Something tells me Mathews injury is his wrist for some reason, I maybe wrong but watched his shots n weren’t accurate tho he still has a awesome shot . Whatever it is I welcome him back tho the Leafs are doing great without him ..Go Leaf’s Go 👍
And they are both hurt another thing to add to the coincidental list u have provided. Matthews when he scores 27 more GLS in his ninth consecutive season here in 2024/25 achieving 400 gls does run parallel to Ovey's first nine completed seasons goal totals..
@@eirikrdberg1161 The future will tell he can easily hit 60 in his tenth completed season especially if his upper body get completely fixed whereas it's been an agonizing issue remember he's the greatest goal scorer since his rookie 2016/17 year til now in the NHL.
It says "upper body" injury on Matthew's R.I. list I hope it's not his back precisely simply bc that can be an agonizing career injury on and off the R.I. list...
@jamiecrawford7220 He has had back issues since he was a junior player. Nothing too serious but enough of an issue that a bad hit here and there can knock him out of the lineup. Also has had concussion issues.
@@johnsummerhill8323 Ya I know that I just said it to another guy on here about his upper body injury that's been lingering for awhile and that's why he was out but back now obviously and hopefully he can take care of that in his near future.. He's the best goal scorer in the league since his 2016/17 rookie season til now..
I'm thinking back too
I loved the Sundin and Tucker days. Darcy Tucker was one of my favorite Leafs players of all time.
I believe that they were called the hound line.

Matthews needs 27 goals to score 400 in his career. Ovechkin needs 27 goals to score 895 and set the all-time NHL record. Both are out with injury.

@ yeah. Ovechkin had 422 after 9. Matthews won’t score 500 before early in season 12.

FIRST Line where he always plays no where else
Back injury.
