You don't deserve that at all. It's her insecurities that are showing when she gives low blows to her own children.
I am really sorry because I know how it feels. For example (meaning it wasnt the only thing said or done) I'm still dealing with eating disorders and started to become bulimic at age 12. I was 110-120 lbs and my mother would say I have kankels. I still hate how my body looks and even more when I compare myself to others.

When we were looking for my Dad when I was 15 before we knew he had passed- all the lights were on the house. When I walked in the house it felt super empty before I knew too. So when I heard “Lights are on but nobody’s home”, I started crying and I’ve never cried to music before. I’m sorry if I over shared. If it makes you feel any better, police found my Dad (heart attack) and my mom and I didn’t.

Later in life with my depression, I thought I was beyond saving and I'd go to hell for all the things I've done and just for being bisexual.
I'm now a Norse Pagan and don't regret at all, but this song strikes a certain sadness within me.

I just lost my cat that I hand raised for 3 years since she was two weeks old, we buried her outside my window, she used to tap on it and sit outside it waiting for me to open and let her in, it hurts cause I can still hear tapping and always look up hoping it her, she had babies 2 days before she died, we found them the day she died and I'm doing my best to take care of them for her RIP Nyx❤🕊 I prayed to God the night before telling him i wanted to form a better connection with him and apologizing for all my sins, telling him id do better, the next morning my cat got hit by a car. I miss her every day, the pain is unbearable, she was my best friend.

My mom sacrified whole her life for me, time, work, money, she left the parties and worked only on me. See, 2 years ago she felt really bad, she was getting more sick everyday and i couldn't do nothing becouse i was only 11 to 12, the only reaction i had was to hide from the reality and be in panic all the time. I just could see my mother dying day by day , i couldn't do anything. On october she went to perù, where she's from, and my family helped her a lot but it was too late. In Italy the doctors aren't good, the didn't even tried to help her... when she found her passport to perù she singed and she would even dance (she couldn't becouse her illness was too strong) if she could. She called me everyday and asked about me to everyone, she missed a lot our hugs, voice, all, we were a lot together. I waited until december, for her arrive, but one day later of the day i woke up, i went to the living room looking for her but my aunt approcheated me and told me that my mom wasnt there becouse many things and at the final she revealed that she died. I didnt cried becouse i didnt wanted to hurt my family's feelings. They were all crying except for me. The next day i went to school and cried for some minutes, like as nothing happened, becouse i didnt belived at my mom's death, i couldn't. Its passed a year without her. I had to move to my grandma's house, i cant see my dad, just one time a week, i leave home at 6am to arrive to school at 8 am (i can't even sleep), my family dont treat me really well, in this mini condominium we live in 9 and i don't even have a mf bed. I threw my old life away and now i have very good grades but i'm not mentally stable. Not i'll have to go with a psichiatric becouse i'm having many panic attacks, i do things that i dont wanna mention, i cry all the rays but i hide it, i just can't. Somethimes i can't, i'm exhausted and in a month i'll be 14. Me and my mom planned my 15's birthday together. This should be a delicate period (teen) and i should be with my mom and this kills me inside.
I know that there are people that are passing worse now but rn i only care about myself becouse i feel too bad and i'm only 13. The most of the times, when i go home, there's no one. I can still hear the "hi my love, pookie, bear, sweetie, my life, how did your day went". I really miss that, what i miss the most? Sleeping hugged with her every night.

I don't mean to vent but i feel safe in this comments:
There are two lyrics i relate to: "Lights are on but nobodys home." - I always looked out for other but as soon as it came to me i had no one to help me and i suffered on my own. I also used to have some olds friends but i lost them due to various reasons and i'm the last one left :/
The other is "God stood me up and I don't know why" - I relate to this as alot of my family tend to burden me and put their problems on me so then i can carry them but when it came to me everyone left me.
