interviews obviously doesn't want to answer. Chris Martin though remains kind and polite. On the whole, I agree, good interview.
