I literally came for the camera but stayed for the storytelling. This is amazing it reminded me of a real movie instead of a short film I was looking forward to see what's coming next
Loved the color Grade on the guy with the gun. His skin tones look amazing
Beautifully shot... And good acting. You truly know how to get the most out of your C 100. Inspiring.
Best short on youtube!!! Dude with the gray hair played his part I actually felt his pain. His co-star was great too.
This needs to be a feature film with both guys.
Great short keep up the great work.
Bruh, really INCREDIBLE work.
Thank you! I really appreciate that.
Wow nice Film
👌🏼
detail shots and colors are perfect👍
Just came across this because me and my friend were looking at c100 footage. I was just pulled into the storyline. Every part of this was amazing with limited people on set.
First class short film! Congratulations a thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much!
HOLY SHIT! what a film. This is beyond great. Awesome job man!
Thanks so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
sword being the word for a lightsaber is pretty adorable . star wars having enchanted the kid is adorable . combined that is an adorable nurturing that gives some weight to "i dont think he has any" scary stories
This was unexpectedly good. Watched the whole thing
Great actors and everything, really! Awesome job on this, dude!
Thanks brother, I appreciate that! - Silas AKA MistaDadBod
My pleasure, bro!
hey man; this was good stuff. both actors did a real good job - didn't over do it.
Awesomeness actors Awesomeness camera man. Awesomeness mini movies
Appreciate the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the film.
Coloring is AMAZING on this short
god damn, this story telling was great! I forgot I was looking at this for the camera
Love to hear it! Thank you so much.
This was quite well done in all aspects. Bravo!
Thank you so much!
Amazing.. I feel like this really does the c100 proud .. I have much to learn to create cinematic shots like tbis
Great cuts...in the market for a c100
finally a good short after a while
pace, camera movement and first 30 seconds I was sucked into story
Story good
Direction good
Performance good
Cinematography good
Editing good
keep creating, keep making films
Thanks, Hemant, that means a lot. I was surprised by what we were able to pull off in such a short amount of time. This was created for a local film festival that we ended up winning 1 of 2 awards for so it paid off. Stick around, there's plenty more to come.
jaaaast beautiful
Thank you!
What a great film! The shot at 02:07 looks so cinematic. Was this film recorded externally at 4.2.2?
Excellent job in every aspect.👏👏👏
Great short. 👍👍
Impressive work! Really amazing
Came for the camera, stayed for the film. Great job
Thank you! That means a lot.
Me too to be honest, was thinking about getting the c100 and man this is so good
Very nice job! Did you shoot it handheld?
For the intense scene at the end, I did.
Fantastic! Really enjoyed that.
So thankful you enjoyed it! 🙏
@@sighlus At first I was just looking for some c100 footage but to come across a whole piece this well constructed was a fantastic reassurance that the c100 is still quite the camera.
@@Ryan-Payne definitely. It has an abundance of quality that doesn’t eat up a huge amount of storage. I use it 90% of the time because I know it can deliver, even on commercial shoots, and don’t regret it. Great look, great workflow, and my favorite camera. Especially being a one man crew most of the time.
Thx for sharing this movie. Cannot find any critics
@@Ryan-Payne The same here.
This is so beautiful 😍, please I'd like to know if you shot this with an external recorder using Prores 422
No this was all internal
@@sighlus please do you think this camera is still worth investing into in 2024, as I shoot events, music videos, short films and even social media contents as in reels
@@adebowaleayobami9975 probably not. I’d go with a Canon C70 or R5. It’s great but hard to recommend as a main camera at this point.
@@sighlus thank you so much for the response, much respect 😊
amazing work, gives me the urge to create something
Thanks! Glad to hear that it has motivated you to create!
Bro your work is incredible!!!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that.
Awesome work..
This is the Best short film I’ve ever seen. Congrats for this 🫶🏼
Thank you! Means a lot!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was great! I have no clue what just happened, but I have a good feeling about this one.
What Mic's did you use for this?
Sennheiser Shotgun Mic (can't recall the exact model) and a Fostex Recorder
Well done friend!
Good camera!
AMAZING
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Çok çok güzel. In English: very very good:) thanks for sharing....
Loved this! Wanted to see more!💜
What microphone did you use? Amazing work!
Did you use any bounce lighting or any lighting setups in this? Or was it all natural?
Everything outside was all natural. Cloudy day and using the tree line as a negative fill was helpful in getting that one look during the stand-off.
@@sighlus Beautiful work!
What sound equipment was used???? Sounds amazing!
I believe it was the RODE NTG-2 partnered with a Fostex Recorder
@@sighlus thank you. It sounds incredible !
great work, i enjoyed this piece.
I enjoyed your short film. I like the story and the cinematography. I also have a c100 mark ii, but when I move the camera, the motion blur is not as good and smooth as yours. I’ve tried changing the settings, but 23.98p fps and PF29.9fps shot at 180 degree shutter angle on AVCHD isn’t this smooth. Also, I have used an Atomos Shogun inferno external recorder recording proress 422 and the motion blur when the camera moves during handheld doesn’t look normal. Although PF29.97 looks a little better than 23.98p fps. The only setting where the motion blur looks normal, when the camera moves is at 59.94p 180 degree shutter angle. What settings are you using to film on the c100 mark ii to get the smooth motion blur that looks normal when the camera is moving (fps, external recorder, AVCHD, MP3, shutter angle/shutter speed)? Are there any other settings that you have changed to get a more natural motion blur when the camera moves? I love the picture from this camera when it is stationary on a tripod or at 59.94p, but I want to do more hand held or pans and tilts with the same quality of movement that you got in this film. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It could possibly have something to do with the quality of your lenses. What do you have?
@@sighlus thank you for your response. I have been using the Rokinon Cine lenses.
Hi man! Very nice work! Which settings did you use to shoot this? Color profile, mbps and so on? Thanks!
What kind of audio was used?
what mics?
I believe the NTG-3 with a Fostex Recorder.
Did you shoot everything 85 mm ?
I don’t believe so. I’ll have to go back and watch but I probably throw a 50mm and maybe a 35mm somewhere in there
Can I ask what mic did you use?
Impressive
Great cast
I came here for the camera quality but stayed for the film lol
Oh wow! That means the world - I appreciate that.
did you ONLY use an 85mm (which translates into a 135mm in FF world)?
Nah. I also used the 16-35mm Canon L-Series & the 50mm Canon L-Series I believe.
beautifully shot
Hey what lenses did you use?
I believe it was the following - Canon L-Series: 85mm 1.2, 16-35mm 2.8, may have used the 50mm 1.2 as well
@@sighlus which 16-35 did you use, sigma or Canon?
@@parisstudio Canon L-Series
Cinema log?
Correct. I usually bounce back between Wide DR and Cinema Log but I’m 90% sure it was Cinema Log for this particular project.
@@sighlus Thanks man.. I'll try to use c-log for the next shoot. Tried to use wide dr, but there's lot of micro noises.
Nice work. I had to "like" to get the likes off of 666. Now 667 that's better, JK LOL
that is amazing :) i thought it has smth like 1m views... w t f
Ładne
This looks so bad my kids can make better looking videos with an iphone
That’s awesome! Thank you for your negative feedback! Always appreciated!
Why are you filled with so much hate
