I’m 39 and I’ve been listening to TOP since I was a teenager. Saw them live back in 2012, one of the greatest musical experiences of my life.
I love this version of Me & Mrs. Jones. It is the best ever and Larry Braggs and the Horns are incomparable! We need more music like this. Blessings to TOP for being a musical institution.

One of my favorite songs from back in the day. Billy Paul just killed it, but this version with that incredible horn section is just over the top. Wow!

Interesting, in all the times I've seen Tower of Power since the early 1970s, I can't recall a moment where they did other peoples songs. Might have happened here or there, but I don't remember. This is a nice version of a well known Philly Classic.

T o p has ruled the r and b world for 50 year I've been to more of their shows than I can count, my wife and I have had dinner with them in their trailer at Mimi,s urging. I've got one the original manuscripts of so very hard to go. Everyone autographed it. Got go on their tour bus (wow) at the Ohio State Fair. It doesn't get any better than t o p. They were a horn sessions section in I think LA. They decided to start recording on their own and the rest is history.

Simply beautiful. It's an uncomplicated arrangement with so much nuance! I think that Mic's subtle intonation on his trombone is overlooked. But man alive does Larry kill this song! He makes it his own! I love this...

This band has been my favorite since 1970 and they have shined over and over time and time again.. everyone of there lead singer were and has been great vocals from Lenny to Larry ..my boat on the Lake of the Ozarks is named Tower of Power..( Baja 252 ) love this band.. horns so great

this is really one of the best band ever. Great musicians and such a damn good singer. It doesn't get better than this. So refreshing to listen to real music instead of the trash music these days (dj's, rap etc).
I’m a trumpet player and normally tune in to the brass in the band but in this tune, the bass saxophone really rocks it. Great sound.
I just rediscovered Tower of Power. What an absolutely killer band. Oakland California soul. Just so good.

My alltime favourite band. Fantastic horn seaction. I've been huge fan of them since decades. From the era when bands didn't just have their 15 minutes of fame but where there to stay for decades (Egles, Santana etc).
So great even after all,these years....so cool. This music will never die.......hope new generations will,appreciate it.

This is so tight
I saw them around 1974, what a show. When I here this song I always remember being in a stereo/record store in 1973 buying a record. The teen girls in front of us were buying the Billy Paul recording on a 45. The salesman ask them if they would like to hear it on one of the high end stereos they had on display. He put the record on, cranked up the volume and I will never forget the pure joy on the girls faces as the music washed over them. I suspect they were taking it home to a much smaller stereo and to hear it on that system was pretty special.

Look forward to seeing TOP's new lead vocalist, but I must say it will not beat Larry Braggs! I'm sure he will have his own interpretation of the songs which is great, but the soul and depth to Larry's voice won't be matched - and that is something I'm pleased about!
This is better than the original Billy Paul version recorded in the studio and this one is a life performance.
