HERES NICE VIDEO IN THE SERIES TRUCK MAKES & MODELS THIS ONES ALL ABOUT THE VOLVO F7 THE WORK HORSE & BACKBONE OF MANY HAULAGE AND BRITISH HAULAGE COMPANYS PLEASE LIKE AND GIVE ME A LIKE AND THUMBS UP
F7 eight wheeled tipper with the 16speed gearbox, once you mastered that gearbox there’s nowhere it wouldn’t go on or off road and I used to think Scammel and Foden were unbeatable off road but these trucks with that 6-7 litre engine and the T-ride suspension would go anywhere, superb vehicle it’s no wonder they were so popular, happy days.
One of the best truck ever built. This and Volvo f86 was awesome trucks. The engine TD 70 was a killer machine. My dad had a Volvo f86 1974-1989..the only thing he need to do was fill up the with diesel, check the oil and the ordinary service, nothing more! Great trucks.
My Dad RIP drove a 6x4 f7. Lovely truck for its time. Have fond memories spending my summer holidays with him at work. I especially love the sleeper 4x2 tractor units. A lovely dainty little work horse.
Never saw a “Globetrotter” conversion on a F7 before. They were great wee motors. We had 3 of them and there was lots of useable space inside the cab, way more than you got in the later FL cab range. We had the 246bhp with 16 speed box.
If you mean these at 10:28, that was definitely not sold by Volvo. These topsleepers conversions were sold aftermarket at the time, for a short while they were popular for volume transport, until the rules were changed and the length of the loading area become limited too. Volvo did offer them as Eurotrotter based on the F10/F12. Fun fact, the F7 was the first Volvo truck with an intercooler, some years before the F12 did.
Drove F7s, for J.W.Cousins, they had a few different ones, mostly tractor units, 2 eight wheel tippers, and a six wheeler. They had one of the last F7s, for 38 tonnes, which is now preserved,(French transport, now has it).

My favourite Volvo truck series.
Used to be a common sight here in Sydney.
Still see them occasionally.
we had an F7 tractor unit, great to drive loved it, unlike todays volvo trucks which are built like a block of flats. the F88 was also great
,A lot of old established company's,sadly mostly gone now.
Nice motors.
