I always love the sound of a cranked Marshall, especially these two! Absolute classics, I slightly prefer the Plexi for its beautiful and dynamic vintage tone. Rock on! 🤟
I have a 1979 JMP 2103, which is the 100W 2x12 combo version of the 2203 (the predecessor of the JCM800 2203) and a 2009 JTM45 Reissue. Played together wet-dry, they sound glorious.
Don't need the loud amps and 4 by12 cabs but cabs but I still want them as they sound amazing . I really dig low power amps but when it comes to cabs and speakers nothing sounds quite like a 4 by 12. I love 1 by 12s and 2 by 12s but a 4 by 12 has a unique sound that is hard to replicate with any other set up .
Great review. Looks good, good solid info, amps are mic'd well and played well. My only concern is that you didn't use the SV20H's Treble Input - the one where the rock really happens. You used the Normal Input which is fine too, but nowhere near as aggressive. Otherwise, great!
I’ve owned 3 JCMs 2x2204 and 1 2202 combo and a 78 or 9 JMP 100 Master lead head. Boxes of greenbacks for all of them. Sold them all eventually. Wish I kept some of them. 😢

That Plexi has an amazing sound!!!
Great demo. I Like the 800.
Great review, that Explorer looks like painted in an orange color, just sick!

Don't have the 1980s mashall jcm800 lead Sirius sounds
Is the JCM 800 combo suitable for bedroom use? Or is it too loud?
It has a master volume so yes it can be used at quiet volumes
What's the song of the start?? Awesome review!!
I’m pretty sure it’s I’ll stick around by the Foo fighters
Yes!
His guy never heard of of the ultimate Marshall guy - Ritchie Blackmore.😂
chris cornell right here
$1800 thry carnt even put reverb. The old 1986 jcm800 lead Sirius had gain & 2 volume. With reverb. Mashall now sounds like crap
Plexi players dont need that modern shit.
Bro was so mad he couldn’t spell
Line out and an effects loop on a Plexi makes it not a very true Plexi recreation.
Either way someone would complain. Personally I’m happy they modernised it a bit.
The Plexi sounds great. Throw away your pedals! Just turn it up!

Every guitarist MUST OWN a JCM800 and a Plexi. Sure thing boss, you buying? How about, "must experience"?
Jesus, it’s a video. Calm down
Haha I was thinking the same..
Chill bro
I've owned both a JCM800 2203 and 1969 Plexi, but they were cheap when I owned them 😂
he said experience, not own.
