Excellent video. I was inspired by the suffering that the author endured when completing the classic version of the game as a summoner. Therefore, right now I’ll go through the classic version of the game as a necromancer with a poisoned dagger.
Please record that so I can make that video and never have to do that run.
Hell no, it’s pure pleasure to watch a professional play. And the weirder and crazier things we see, the more beautiful the videos we have XD
Hell yeah. This was my first character ever back in 2000 when the game first came out. Classic awful build, at LEAST 1 point into every skill (back before skill respecs were a thing), and I was also still meleeing mobs well into nightmare. I remember it took me like 2 hours to kill Diablo and I did it melee basic attack with a fucking great maul 🤦♂️🤣
Also, I don't know if its actually in this version because I know it isn't the same as actual classic but iron maiden + blood golem was an unbeatable combo vs. Phys dmg back in the day. The damage reflected from iron maiden would count as blood golem damage, healing both it and you, making you both invincible to phys dmg
Oh god the 1 in everything build. I'm glad my friends stopped me from doing that. On my first few playthroughs they just told me to build a basic WW barb. I don't know if that is in here. I've never even heard of it before. I should try it at some point.

I'm a classic player. I don't play much SP, but in online the trick is to max Bone Spirit and stack as many +skills as possible. Silks, +2 +3 wand, sigons shield, workskull etc. Yes you need mages and revives ;p. I don't bother with max resists, other than fire. To get a corpse use the clay golem trick while laying in 650 dmg bone spirits. Slow but it works.
Oh yeah that probably works way better but I tend to fully commit to themes :). I'm sure I'll do a bone run at some point as well. I enjoy doing classic every once in a while :)
I guess its not weird that I have this memory of having 1 point in bonespear on summon necro after watching this video

I played a classic necro one on ladder once back in d2lod, it wasn't that hard but I did spec poison nova + summons + CE + curses. Can't see how even a whole army of mages can do anything close to what level 20 poison nova can do.
Yeah Poison Nova would be better. But I like staying on theme for these video's :)
I killed Diablo hell as lvl 40 with iron maiden and blood golem. Dunno if it was only at the start.
Oh yeah Iron Maiden with the Golem is really good for sure. I can definitely see getting there at level 40
Allways fun to grab a full stack of skeletons, only for diablo to instantly do his fire ring attack, reducing them all to cinders
Yeah it's those kind of interactions that make diablo 2 extra special

Thank you! If there is a mod that speeds up the game I'll consider doing a D1 playthrough, but that game is just so slow. I've tried it a few times but I just couldn't really get into it
@@thenuclearrabbit The Beelzebub mod is what I would recommend with D1. It adds tons of quality of life stuff, as well as the ability to run everywhere. VERY cool!

I max blood golem in classic with skeletons and CE to make life a lot easier.. I used to try to do it without the golem but it’s too sweaty for my taste.. I’ve been able to complete hell like that. But it’s useless in higher player counts except for amp and CE
Oh that is smart. If I ever feel like doing classic summon necro again I'll keep that in mind

@@thenuclearrabbit I got a question, why is summoner necro better on the expansion than pre exp? Is it because of base stats or items?
@@user-dq2bx2wx1n It's much easier to get a lot of +skills in the expansion. Runewords help the build out a lot. You can use White or Edge, both are better then anything you will ever find in Classic.
It would be really nice if you could tell your minions who to attack. Would feel like you are more of an army leader
Yeah that would be sick. I walk up to the enemy I want them to attack, but it's more of a general zoning thing then actually being able to target.

I'm referencing a vocalist from a metalband in the 90's who was a bit into necromancy :) I didn't know about the Greek archbishop.

I used to work in a department with a lot of international stuff. The Greek cases were always recognisable a mile away haha.

I actually think expension is harder in general for ssf. Every single thing in act 5 can be insanely difficult

3:11 I forgot about that. Is blood golem better due to it don't slow the boss's ? I so want to do this online. Can you imagine how much a soj sells for O_o
Depends on how you want to kill him. If you want the skeletons to just beat him down the clay golem is better. If you want to do iron maiden strats the other ones are better.
There are still people out there farming rares and soj's on classic to convert them to expansion :) It's not common, but it's definitely a thing

Holland are 2 provinces of the Netherlands called Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. They think they are the most important part of the Netherlands (the capital and the biggest cities are all there). However we do have 12 provinces. So it depends on which part you want to talk about.
